After much rumour, Samsung has officially confirmed the forthcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, a mid range dual core Android smartphone. Samsung has announced the launch of the 'Best of Britain' app, in partnership with VisitBritain, the national tourism agency. History of Samsung phones

Samsung initially built their strong foundations in their home Asian market having established themselves as the world leading supplier of home electricals worldwide. From there Samsung have gone on to become the leading supplier to the US for mobile phones and the second largest worldwide manufacturer of mobile phones, sitting second only to Nokia.

Samsung first big success was the Samsung D500 especially in the UK market where the phone was seen as being a cute compact must have for female users. It had everything going for it - low price, small and easy to use going on to sell in its millions on contract, pay as you go and sim free.

Continuing on Samsung start to release handset after handset due to their huge strength with some successes and some failures. Their phones coming in the C series for low cost shoppers, the E and D series and the smartphone I series.

Samsung have produced devices that run on a wide range of platforms such as Windows, Symbian S60 and Android.

They continue to produce a broad range of strong handsets such as touch screen mobile phones, devices that are proving extremely popular with consumers such
