Good
Good and fast but with a few issues here and there

SD103 posted on

This phone is simple to use and has a clean, modern design which looks great. The touchscreen is very responsive and easy to type on compared to many other phones, which makes ease of use even better. It is an easily customised phone, with a wide variety of cases available and features to enable you to move and delete apps as you please, though annoyingly some of the pre-set ones cannot be deleted. I have always found this phone to work fast, aside from a few apps such as facebook messenger which seems to crash more often than not. My only other issue with this phone has been the lock screen button, which has unfortunately stopped working, making it very annoying when I want to put my phone in my pocket or bag but have to wait for the screen to lock itself first. I have seen this has been a problem with many of Apple's phones, a simple but very irritating flaw.

Good phone poor network

Toad103 posted on

Have had Apple phones for a few years now and would not go back, it does everything I need it to and more. Just 2 criticisms and one is not the phones fault, first the battery does not last long enough, I have to charge it every day which is a pain and second is the area coverage, now i know this is done to where I choose to live, but reception is not brilliant and there is no 3g (landline broadband is poor here too) You would think Apple would put some money into upgrading the networks so people could use their products better.

Extremely reliable phone

Fatboab posted on

The iPhone 4 is a very reliable device that incorporates easy user accessibility and fun functions. Apps are very easy to download from the App Store and can be tailored to an individuals requirements. I use my phone everyday and the ease of predictive texting makes the iPhone easy to use. One thing to remember though is that if you use predictive text, to check your message before sending.... this could lead to embarrassment otherwise. All in all this phone is probably he best in its field and at a competitive price, should be seen as the market leader. My only downside on this phone is that the home button can sometimes stick but his can be easily remedied.

The Best Phone Ever!

I've had my iPhone 4 for over two years now, and I absolutely love it. It's easy to use, flexible, and does so much more than just making calls. The range of apps is huge, there is so much to choose from, and not only that, but your phone is your MP3 player as well. have lots of music on mine. Then there are games, movies, TV shows, videos - the list is endless. If you have an iPhone, you will never be bored. The only downside for me is that the iPhone battery does not last really well, if they fixed this, it would be the perfect phone.

Great functionality, Low Battery

JBurdon1 posted on

Has excellent features and functionality, allows Internet access including WI-Fi or your own network. Can be used as an iPod with its music features, and also has a very good camera. On the bad side, the weight is too heavy, and battery doesn't last long enough. Its not ideal for making a large amount of calls due to the weight and battery. Also I find the display awkward, I would prefer a phone with buttons rather than a touch screen. It is tricky when you are trying to type in phone numbers. Overall it is an excellent phone though in terms of functionality.

I really like the iPhone 4 it's a brilliant phone with every thing you need. Internet including wifi or 3G on the go which is a reasonable speed for a phone, sleek features, easy access to numbers, contacts, Internet. Alot of games which are easy to download and quite a few free games and apps which you can get. Excellent camera which takes great pics. Just a couple of "bad" points are that they battery doesn't last very long if you use it a lot, and the flash on the phone isn't great because it makes the pictures not the right colour, apart from that I've got no problems with it, can't wait to get the iPhone 5 though which is gonna be a better version on iPhone 4'.

I like iPhone it is very quick and fast for browsing thousands of free applications to download and install. Nice picture and Video resolution. But I am worried about battery power of my phone I have recharge every 2-3 hours though it is a mobile with many foundations I like it and love it. I have installed many apps on my mobile including Facebook and Skype. It is really appreciable to chat online from my phone. I have plenty of space on my mobile it is 32 GB to store video, pictures and many more. The touch screen is really fast and smooth you never know the feeling of touch of the phone.

Apple's iPhone 4 has truly revolutionised the way we see and use Smart phones. The amazing versatility of this handset has made it a leader in the market of mobile phones. The retina display leaves little to be desired by the user, not to mention the above average battery life. The processing power of the IPhone 4 makes multi-functioning seamless, and does so with a fantastic array of graphics appealing to the eye. The phone itself can withstand inevitable knocks and bumps from day-to-day use, whilst the touch screen is very resistant to scratches and nicks. It is very easy to use and has many features to accommodate all types of users ranging from visually impaired to hearing impaired. The down side is that personalising your iPhone has many restrictions. If you don't mind paying for all your personalised ring-tones and message tones, this won't bug you as much. Overall it's a great gadget to have, and a very reliable piece of equipment.

