Vodafone 360 H1 Reviews

The Vodafone 360 H1 is the flagship handset for the new Vodafone 360 internet service. The 360 product is all about integration, and the H1 takes full advantage of its open source platform, allowing the device to integrate fully with a whole host of web based services. Running on the new LiMo OS, the H1 offers high speed data connectivity over HSDPA Mobile Broadband, as well as including WiFi for connecting up to your home WLAN. A capable media device, the H1 has a 5.0 Megapixel camera, media player and stereo FM radio. The display is an AMOLED touchscreen, measuring in at 3.5 inches, which presents the new 3D interface in glorious clarity. With internal memory capacity set at 16GB with a memory expansion slot included, the H1 offers everything needed in a modern mobile media product.
Touchscreen is sometimes unresponsive
This is probably the worst Samsung phone I have ever had, my 360 crashes all the time. Touchscreen is sometimes unresponsive, you cant set your own tone for incoming calls, texts etc. Takes forever to load up apps I have downloaded and my alarm in the morning does not come on if the phone is on silent.
The touch screen is difficult to work at times
On paper this is a great phone, it can do just about everything from checking your emails to checking the weather report, that is when it works.
My partner and I both have this phone and both have had to be fixed since we got them four months ago and there are still features that are not working on both phones.
My handset refuses to send or receive email and I have requested a software update several times, all of which have failed. My partner is unable to access the shop which means he cant get any of the applications that he lost when his phone was wiped back. My phone randomly opens up applications and sometimes wont log in to Vodafone 360.
Both phones randomly decide not to allow connection to the internet at times, however switching off the handset and restarting it again seems to solve this for a while. I have called Vodafone several times regarding these issues and have been sent software updates on several occasions, which have all either failed or just not done anything.
The sad thing is that if this phone actually worked as well as it should it would be a great device. The touch screen is difficult to work at times and even just trying to make a call takes oppening an application first.
The good thing is that if you are registered on the Vodafone 360 website, the information on your phone is automatically backed up so that if you loose your phone or something happens to it then you still have all your contacts and pictures stored on the website.
touch screen is often very unresponsive and very hard to use
This phone is a great looking phone, and looks brilliant with a large touch screen!
However, this touch screen is often very unresponsive and very hard to use. The applications are good and you can download a lot of what you want, eg facebook, myspace, flickr etc and many games.
You will need an unlimited internet data plan or it will be very expensive! Camera is decent, but not brilliant at all for an expensive phone in 2010!
I have also had problems with the phone crashing, and the battery life isn't very good at all, power saving features are not available! Overall, a decent phone, but I don't think it is worth the price at all.
constantly crashing and saying application error
This phone is ok. At first it was working great but now its constantly crashing and saying application error. Everytime I write a new message it comes off the app and I lose everything I have written.
I dont like how you cant set a wall paper and emailing on there is terrible. I have a lot of contact groups that I keep deleting but they wont disappear.
However, the sound is good, the camera is great and the memory is very large although when I have a lot of stuff on the phone like pics and songs it crashes all the time and is very slow.
To be honest if I had a trial before getting this phone on contract then I wouldnt have got it. I dont realy recommend it to people that dont have patience and dont mind it constantly crashing. But then maybe other people have had the phone and had no problems with it.
The sound and picture quality are superb
This is a bargain, especially when free with a contract from vodafone. The touch screen only takes a couple of minutes to get used to. The sound and picture quality are superb - for music and videos. It is easy to set up and the speed at which it switches applications is phenomenal. Overall a great phone.
can't find a way to introduce a different ringtone
As yet, I can't find a way to introduce a different ringtone or incoming text tone, which is very frustrating. Also having set up AOL, I am not getting any emails to my phone and cannot chat using AOL or my Mac iChat. All I am seeing are my friend's Facebook statuses. I am still trying to find out how to get RSS feeds - apparently news is not supported. I can't set up a wallpaper either.
I can make phone calls and text people though. No proper instructions on how to use the phone were included.
a good phone especially if you are a social network guru
This is a new phone from Vodafone to help launch their new 360 service, overall I found it very easy to use but there are issues with using email unless you are happy to use the 360 email provided. Will not beat the iPhone but is a good phone especially if you are a social network guru and like to keep in touch with people.
