The mobile phone market is getting more fierce by the day with many manufacturers targeting the iPhone as the primary benchmark. Manufacturers like HTC, Samsung and Sony Ericsson to name a few, tend to produce new handsets on a more regular basis than Apple so their hardware often surpasses the iPhone family of phones or in fact is already ahead.

Sky Launch Sky Go App for Android

Today Sky has launched Sky Go for Android handsets, with the app initially available for a select range of HTC and Samsung devices. After months of waiting, the app, which streams live Sky TV transmissions to your mobile device, is available to download from the Android Market. Google Updates Google Plus for iPhone

Google has released an update to the iOS version of their Google+ app, giving iPhone users the option to instantly upload photos from their device to the social network. The feature has been part of the Android app since launch, but until now has been missing from the iOS version. Spotify for iOS Now Streaming Music at 320Kbps

Spotify has delivered an update to their music streaming app for iOS devices, now offering Spotify users the chance to stream music tracks at 320Kbps. The new 'Extreme quality' mode is available to Spotify Premium users, giving users of the Apple iPhone and iPad the option to hear music at the same quality available through the Spotify desktop client. World?s First Bamboo Smartphone to be Launched in UK

A British design student has built the world's first smartphone to be made from Bamboo. The ADZero is set to be launched in the UK during 2012. The handset was created by Kieron Woodhouse, a student at Middlesex University, and developed during his own spare time. T-Mobile to Announce Unlimited Data Plan

T-Mobile are set to unveil a new tariff from the beginning of February, offering consumers a truly unlimited data package, set to rival the One Plan package on offer from Three. The contract package, dubbed 'The Full Monty', is set to come in at £36 per month, and as well as offering unlimited data, the tariff will also offer unlimited text messages, unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls and 2,000 cross network and landline minutes.