This is a really good phone overall. Very impressed with some of the things that the phone can do, almost as much as my computer at the same speed! However whilst on the Internet or playing games the battery starts to run out rather fast. I have many other smart-phones but the iPhone is by far the best. Everything that it has is great, camera, music player, Internet speed and the ability to choose from so many apps to download onto the phone. Out of the phones I have owned apple has come out on top of every aspect from design to the features that the phone consists of. The phone is so good I don't think I'll change to another phone company and may just choose another iPhone due to me being so impressed with the iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4 is an excellent addition to any Apple fan boys collection of gadgets. It's a great phone for a new user even my 78 year old grandad has one now. It's screen is amazing and allows you to view images in high quality and even the graphics on the games are high performance due to its retina screen technology. It's the most simplistic phone to use in today's market and allows users to pick up the basics very easily whilst offering the performance of one of the highest performing mobile phones in today's market. I use mine for iPhone to iPhone gaming, emailing, checking my CCTV at work, view websites and connect to family through Face Time which is video calling. There is too many features to list but bottom line is you will not be wrong by choosing this phone as your day to day phone it easily out rivals the competition and is supported by Apples of software to easily sync your data all though this is a pain so I use the free iCloud service to back my iPhone up and away I go!

Great Phone - Easy to Use

Skippy_ste posted on

The iPhone is incredibly easy to use. Make sure you keep the software updated as often this improves battery life. My only note is that for some reason my iPhone sometimes seems sluggish lately. But that might be because I'm very impatient! You can adjust many settings on the phone to make the font bigger/smaller etc. Make sure you get a cover, they're pricey to fix if you smash it! Plenty of great apps in the store, I've never paid for one but whatever your budget, there's tons of games to keep you entertained! Enjoy, you'll keep this phone forever!

Apple is well known for its design and innovative products. The iPhone 4 is easy to set up and run on a daily basis, with access to an ever increasing number of apps from the app store the possibilities are endless. I use it to wake me up in the morning, keep me entertained on the commutes to work, everyday factual information, to navigate when I'm lost. It is excellent for business use, keeping on top of my emails has never been easier, and with Facebook and twitter apps connecting socially is a breeze. The iPhone is more than a phone, it is impossible to see life without it.

The iPhone 4 has lots of good features such as email, web browsing, 5.0 MP camera with HD settings, Hi resolution screen but the most amazing is the apps store! There are 100s of thousands of apps available for just about anything that you need. Most apps are free and chargeable apps range from a few pence to a few pounds. I like listening to music so I find the apps store iTunes selection of music a real treat. There are a wide selection of music, you can preview songs before buying and when you are ready to purchase just click and its downloaded and payment is taken from your credit card that is setup on your account. No need to keep entering cards details etc. I use my iPhone 4 day for emails, web browsing, banking, calendar, Facebook, music player, games and a whole lot more. I would be lost without my iPhone! Bad points about this phone? Well I just can't find any!

Great iphone on the whole!

Liz15860 posted on

I had always wanted an iPhone and I love it! I find the large selection of apps really good and there are so many free and others very reasonably priced. My phone is never far from my side..much to my hubbies dismay! I use it for social networking and email and rarely have problems unless the reception is particularly bad. It has a great camera and allows you to edit photos on the phone. It is also easy to take picture of the screenshot.

The iPhone is certainly a very nice handset, one of the best out there, and nothing beats it. In my opinion, for Internet presentation and use, especially with its vary high quality screen. Two cons that I have are that although it has blue tooth built in, it only allows you to use blue tooth to connect. For example, a hands free headset; it does not allow you to use blue tooth to transfer files from one handset to another which seems a step back in technology considering what else it can do, also the very poor battery life. Hopefully Apple will address both these issues.

iPhone 4, a great phone and it's an ipod too!

