I purchased my phone in Feb 2013 on recommendation from family member. I am 70, and not up with latest technology but assistant set the phone up for me. Find phone easy to use and texting is brilliant, compared with an old phone I had previously. Have found hours of fun using the different apps. Camera excellent and easy to use, taking clear photo's. Have still to setup the phone for video recording. Samsung produce a brilliant info page to download and explain everything in easy terms. I have found this very helpful. I would recommend this phone to anyone. Easy to carry, not too small, so easy to handle when using as phone or texting.
The Nokia 5228 is not as good as I thought it would be. It seems very slow to start up. Just getting used to it though. It kept crashing when I was trying to do something on the web. It also charges its battery quickly and I don't have to run the battery out fully first. But I notice that I have to keep recharging it and my old phone I didn't have to keep doing it so often. I don't use it that much but charging it twice or three times a week now. It is quite easy to use and get used to, but not for someone who has never used an internet phone, as the instructions expect you to know quite a bit. It looks a nice phone though, certainly stylish. I was given it as a present so not my choice and if I had bought one, I wouldn't have chosen this one. The camera seems fine. Have taken a few pictures, it is very clear and nice pictures. I looked the current price up and its not too bad a phone for the price, but not for me.
Love this phone it is so easy to use with so many apps such as notepad, mail options, photos and the camera excellent. I also use Facebook a lot on it with ease. Very happy with the Galaxy S3 and would not want to upgrade it. Use simple features such as reminder for appointments and the calendar on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone including my friends and family. The touch screen facility is excellent, very responsive and adding pictures to my contacts is very simple to do. It is easy upload photos to Facebook with other media also easy to use. Like the varying ring tones available and also ability to download music on the go without any hold ups. Have several albums on my phone and use the radio facility as well.
The phone has a great design and performance, really easy to use but has one fatal flaw. The battery does not last very long, lasting about 2 hours when using apps and making calls etc. It lasts around 1 day if hardly used and only used for a few texts and calls with no camera or app usage. The battery starts to swell causing the phone to crash. I bought a new battery which stopped the problem and 4 months later the same problem. Due to this I have now got a problem with my speaker and white shadows on the screen. I have also heard other Samsung Galaxy W users complain about having to buy a new battery due to it this.
Use the phone on a daily basis, games, facebook and checking email are the main things I do apart from sending text messages and making calls. Found in the past 2-3 weeks that sometimes when trying to write a text message or use facebook messaging that it seems to be typing the word in capital letters but then not put it on the screen. I have to mess around going in and out of the application i'm using until it sorts itself out and lets you type and send a message. Apart from that fairly simple to use, my 4 and 5 year old sons seem to get the hang of it and play games on it without many problems. Camera ok not really pixalated when taking photo which is better than other phones i've had before.
