the built in MP3 player is its most impressive feature

As the phone is a Sony Ericsson, the built in MP3 player is its most impressive feature. However, this feature comprimises other features, the camera is a poor 2.0 megapixels with no flash and the phone regularly freezes. Overall, when not freezing the other phone features make the phone a good phone.

it doesn't have a light or a flash for the camera

Overall I think this is a great phone, it's light weight and easy to use. I upgraded to the W910i from the W810i so the only thing that disappointed me is that it doesn't have a light or a flash for the camera like the W810i does. This really bothered me as I do use my camera a lot but I did like the phone that much that I decided to keep it. But that is the only 'flaw' I can think of, everything else is great.

though it only has a 2.0 megapixel camera the pictures are very clear

I like this phone mostly because it's easy to use and it looks nice. Even though it only has a 2.0 megapixel camera the pictures are very clear. It has an expandable memory upto 2gb. This phone is very slim and light so minimum bulk in your pocket. It does start to slow down when using the internet, other than that a great mobile.

needing a charge every few days or sometimes everyday with minimal use

Overall a nice looking phone with some good functionality. Could have done with a better camera, even pictures at full resolution are so so. Its major downfall is the battery life, after a few months of use it degrades, needing a charge every few days or sometimes everyday with minimal use. Even a battery replacement doesn't cure this so its a phone issue.

constantly switching itself off and the screen just turns blank

I currently have this phone and its very easy to use however, it is constantly switching itself off and the screen just turns blank, somedays it can do this up to 10 times, its annoying when you are on the phone to somebody and it cuts off, also it sometimes doesnt ring when somebody phones you but then seconds later you get a txt saying you have a missed call.

Very disappointed with this model, Sony Ericsson's have always been good with me in the past, I have talked to several people that have experience this phone and have had similar problems.

bluetooth connectivity and the speed at which it sends files is very good

This phone has good bluetooth connectivity and the speed at which it sends files is very good. It is slim and small and has a unique slide ability which isnt hard to slide up and down. The camera is very good and has many different picture features to help spice up and have fun with your pictures.

super slim and light, screen size OK for viewing photos

Just had this phone for a few months, excellent design, super slim and light, screen size OK for viewing photos, Camera quality not outstanding but acceptable, excellent Walkman music quality.

One thing I don't like is the keypad, with the flat design it's quite hard to press, for those who send a lot of SMS, this might not be the best choice.

I had so many problems with it, wouldnt recommend

I had to keep sending the phone back to Sony because I had so many problems with it, wouldnt recommend, it was non stop problems for me.

Everyone that I know who has this phone has also had to send it back for repairs, with being on a contract with Orange they were kind enough to send out a 'refurbished' handset the next day, even on sundays and bank holidays. However I did have to swap it 7 times until I was eligible for a new handset.

A super cool mobile phone from Sony Ericsson

A completely awesome mobile phone, everything about it is super cool, the camera isnt great but hey it's not a camera phone. It is designed as a music phone and it does the job well. It's so easy to use & I'd recommend buying this phone.

Overall a fantastic mobile phone and glad I got it

This is a very smart looking phone, hence my rating of excellent. The only let down on the features is not having the torch as it is quite handy to have.

The shake funtion is clever although quite pointless, it is just as easy to change song without it. My handset has a habbit of going blank for a few minutes which can be quite annoying, but overall a fantastic mobile phone and glad I got it.

Holds loads of music and photos but battery could be improved

This phone is a really good phone, it was a bit different to use to the Sony I had before, but I prefer it

It holds loads of music and photos which is good because I like taking photos and keeping them with me. The only trouble I have had with this phone is that when it loses all signal the screen goes blank and I've had to take the battery out to be able to use it again and the battery life isnt as long as I would of expected it.

Overall though, its really nicely designed and an easy to use mobile phone.

Cool mobile phone, does everything you need

Overall I'm really happy with this mobile phone, its very easy to use however the software is a little slow and I did have to send my first one back as it kept crashing but I do like the features of the phone.

The media player is really good and the headphones supplied provide good sound, the camera is good and easily syncs via bluetooth to my laptop for facebook etc.

A cool phone does everything you need.

Great music features, acceptable camera, nice design

Very user friendly as you expect from Sony Ericsson, great features like the Walkman side of the handset, easy to load music from pc to phone as comes with a removable card which plugs into the memory stick for your pc.

Great pictures, only a 2.0 megapixel camera but great for what it does along with video clips. Overall very happy with the handset and the design is a bonus, great to see them doing them in red as more fun than the standard black.

Music player options are extensive

I love my W910i from Sony Ericsson, everything is very simple and easy to use, the phone also comes with a memory card plus stick.

The music player options are extensive, you can identify music with trackID, it also has sensME which plays music according to your mood, it can store over 1000 songs and also has shake control which is great when you just can't be bothered pressing buttons, overall a very good phone particularly for music lovers.

Can sometimes accidentality catch the off button

Good quality phone, all the features are good and do as they claim. I would buy again, although not too happy with battery charging, have yet to achieve 100% for a charge but think that may be the connection.

I intend to charge up on my PC with computer lead to see if the charge gets to 100% and perhaps last longer. Only other downside I have found is that sometimes when sliding down to close or end call it can sometimes accidentality catch the off button.

Features this phone has to offer are extensive to say the least

The features this phone has to offer are extensive to say the least. However, recently I have been experiencing problems with it regarding freezing on certain screens. If you are after a stylish modern phone then I definitely recommend the Sony Ericsson W910i

MP3 playback capabilities are on par with the iPod

This is a fantastic phone and it's MP3 playback capabilities are on par with the iPod, the sound quality is fantastic. I have not experienced the software problems that I have heard others experienced but this seems to be a fault of pre 2008 models. The only minus is that the screen can get scratched easily so I would recommend buying a protective case for it.

Good phone, nice features but can scratch very easily

This phone is great, it's very simple to use which is what I've come to expect of Sony Ericsson.

Only two small issues, the screen scratches very easily which wasn't an issue with my previous Sony Ericsson K750i, used in exactly the same way but the W910i has tiny marks on the screen which detracts from it's overall look. Battery life is ok although could be better.

I use it as a modem for my laptop, very pleased

I am pleased with this phone, I use it as a modem for my laptop so I can connect to the Internet and it's quite fast considering. It looks good and it's light so good for me when I go out and only want to put it in my pocket rather than a bag. I'm also unlikely to call anyone accidentally due to the cover slip.

Love this phone - Sony do the best phones

Love this phone...

Prefer Sony phones to any other... easier to use than Nokia or any other mobile that I have had.

It is easy to work. There are myself and my two teenagers in the family and we all have a sony mobiles. I usually end up with the hand me downs when they upgrade but that isnt a problem.

Sony has to be without a doubt the best of all the mobile phones any of us have had. Well done Sony - keep them coming

Very attractive

The design of the phone is very attractive, the features are good especially the music player which makes it easy to find the track you want, with year, title, artist, album, genre and sense me. The phone can play music very loud and the sound quality is clear, BUT there are many phones that have gone wrong i have previously took mine back and have to get a new one, also lots of people i know have exactly the same problem where the phone overheats then crashes and you cant turn it back on until the phone is ready. The camera is only 2 mega pixels but when compared with the picture quality of the 5 mega pixel samsung G600 it is hard to tell the difference.