Adamscashback posted on

The iPhone 4 is an excellent piece of kit. Anyone who is a fan of Apple will love this phone. It does everything an iPod Touch can do, with the added extra of the phone functionality. I own a 16GB model and is has just enough space on it to store my favourite tracks, photos, and apps. New features such as Twitter incorporation with the iOS 5 update make social networking a complete breeze. Only downside is the battery life, it's very short if you use it daily. I usually charge it at least once a day, sometimes more if I've used it a lot. Also the camera isn't great, even though it's a 5mp resolution. Works well outside in good lighting, but inside it struggles. I think this is mainly down to the very small lens. Overall, it's a great phone and will last me well for my 2 year contract.

The phone has solid build quality and wide variety of accessories available. It is very easy to use and there are extensive help apps to get the very most out of it. List of apps for the phone is incredible, there are apps for just about anything and a very large number of free apps. The camera on the phone is low resolution compared to many phones, but is adequate for facebook etc, small size quicker uploads. Kept my old phone just for camera. Video phone is fun, if your mates have the same. Internet access is fast, and you do not have to use the supplied browser. Make sure you get model with more memory than you think you need as you can not add memory or change a card. Do find the battery drains quicker than other phones I've had. You can help this by turning items off easily. I get round this by using a case/power pack from Tekkeon, but it does reduce the signal slightly - only noticable in poor signal areas. I do need the extra power, as I am finding more and more of the apps are worthwhile.

Great phone, poor battery

GBRedneck posted on

Great phone, with tons of functionality, theres an app for virtually everything.

After a year of fairly heavy use the battery was managing to last for around half a day, luckily i bought applecare for around £40 i think, which meant i got a free replacement battery installed at Apple's expense.

The great thing about the product is there are literally hundreds of products that are compatible with it hardware-wise, such as cases, external batteries and the like. I've recently bought an additional Mophie battery which has extended battery life through to around a 2 days even with a couple of hours worth of calls.

Was initially concerned when the phone was originally released about the reported reception problems, there do not appear to be any in the UK, but... after a recent trip to the US i can see where the reliability reports came from.

The iPhone 4 is one of many mobile phones I have owned. It is easy to use and doesn't take long to learn even some of the more advanced areas of the phone. Is very adaptable and with a wide range of features and applications, can be personalised to your specific needs. Personally I am in the military and travel a lot so the iPhone is perfect for me as it holds all my music as well as holding movies, TV shows and games to keep me entertained whilst I'm away from home. The only problem I have found so far is the battery life, its better than all the other phones I have owned. On a normal working day I only using it as a phone, its great will last the whole day and wont even use half the battery. But if I use it to its full potential I find I have to charge it up after 4 hours but it only takes 20-30mins to fully charge anyway so its not the biggest problem for what I get from the phone. I would recommend the iPhone to anyone, it has a wide range of uses and can be used for anything from entertainment to keeping on top of work on the move, its a great phone.

Very handy and fun to use for all ages, Apple has always been the best product. Good camera and video features. You can do anything with this phone, since they have apps in iTunes for everything from ordering your food and your groceries online down to email features and fast web access. Music is easily downloaded from iTunes too, so no need for an iPod or mp3 player.

There are so many features on this phone! Just needs a decent battery as it doesn't keep up with the Internet usage, games, free message, apps etc. It has a brilliant variety of apps you can download for example a i torch, mirror, different games, social networking and free messaging features such as whats app. The battery should be able to do at least double what it currently does. The phone does sometimes freeze and the screen goes to black with a apple sign however by restarting it it fixes it. Overall it is a amazing phone its like having a laptop with you at all times! I would never ever change my phone now until a new iPhone comes out .

Vixster3188 posted on

I personally think the phone is overrated, your just paying for the name where as there is many other smart phones available with the same features nowadays, its heavy compared to many, bad reception and hard to receive 3G most of the time. Battery doesn't last long at all considering its a phone being used 24/7. it has a good look, bold and can tell straight away what phone it is whether that's a good or bad point, Apps are good as they give you the top free ones to download, Camera isn't too bad, very easy to use even a child could work it out. The only thing I like about the phone is that its your iPod and phone all in one and can easily download music straight away with a press of a button without connection to your main computer/laptop. Also they say its unbreakable and scratch proof which is not true, the screen I must admit does stay smear and scratch proof but apart from that its a phone you have to look after.

