Superb
Covers everything I need and more

I love my Samsung Galaxy S3. Its a good size not to big or too small. Its easy to use and I have never had any problems with it. I love to play games on it and it very rarely crashes even with larger games. There isn't really any bad points, other than I have to charge it every day, but as I know the games take a lot of battery life it doesn't bother me. I have had it over a year an still as good as new. In all really pleased with my purchase.

More than just a phone, I love it

Emotk posted on

I mainly use the phone for emails, browsing, YouTube and calls which I suppose most people do. I also use the satnav a lot and it's perfect, you still get directions even when a call comes through or when you use another app such as YouTube. I have never had problems with the software or any of those functions even for emails that come from my personal domain (i.e. non Google). The phone is quite robust; I know this because I share it with my four year old, who has been using it since I got it, it's been dropped many a time with no bits detaching and scattering all over. The screen is still perfect even after being used to mop the floor. It's quite a slim and light making it perfect for fitting in the pocket. However because of its slimline and lightweight it's a bit difficult to hold, but this is easily resolved by getting a good case/pouch. The leather case I got for it allows it to sit on it's side making it perfect for viewing videos on YouTube.

I can't really complain about the phone because I almost didn't buy it because I thought it was a bit too big for just a phone; but now I am actually looking to get a bigger one because I have realised that there is so much I can do on the go without the need for my laptop. So it has proved to be more than just a phone.

Amazing phone, only let down is the battery

Louisew7 posted on

I have the S3 in white and it looks great. Since I bought it I have encouraged three friends to purchase one. Its alot easier to use than other makes in my opinion. The pictures and videos are so good that when you look at them its like real life, very clear. The only downfall of this phone is its battery life. I find myself charging it twice a day. I use my phone for texts, calls, internet and music and have never had a better phone.

Great for apps and simple to use.

Good points:

The colours and design of the phone, sleek slim and good size.
Great megapixel and storage space.
Easy to use when you first get it, I liked the camera most of all.

Bad points:
I like using my phone on a daily basis and sometimes I drop it. I have dropped it many times but this one time I dropped it, it cracks the screen. I think the screen could have been made stronger as this is the main aspect of a phone you are looking at and if it don't look good why would you want to buy the phone?
Sometimes the internet can be slow on it, i guess it depends where you are, but what if you are at home most of the time and all you want is some music to listen to but you cant because the internet seems slow. I think Samsung may need to improve on this.

Samsung Galaxy S3 - Brilliant!!!!

Seh1980 posted on

I love the design of the phone. The fact that you can personalise with your own ringtone and also change font, pictures or wallpaper is great. I like the fact it gives a lot of security options too for phone locking. Also the volume is really loud which is great for me as I am hard of hearing. It is easy to use too. The functions and personalisation is brill!

The downsides are that the phone is quite wide so hard to text with one hand. The keyboard is a bit small on the phone so a lot of misspelling, there isn't an auto correct either which is a bit of a nightmare!

The battery don't last long if you use the phone for music or browsing once your out and about.

But other than that the phone is a great phone to own as you can have your emails, social etc all on one phone and personailise it to your liking.

shame about aftersales service

Rj123 posted on

Galaxy Blue quick to boot up lots of good apps but there appear to be problems with blue model, screens can crack without due reason and not covered by warranty. Customer after sales from Samsung not good refused to replace screen without charging £150. Used on a daily basis good battery life and speedy. Maybe option would be try the white model and perhaps now they may have sorted the screen problem possibly a faulty batch. Have paid out privately to get screen repaired (half cost of Samsung) as really missed it. Would say it matches the iPhone for features and software.

SAMSUNG GALAXY 3 EXCELLENT

KIZZA123 posted on

Love this phone it is so easy to use with so many apps such as notepad, mail options, photos and the camera excellent. I also use Facebook a lot on it with ease.

Very happy with the Galaxy S3 and would not want to upgrade it. Use simple features such as reminder for appointments and the calendar on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone including my friends and family. The touch screen facility is excellent, very responsive and adding pictures to my contacts is very simple to do. It is easy upload photos to Facebook with other media also easy to use.

Like the varying ring tones available and also ability to download music on the go without any hold ups. Have several albums on my phone and use the radio facility as well.

