do almost everything you would need to with a mobile phone
This phone is by far the best phone I have owned,
the features on it allow you to do almost everything you would need to with a mobile phone. The MP3 player is great quality as well as the camera. After my upgrade I passed this phone to a family member and it has been working for over 3 years now with no problems at all.
battery life is excellent even when using the music function
Great Practical Phone with a 2.0 Megapixel camera, Internet functions, Walkman phone, all the basic features of calling and texting. The phone offers java based applications to run various software.
The battery life is excellent even when using the music function. The phone can also be plugged into external devices to play music through normal speakers using the phono lead that comes with the phone. The memory also allows expansion great for storing those vital bits of music, pictures or just random stuff.
only complaint is the high cost of the larger memory cards
Loved this phone, got alot of jealous glares when I first took it to work, great looking phone. Great camera too, amazingly bright flash. An easy to use MP3 player but my only complaint is the high cost of the larger memory cards.
Probably a bit dated now, but well worth picking up on the cheap
This was my mobile phone as presented by work, I wasn't sure about the look of it at first but it's definitely grown on me though and the menu system makes it really easy to use and access all of the features.
It's probably a bit dated now, but well worth picking up on the cheap as a pay as you go or as part of a free phone cheap contract deal.
The new model from Sony Ericsson isnt a patch on this handset
I've had this phone since it first came out around 3 years ago and it's only just give up the ghost this week. I've been happy with every feature, from the handy light, radio, video capabilities, to the animated people you can add into your text messages.
The camera is very easy to use and it's worth getting for the memory card alone. The newer version I have now is not a patch on this, if you're looking to upgrade but need to buy second hand, I'd definitely recommend.
If the phone worked for longer than a year then I would highly recommend
I really enjoyed using my W800i from Sony Ericsson but discovered after a while that it does tend to crash, the camera has now broke completely and all this happened just outside the guarantee.
The features of the phone are great, especially the specialised Walkman area and at first the camera and it's cover were too. If the phone worked for longer than a year then I would highly recommend buying it but unfortunately Walkman phones seem to go out of date, as soon as you have bought one the latest model is out.
I would say that the weaknesses of this mobile phone are, the camera breaking, phone crashing, speakers being very tinny.
The great strengths would be, the originality of the music player, clear designated buttons and the memory card being a very usuable size with adaptor that will make it work in most PC's
All round good phone but the joystick navigation should be improved
All round a pretty good phone let down by the little joysticks reliability. The camera I always found excellent, and the flash doubled as a torch, something missing of the newer versions, why is that!
It has a 2.0 megapixel camera and is easy to use. As a phone it performs well with all the usual expected features. The Walkman software is very good, allowing indexing of tracks by artist and album. You can set up individual playlists, so handy for different music styles or uses, ie gym, relaxing etc. Also it has a radio aswell, so if your own music collection is insufficient you can always tune into an FM station!
It supports java games so there are no shortage of games available to play. Onboard there is a calendar to manage your time, contact lists enabling storage of all details, alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer and calculator - all handy stuff for when you are on the move. All in all a pretty good phone, if buying check the joystick operates well in all directions.,
One of the best Sony Ericssons I have had
This is a great standard phone, it does have some features which are slightly more advanced but they are very easy to use, charge time also lasts a sufficient time. One of the best Sony Ericssons I have had would highly recommend.
The camera quality is great although mine did break after a few months whether it was my fault or the phone I am not sure, there is also a great little video camera on the phone and the ease of uploading files from your phone to you computer is very easy.
Easy to use and the camera quality is good
I found the Ericsson W800i very good as it is simple and easy to use, however the photo editor was a bit difficult to work.
It comes with a built in MP3 player and I can get lots of memory on it, you can also buy additional memory cards which I found a very useful accessory.
Overall it's easy to use and the camera quality is good.
Combines walkman with great phone - useful flashlight as well
It's a great phone that combines walkman, digital camera and phone.
I find particularly the flash light good and convenient.
The only negative thing I have to say about it is the joystick. It works fine BUT the little orange thingy that is on top of it comes off really easily and is annoying. It would be great to make that joystick solid! Although it's still great to play games.