First of all, the phone is completely malleable - you can choose its screen design, button lay out, how it sounds and can very easily be changed when your mood does. I use mine for almost everything, it is a mini PC in your pocket, and assuming you are in a Wi-Fi area, unlimited possibilities using the Apple App Store. I use it to call, listen to music, text, email, play games, as a sat nav system, to shop with, to look at cinema listings, check my lotto numbers - the list and possibilities are endless!! Play with one for an hour and you will find it hard to beat!

Apple IPhone 4 is easy to use and fun for everyone! The app world contains something for all the family and the screen is touch sensitive which means you don't have to repeat your clicks and the Internet is fast. The mail app and the YouTube app always work perfectly. The way you can reverse the phone is also good for any users in case they find it hard to hold the iPhone a certain way. The design is stunning and elegant and looks expensive, the glass back makes the iPhone smooth to hold however it can scratch easily so a case is a must for a recommendation.

The camera seems allot more powerful than it actually is, I love the HRD feature and the location services on the picture so it tells you exactly where you are when you took at the image. I use my phone for apps, texting and the ipod. The ipod feature is easy to manage, it sorts your music into sub categories which are easy to access.

The iPhone 4 is in many ways the best phone I have had to date. But it's also the most expensive. The iPhone 4 is an attractive, high quality device. The battery life of the phone is amazing, and it charges fairly quickly. The phone has many great features, including iPod, iTunes, Mail, Voice control, iMovies and much more. The touchscreen is easy to use and has built in wi-fi. The iPhone overcomes the physical limitations of screen size by letting the user zoom into sections of a page with a double tap. The whole page can then be dragged around with a finger. The iPhone 4 is certainly reliable, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

This phone has been excellent as a gadget, unfortunately as a phone it is rubbish, the issue for me is the same flaw that has been around since the phone was launched, calls just seem to drop off. Even though you have 3G available I am unable to use the so I just have to switch on the 3G so i can make calls. I have had the phone replaced by the Apple store and this new phone is identical. I hope this is fixed when the new iPhone 5 is launched very shortly. Shame I still have 10 months to go on my contract.

The iPhone 4 is very user friendly, meaning when I gave it to relatives who are practically technophobes they could pick it up and start playing various games and apps I had. I love how it combines my music with all my important contacts and details. I also like how it is so easy to back up my information, like when I had the previous iPhone and uploaded everything back onto the iPhone 4, it was all there, ready to use. It can hold a fair amount of data, I have over 600 photos which I know is a little excessive but its nice to have them. I also like how when I plug it into my computer, it uploads my photos into iPhoto. Its just easy and fun to use. The only bad point I can think of right now is how quickly the battery goes when playing music.

The best smartphone ever! (Until the iphone 5)

Pepperpotty posted on

I have had this phone for just over a year now and I couldn't live without it. I initially was looking for a phone with a key pad rather than a touch screen but when a friend recommended I try the iPhone I have never looked back.
Plus points are....
1. You can sync it to your PC very easily so if anything happens you have it all backed up.
2. The camera and video camera are very good quality. The zoom is a great feature and I often use the flash for low light conditions.
3. I have 4 email accounts and I can view all of my emails in one place on my iPhone.
4. There are an amazing amount of iPhone apps to suit everyone.
5. I use the Internet on my iPhone more than I do on my PC now as it's so easy to use and user friendly.
6. Pre-installed Google maps has been a god send when I have been lost in London!
7. It's really easy to use and pretty durable too.
8. Apple service is really good. I had a fault with mine (the headphones would not slot in to the phone) and the phone had been replaced and back to me in 2 working days.
9. If my phone gets stolen I can trace where it is online.

A couple of bad points.........
1. If your used to a standard mobile phone and only charging it a couple of times a week then you may be shocked by the battery life on an iPhone. I charge mine every day but then I use it a lot! (Smart phones need charging more often than your basic phone anyway)
2. You can't connect via blue tooth to other phones that aren't IPhone. (Designed that way by Apple) I was very disappointed at first, but after having my phone for a year I can't say that I miss it at all.

So if you're sitting there deciding if you want to get the iPhone. Stop deciding and get it! I don't regret getting mine one bit and I will definitely be upgrading to the iPhone 5 once it is released and my contract is up.