I love this phone

Nanapam5 posted on

Best phone I have ever had. It is more of a mini computer than a phone. I download videos, use it to play games, online social networking. Read the news, get the weather. Anything that a computer can do. The phone is a bit on the heavy side but the screen is a really good size. Although the glass screen is tough it is worth investing in a plastic screen cover, this doesn't affect the use of the screen but gives it that extra bit of protection. The sound on phone calls has become a bit tinny in the last few weeks so I will be taking it to the shop for them to have a look.

Fantastic phone all round!

Snow747 posted on

This phone is still the best on the market for style, grace, design and performance. One must state though that the IPhone range are great but Samsung have definitely upped their game to be able to match Apple right through. I do believe that the next Samsung Galaxy S range will be a mind blower and as the market awaits in 2013 for the next range, I am sure that they will compete with the Apple range of phones. Samsung has come a long way and we Samsung lovers await the new phones of 2013. Samsung, keep up the fantastic work. The only negativity towards Samsung maybe one will be seen to suggest would be that the battery life can be improved and the design can only get better!

Awesome phone S3

Nelsonn69 posted on

The S3 has a 4.8in display and its certainly big. It's a slim phone from front to back so it is more manageable, but even so the phone itself is an all rounder. I have had my Galaxy S3 for about 1.5 months and I think it must be defective because the battery never lasts a full day. I use it for business purposes only, phone and e-mail, no video or major downloading or other apps. Wi-Fi, GPS, sound and Bluetooth functions are generally turned off and power saving mode turned on. Battery dies in less than 10 hours. Vendor I bought it from says this is normal. I would be interested in hearing comments from other users on the battery life they are getting with this device.

reliable good phone and perfect using as a business phone

Electricdaz74 posted on

This is a very good phone, it takes a bit of getting used to with the feel of the case, very slippery at the start, but now I'm used to it it is a great phone. Features and software are good, my brother has a iPhone, and this does everything that you need an iPhone to do just as well. Apps are great and easy to obtain. I use mine as a business phone, easy to make and receive calls, put calls on hold and transfer between calls, keyboard is a full qwerty keyboard touch screen which works well.

Good camera and features

Kelvinkam posted on

Battery doesn't last too long, it will only last about half of the day if heavily used during the day. It has a lot of excellent features and camera is excellent. Need to switch off some motion features to preserve battery. Android OS is good but quite complicated to use as I used to own an iPhone. Screen is also excellent, the colour is good and vibrant. I love the large screen and it is bright as well. I really want to praise about the camera because it took absolutely fabulous pictures and can compare with a compact digital camera. It performs very well in low light as well.

Must have Phone! Best on market

Lilflowa posted on

This phone is amazing. Ive had it since the release date and I'm not disappointed! The screen size is just right not as big as the Galaxy note and not as teeny as the iPhone! The curved edges makes it comfortable to hold unlike HTC one X that have much sharper edges. The display on this phone is also brilliant.

A con is the battery can drain quite fast as I'm a heavy user but I know its because I didn't optimise better to get full use! But I know this experience varies as other users have found no problem.

Camera is excellent and always complimented on how great the quality is. I also love that the phone has a Tethering option which allows you to share your phones Internet and data plan to other devices I.e laptop. I have used this before it works brilliant.

Also the interface is quite user friendly and I love the easy access to settings and other options which are available from the drop down menu. This was truly designed with "humans" in mind.

Overall A+ phone with A+ features.

Galaxy S3 details

What our expert says

The Samsung Galaxy S3 (S III) is the latest Samsung flagship device, taking the reigns from the popular Galaxy S2 (S II). The Galaxy S3 sports a superb 4.8 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280. Available in three variants, with 16, 32 or 64GB internal memory, the S3 supports memory expansion via Micro SD memory cards up to 64GB in size. Onboard is a high quality 8.0 Megapixel camera, with HD video, and front facing 1.9 Megapixel camera, also with HD Video recording. Running on Android 4.0, the Galaxy S3 utilises Samsung's own TouchWiz UI, and includes support for S-Voice natural language commands. This allows you to control various actions on the device such as launch camera or music player, change volume, etc, just by saying a command. Eye tracking software watches you watching the phone, to keep the display backlit longer, and motion sensors detect how you are using the phone to quick launch applications. Powered by a quad core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S3 also supports HSDPA, HSUPA, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS and Bluetooth.
