Fair
Easy to use, poor battery life

Sr264 posted on

Good phone overall with easy to use features and great apps. I work a long day and the only thing letting it down is the battery life, it does however recharge quickly. I think sometimes when you do the system upgrade it starts to freeze and often freezes if I'm on Facebook and will close the app and take you straight to home screen. Bit frustrating at times. Hard to delete unwanted original apps too. If you haven't had an iPhone yet however it is definitely the way forward with so much more choice and compatibility with Apple products.

Great
Great phone, only the battery lets it down

This is a brilliant phone from Apple now they have now managed to solve the original issues. It runs well and can do almost anything you need it to. It is fast and does not have a problem running many applications. The only major downside to it that I find is that it cannot retain it's battery life very well. I use mine fairly regularly all day and it usually needs charging when I get home in the evening, but the charging is a very quick process. I would definitely recommend this phone to anybody who is looking for a new mobile, especially as it is from the excellent Apple brand (they have superb customer service).

Stylish, modern, I love this phone

Stylish, modern, I love this phone and everything about it, easy to use everything is so simple and you dont really need to be told how to use it. Size is perfect not too big not too small, battery life is good depending on how much you use the phone, I play games on mine and can get a good 12hrs + out of it. Good apps and voice control, ask the phone about something example the weather and it will talk to you and tell you. Brilliant camera, sound on this phone is loud. Overall a good phone, I have had mine around 4 months and still learning new things about it. BAD POINTS, it doesnt have Adobe flash player.

Superb
The best phone yet

David64 posted on

I use my phone everyday since the time I wake up till when I go to bed so my needs are extensive.

The iPhone 5 is the best iPhone so far. It's light, fast, easy to use and lots of great applications from iTunes app store to use with it. Another great feature is the iBooks app, it makes reading a lot easier, I don't have to carry big books anymore though I really hope the cost for electronic books will be lower in the future as they are quite high at the moment in my opinion.

The bad point must be the initial price which is a little bit too high. I also wish the battery would last a bit longer, some days I have to charge my phone 3 or 4 times which is poor.

Great
Great phone. Easy to use

This is a recent addition in the form of an upgrade. I am usually a fan of HTC and Samsung but thought I would try something different as this phone was recommended to me by a couple of friends. I use the phone on a daily basis for calls, texts, emails and the Facebook, eBay and email apps. The features work well and the only fault I have found so far is the battery life. But have found a battery add on that doesn't really change the appearance of the phone but can more than double the life on the battery. My son age 4 finds this phone easy to use and enjoys playing the games I have loaded onto them. This is a very good phone and I probably have only used a small percentage of the features. I would definitely recommend this phone to others.

What our expert says

The Apple iPhone 5, in Apple's own words is 'the best iPhone ever made.' The new iPhone offers a larger, 4.0 inch retina display, with a pixel resolution of 640 x 1136. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass for extra strength, and the rear of the device is made from aluminium instead of the glass used on the iPhone 4 and 4S. The taller iPhone is slimmer than ever, at just 7.6mm, and weighs in at only 112g. The device supports 4G with compatibility with EE 4G UK. Dual band WiFi and HSPA+ are also available for high speed data. Running iOS 6 the iPhone 5 is powered by an energy efficient A6 processor, with improved standby and talk time. The iPhone 5 has an 8.0 Megapixel iSight camera, with Panorama feature, plus 1080p HD video. The front camera can record 720p HD video and Facetime is now available via 3G.
