Virgin Media has announced the launch of its Spotify service, following on from the partnership agreement announced back in July this year. Virgin Media customers will gain access to millions of music tracks via the web, TV and mobile using Spotify. Customers will also gain access to a range of exclusive content through a new VM Music tab in the Spotify client. The deal, which is open to new and renewing customers, gives free Premium Spotify access, which is a saving of almost £30. Virgin has announced that customers of the Virgin Mobile network can now gain access to the Orange network, when in areas of poor coverage. The deal comes as part of the combining of T-Mobile and Orange into Everything Everywhere. Virgin Mobile operates as a virtual network, using T-Mobile coverage. Initially the Orange network is available for calls, text messages and 3G data, using GPRS, with 3G connectivity set to come online sometime next year.
