Good
Good first touchscreen phone

Jonesd24 posted on

This was my first touchscreen phone so wasn't sure how I would get on with it but its fine. Regarding the battery life its not good but then I use apps a lot, but it doesn't take long to charge. So for a first touchscreen its easy to use, camera is good as are the many other features hopefully one day I can afford a more up market touch screen phone. Its small enough to fit in a pocket but not too small to use. Its weight is good even with a cover on it. Able to upgrade the memory with a card which is a big positive.

Overall a good phone for the price, can't complain.

Great smartphone for starters

This is a great little phone, It cost me 100 pounds on a contract. I cannot fault this phone. It was my first smart phone and on my bill I got a surprise as it automatically connects to the Internet. I had to take the phone to the shop and ask them to block this. However everything else worked well. I didn't need the phone for Internet. But for alarm, text, calls and camera it was perfect. Simple and ease of use is what id describe it as. The phone is perfect for a new starter who is new to smart phone. Highly recommend!

Good, easy to use and affordable

I bought this phone back in December, I was looking to go from a basic phone to a smart phone. I decided to choose this one mainly because I thought it was good value for money and the design of the phone looks nice. It took a bit to get used to texting using the touch screen but now I don't have any problems. I love downloading all the latest apps through Android. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this phone to others if there looking for a phone that does most things like text, camera, download apps, store music etc and this is affordable.

Superb
The Samsung Galaxy Y a brilliant phone to buy

Allsortsmaster posted on

Great phone and easy to use. I like its small size as I can keep it in my pocket. I use my phone all the time checking my emails, surfing the web and I like to use the GPS which is very good and easy to use. I prefer it to a conventional GPS. I love to use the voice recognition to do my tasks as I don't have to use the touch screen when I don't feel like it.

The GPS is also voice recognition so you don't need to key in anything all you do is say out your required destination and it pops up and all you do is click on the ok button and you are ready to go. Sending emails is also very easy when you use voice recognition all you do is say send mail to someone in your contact list and then speak out your message which is very fast and convenient when you are in a hurry. I will recommend this phone to anyone as it is very good compared to the iPhone I used before.

All handset reviews by website users are their subjective, personal opinions and not of Rightmobilephone.co.uk (TRG Online Ltd).

What our expert says

One of the reasons that accounts for the popularity of Android handsets is the sheer range of choice. There are Android devices to cover a full range of budgets, and the latest member of the Samsung Galaxy family is aimed at the mid range contract and Prepay market. The Samsung Galaxy Y has a 3.0 inch QVGA TFT display, supporting up to 256,000 colours. Weighing in at just 97.5g, the lightweight smartphone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and includes a 2.0 Megapixel camera, with QVGA video recording at 15 frames per second. The Galaxy Y includes a full media player, with 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth with A2DP support. Web browsing on the handset is covered with HSDPA and WiFi available, whilst Samsung's SNS software makes it easy to keep up to date with friends on popular social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