10dpm posted on

Apple's most successful product launch in their history and despite my predictions it actually went quite smoothly! Now you'll also have probably heard about the signal issues that are caused by holding the phone in it's bottom left corner. Personally I have seen this and yeah it's kind of annoying. However it will be fixed in the next few weeks with a software update so there isn't really much to worry about there.

A few friends who still own 3G's have said that they don't see a massive improvement with the iPhone 4 and to an extent I agree. Although the new screen is amazingly clear and the camera blows pretty much everything else out of the water it is more of an evolution than a revolution, despite what Apples "This Changes Everything... Again" slogan implies. However the iPhone 3GS, despite being a year old was still the best phone on the market.

The iPhone 4 runs a bit quicker, is a bit smaller and does a bit more. So yes, not life changing, but it makes the experience of owning a mobile phone better than it was before, so in that respect Apple have succeeded. They've made the best phone out there even better.

does the job but with too many flaws

Shaz200411 posted on

I have owned this phone for close to 7 months now and have been disappointed pretty much from the start. The battery life is poor; if any applications are running although not being used, the battery life decreases significantly; as the antenna is on the left side of the side panel- making phone calls impossible without the use of a bumper case.

However, there are some good points: the slimline design is very sleek and attractive. The camera quality is also very high. I mainly use the phone for personal calls and to update facebook as well as to take pictures of my family. It does the job overall. I personally would not recommend the phone to a friend as I feel that for the money the overall performance is poor.

From time to time, it can become sluggish, but a quick reboot seems to solve this, it has only happened on 3 occasions and I use this phone a lot. I use my phone to check face book, check and send emails, I use the Internet feature to find information and the satellite navigation feature has proved very useful. I use apps such as esleep and run keeper every day as well as the ipod and camera. All in all, this is the best phone that I have ever had and I will stay with iPhone now.

Nice, But More Range In Style Needed

The iPhone is very easy to use, looks good and has some really cool apps. Easy to text and make phone calls, a great web browser makes using the Internet simple as well. I check my facebook everyday and put bets on using the paddy power app. Making sure I don't lose items on eBay is easy with a simple app, I don't have to stay at home just to make sure I win. But on the bad side the battery is really poor and only lasts a day. Some not so well developed app crash to often and there's not a lot of styles to choose from. Black or White, and when all your friends have the same phone it makes it a little boring.

It has everything you could possibly need

The iPhone 4 doesn't sit as comfortably in your hand as the iPhone 3 but the features just get better. With a new Retina screen, words and pictures are sharper and clearer. The new face-time feature proves pointless to me, have not used it once but would be handy for anyone who has work trips or is on holiday.

You can now have more apps open at one time, which is great if you need to jot down a number or note. You can also reboot the apps if they freeze. Battery life decreases the more you use it, I can usually go a day and a half before recharging. A case is essential, I have dropped my iPhone quite a few times yet,I have not one scratch. I know people who have dropped theirs and it cracks because they didn't have a case. Overall, Apple lives up to the expectations, I love my iPhone 4!

Incredibly, amazingly powerful phone.

The revolutionary iPhone 4.
To me, one of the best purchases I have made. Apps download incredibly quickly and I find I spend a lot of time just playing with the phone - which leads to its biggest downfall - the battery. With the amount of downloading - which is amazing, texting and phoning - designed faultlessly to be easy and fast, playing - a lot of it - and general use of my iPhone 4 I find the battery wears down too quickly. Just too quickly.

Of course if you use the iPhone solely for phoning and texting, you will never encounter this problem - but then again, why on earth would you buy such a powerful phone if all you were going to do was use its primary functions?

Best parts of the phone are its speed, its seemingly endless capabilities (beautiful camera, music storage, general set-up, apps) and its look and prestige. Bad points are, as stated, it's bad battery life of less than 24 hours of hardcore use.
I bought my phone - my first Apple mobile device - to be used as a means of contacting people through text. What I got was an incredible, phenomenal entertainment platform. I couldn't push this enough. Powerful in capabilities but unfortunately not powerful in terms of... well... power, the iPhone 4 is, without doubt, the best mobile I've ever owned.

