Fantastic all rounder for someone on a budget

DaiLafing posted on

Fantastic all rounder for someone on a budget, and who doesn't want all the features of an up-to-date contract phone.

Many networks will give this phone away as a pay-as-you-go upgrade now, and so for me this was a fantastic little thing. The little buttons are very fiddly, however, it is has a program running that monitors the adjacent letters to the ones you press... so if you typing away very fast and hit the wrong or two keys at once it compares what you typed to an on board dictionary, and guesses what you were meant to type and applies the correction.

The screen is nice and bright, but has limited colour range, and so some Images are washed out due to the screen (Not the camera). The camera takes better pictures than the screen can fully demonstrate, because once you blue tooth it to a PC/different phone, the picture is nice. But, the only thing with the camera is that each photo is taken in a large RAW format in a Nokia file extension, then when your not using the phone, it will compress them down to a JPG without alerting you.
I got annoyed with this because each 2MP image takes 2MB until it gets round to doing this. Which means unless you have a large Micro-SD card to put in, it's going to fill up the internal memory very quickly.

Aside from these problems, in addition to whats already been said about the camera, the camera interface/program is very temperamental. It's locked up on several occasions, and was not due to a full memory card. So as a camera phone it's not very good, nice to have it there for when you have nothing else available, but most certainly not the first device you should turn too, to take an important shot.

But, for this price range, its a fantastic all rounder.
