large screen and its lightweight and easy to carry around
The thing I like about this mobile phone is the fact it has a large screen and its lightweight and easy to carry around. It has great picture and sound quality as well. The downside to phone is that it has been known to crash a couple of times or the charger sometimes plays up and you cannot get the charger to work.
its a pleasure to use and looks lovely
This phone is great. It's sleek in design and fits nicely in a pocket or bag. It is available in either silver or mocha. It has a radio which some phones lack. The camera is a 3.2MP which although not as high spec as some phones out at the moment its a really good quality picture taken with the W890i. I would choose this phone again without a doubt as its a pleasure to use and looks lovely.
If the camera is important, look for another phone
I have previously said that I like this phone a lot, but having had it now for a few months there are a few irritating problems with it. Firstly, the keys, even though they are improved from the W880i, if you have larger fingers you press more than one key at once.
Secondly, the camera, it is a 3M pixel which sounds excellent but it is poor at capturing movement and forms fuzzy photo's when your hand shakes. It also doesn't have a flash and captures dark photo's in artificial light. If the camera is important, look for another phone.
Keep pressing the web button by mistake
Great phone with lots of features, the web button is in a rubbish place though as keep pressing it by mistake. Nice size phone very slim but do keep getting marks on the screen. Shame it only comes with demo games could do with at least a couple of full games.
very easy to transfer songs from my computer to the phone
I bought this phone for its Walkman which is great, the mobile phone itself is really easy to use, it's also very easy to transfer songs from my computer to the phone. The camera is also quite good and the phone has a great memory. The only issue I have with the phone is the battery life isn't as good as I would like it to be.
phone is very slim and the standby time is excellent
This phone is great for Walkman lovers, it doubles up as a good mp3 player in my opinion. The only bad feature is probably the camera, but then again this is a Walkman phone. If you are looking for a decent camera then opt for the Sony Cybershot phones.
The usability is good, easy, not to complex. The phone is very slim and the standby time is excellent. The battery life as a MP3 player is much better than I thought.
frequently switches itself off even if the battery is full
Handset frequently switches itself off. Even if battery is full. I purchased the limited edition brown colour which has scraped off after having the handset for 3 months. The screen will often freeze and the phone struggles to keep up when writing a text message.
I have purchased a screen saver and a game which I have been assured are compatible with the handset but which I have been unable to use. I will never purchase another Sony Ericsson handset again. My previous 3 handsets were manufactured by Samsung and were off a much higher quality and style.
great things comes in small packages
This phone is very user friendly, the 3.2 megapixel camera is quite remarkable and takes good pictures. The MP3 player and radio is superb. Easy media transfers from computer to phone and vice versa. Excellent design and size, stays true to the saying great things comes in small packages.
Music sound and video/picture quality are excellent
Easy to understand and its features are easy to use but the buttons are small, the letters/numbers not easily readable and the screen becomes easily scratched/marked. Music sound and video/picture quality are excellent. The phone charges up quickly and retains its charge well.
looking for a slim phone, then this has to be the best around at the moment
If you are looking for a slim phone then this has to be the best around at the moment. It is so thin and will sit happily in your pocket without you even realising it is there. It also has a relatively large screen so you can clearly see what you are looking at. The camera is a good 3M pixel but does not cope very well with movement and has no flash making night photography pointless. All said, a good phone and I am very pleased with it.
camera is easy to use and has really good effects when used with photo DJ
This phone is excellent really easy to use. The games could be better, however it does have some good games including sims and tennis. The camera is really easy to use and has really good effects when used with photo DJ you can add accessories to the photo such as wings and hats really fun.
excellent slimline mobile phone with a host of great features
An excellent slimline mobile phone with a host of great features, including a 3.2 megapixel camera, quad band, Walkman, and radio. The only slight fault seems to be the battery life which although quoted at around 12 days actually lasts about 1 week. A great phone nevertheless.
6 months and this phone has never let me down
This phone is so good because I have had it for 6 months and this phone has never let me down, its even been dropped on the floor, trusty phone would recommended it.
The best thing is the radio and the camera a 3.2 megapixel camera and a radio if your bored of listening to your playlist.
I love the look of it however the battery life is terrible
I have had my phone a couple of months now, I love the look of it however the battery life is terrible, I am on my second battery but it is no better, I have to charge it every 2 days and I am hardly using it at all which is a bit annoying, apart from that I love it.
Very good model especially for music, battery could be better
Great phone, modern and upto date, nice camera as well and clear sound, very good model especially for music. Has a radio and the keys small but very easy to use and type quick texts.
The only bad thing about it is the battery life which didn't quite fit what was written on the manufacturer's description, I charged it for 24 hours afer buying it but still, my battery goes down on the end of the 2nd day, even if I don't listen to music on it or use that much. Apart from that, great phone!
Great little phone with a built in Sony Walkman
I really like this phone, small but perfectly designed. The features are really easy to use. The only problem I am finding is that the battery power is not as good as previous models. I find I am having to charge it fully every night. Other than that a great little phone with a built in Sony Walkman
Paintwork on the black version is very bad quality and wears off
For the most part this a good phone, it is a good size, strong features, neat design, good sound quality but there are a couple of problems.
The paintwork on the black version is very bad quality and wears off within a few weeks of purchase showing a gold colour, within three weeks of use my phone looked like it was two years old... so much so that I returned it suggesting that there was a fault.
Sony Ericsson said that trained engineers investigated and concluded there were no manufacturers problems... which is a cause of concern as it demonstrates poor manufacturing quality, so to avoid this problem, don't buy the black version!
One other irritating issue is the Walkman navigation, its not good if you have alot of songs (I have just over 1,000) - it is slow and irratic.