After the initial problems regarding the iPhone 4 I was wary about upgrading to it but when my contract ran out I tried it out and am glad I did. Although many of the features are the same i think that this model outshines the old one. The battery life is so much better on the iPhone 4, it doesn't run down after one or two reasonably long phone calls, which means that I only need to charge it two- three times a week. I also like the the design on this one. In my opinion the iPhone 3 was too slim and light where as this one is a bit bulkier and easier to hold. The volume buttons on the side are actual buttons so I'm not always turning my phone up or down when I'm talking to someone. In the few months that I've had the phone I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. Would definitely recommend this handset.

iPhone 4, all that you need in a phone

The iPhone 4 is a great phone to have for today's youth. Although it is considered to "dent" the pocket, I think it is worth it when compared to the other, more popular, yet cheaper mobiles. I particularly enjoy it's GPS feature, as well as the Internet browser. I tend to travel often, so the GPS is a fantastic feature for me when I'm in a new area. The ability to use Skype is also an added bonus for me since I tend to be away from loved ones for long periods of time. The camera and video camera help me keep in touch with family through sending pictures and video calling. I would recommend this phone to anyone that is into style and fashion as well as someone who understands technology.

I love this phone, its practical, easy to use, and has the best apps! The battery life is amazing, definitely couldn't live without this phone. Before I got the phone, all my friends said I should get a Blackberry because that is what everyone else has, but I chose to be original and get the iPhone. My choice paid off, and now all my friends want my iPhone! The only bad thing is the signal sometimes goes, but it isn't as bad as is advertised. All in all, this is definitely the best phone on the market, iPhone's are definitely the way forward.

The iPhone 4 is an incredible phone which has loads of exciting and interesting features such as its HD screen and camera. It is extremely easy to use and there is always something new you can do with it such as downloading music from itunes or apps from the apps store. You will never get bored with the iPhone 4. It has a great design and is not too big and not too small, I would say it is just about perfect. It is definitely worth a go and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. My favourite features are the facebook app and the face calling.

Its a beautiful Phone, the best ever. The design features are amazing and app store is unlimited, 300,000 apps and counting leaves you no end of fun things to do on the phone.

I use my phone to talk, text, record TV through sky +, check emails, play games and quizzes, take pictures, browse the web and listen to the radio. It the thinnest phone I have ever seen, because its used for so much things I wish the battery life could be longer.

It doesn't use Flash video which is slightly disappointing. Its retina display enables you to watch HD videos on the phone, truly revolutionary. 5 stars.

This is my third iPhone, originally having a 3G then the 3GS. The iPhone 4 is far superior than the original models with a lot of amazing new features and the sleeker design is amazing. I have never had any problem with the signal, and have not experienced the 'death grip' that some people talk about. Why settle for second best! The ability to video call (face time) is great and being able to check / write emails on the go and search the web is a godsend in today's modern world. The iPhone comes into its own with the app's, there really is an app for everything! You can usually find a free (lite) version to trail before purchasing and most app's are relatively inexpensive. Don't miss out get an iPhone 4 today!!

I like this mobile phone for it`s applications and for it`s great features The technology used is amazing and all the pictures are so live you can`t imagine. It is for sure the best phone ever though the battery life is not that good. There are a lot of application's that can try to save the battery life but still Apple can do better than this. Hope the next one will be better. I really enjoy my mobile phone, taking pictures, watching films and video, listening to music and playing games.

I wasn't sure whether the high initial cost for this phone would out-weigh other smart phones but I have not been disappointed in the slightest. The operating system runs smoothly and the slick designs sits nicely in your hand. The touchscreen is effortless and the user interface is amazing. The app store is really easy to use and I have many of the free apps which I have found to be more useful than any of the ones that cost money! I will keep this phone for many years as Apple will constantly update the software, unlike other manufacturers! I Highly recommend this phone and the price difference is more than justified!

Having queued for 8 hours to get this phone, it might have been better to order it online but it was an experience.

The Goods:
The phone itself is great with a nice professional design and it fits in your hand really well. The performance of the phone is a huge improvement over the iPhone 3G making it more pleasant to use. The camera, combined with the new Retina display, is amazing for such a phone, it is a lot better than competitor phones with similar 5MP cameras (especially Nokia). The flash makes it more usable and a vast range of apps on the AppStore make the iPhone what it is..brilliant!

The Bads:
Using the phone on a regular basis, browsing the Internet/apps, making calls and sending texts (as I do), the phone does not have great battery life. I get an average of just about a day standby and 5hrs usage.

Conclusion:
A great phone and a great improvement to previous versions. I have never experienced the "antenna issue" - I think it was people being fussy and critical to the phone. The support from the Apple stores is great too..they will help you resolve any issue. It is definitely the best touch screen phone on the market and in my opinion, best phone ever made!

After having used the older IPhone 3G I have found the IPhone 4 the best! The camera is far superior and the use of video is a feature I missed from the old handsets. The graphics are crisp clear, and the use of folders helps you to keep all your apps in once place without scrolling through pages of pages. Is a superb phone, once you have and IPhone you will never go elsewhere! Down points are the signal is not the best. I wish Apple would improve this on the handsets, as phones in similar area and on same network have far better signal than the IPhone 4! Overall though, the phone is quick and would definitely recommend!

I love my phone, it's easy to use, the apps are fantastic and I find that people ask me about it all the time! The only downside is the battery life, I charge it every day and the cable it comes with is very short which can be annoying! I don't find that I have had any problems with the signal strength, though I was eligible for the free case offer from Apple, so this may have helped. I use my phone every day for my job, and find the features such as the email and calendar easy to use. I would recommend this phone highly and I have been more than happy with it.

Easy accessibility to email account for business customers, great speed compared to same geographical area when using other handsets, ability to zoom in and out of documents makes it easy on the eye. In terms of phone use nothing spectacular stands out to previous model 3GS. It also offers great addictive game play, with the amount off applications from the apple store growing day by day not necessary at a further cost. One small downside is the battery life with this product, but partly expect-able with the amount of services this phone has to offer, and would recommend purchasing an in-car charger or portable charger for this reason.

Nice handset, although could be improved

Wightty posted on

The handset is very nice, the screen is really clear. When making or receiving calls, its common to accidentally 'mute' the handset, as Apple have in their wisdom deemed that if you move the handset away from your face, it will bring up the mute option as well as a keypad and other options. The mute button appears to be the one that gets pressed the most. This is very annoying. Battery life is still not as good as other handsets with the average life before needing charging of about 28 hours. Charging is easy though with the lead supplied either via the three pin plug, or through usb on your PC or laptop etc.

It has got a fast processor and supports video calling

I've just got the latest Apple iPhone 4. It is absolutely amazing. Miles better than my old iPhone 3G.

It has got a fast processor and supports video calling. However, with the latest IOS4, it takes a while to get used to it. Although multitasking seems to be a selling point but I am not totally happy the way Apple have done to it.

Apple has managed to remove the double tap customisation, it has been replaced by the task recall function. Folders on IOS 4 seems to respond a little bit too slow for me. I prefer very fast animation.

But overall, it is definitely the best smartphone on the market.

This latest offering from Apple is to date the most advanced phone on the market. With its 3g capabilities; something none of the other iPhones have had, and cool new features it ticks all the boxes. All Except one; the design. The blocky shapes and dark colour scheme make it look like a 70's throw back rather then a modern classic. Overall its a great phone, one definitely worth getting.

pick it up and instantly lose signal.

DanM posted on

Having waited in line for over an hour for my phone at the weekend, I take it home, pick it up and instantly lose signal.

According to the manufacturer this is not the fault of the device, but the way i'm holding it!!!! Their solution to my problem is to spend more money on a case.

This is my first iphone, and it will be my last, i'm taking it back tomorrow and demanding a refund.

I expected more than this, and words cannot describe how insulted I feel as a customer.

My advice - DON'T GET ONE!

iPhone 4 details

What our expert says

Apple iPhone 4G has some slight modifications since the 3G including a brand new chat video camera that is now in the front facing position. The phone also now has improved flash and a Mirco-Sim as compared to a regular SIM card in previous versions of the phone. The display is even more clearer and renders in a 960 x 640 pixel display. There are split buttons for volume including a power, mute and volume button that are all made of metallic. The battery life of the iPhone 4G has improved 16% from its predecessor and also weighs in at 3 grams more as well. The back of the phone is completely flat and there is now an aluminum border that flows all the way around the phone. The phone is a pleasant surprise for 2010.
