The Samsung S6700 is a familiar looking handset, part of a long line of slide style devices from the Korean manufacturer. Designed in a smart looking silver colour, the S6700 has a comfortable keypad, ideal for the user whose main interest would betexting rather than calling. With a large, bright QVGA display, images captured on the 3.2 Megapixel camera present well, looking clear and sharp. Video playback is comfortable for viewing short clips, and the media player is able to handle multiple digital video and music formats. GPS withaGPS is included, and we also find messaging well catered for, with support for numerous email accounts as well as a document viewer for reading attachments directly on the handset.

For a person who would never ordinarily find themselves using a mobile phone, at least to make calls that is, I was surprised at the level of functionality I got from this model of phone, and never leave the house without it anymore.
Before, I got so cheesed off with the previous phones I've bought, which seemed more like a means to play those tiny little games on then to actually, surprise surprise, make a telephone call from. This model is very, very good at that, and more so.
It's interface and "database", as it were, provides a handy way to keep all my numbers, contacts, appointments, etc all on one handy device and I can flick through to them at a moment notice. Great stuff. The calls I make are easy, with no line interference whatsoever, and the adjustable volume means I can hear it ring at a comfortable, reasonable level, as opposed to the whisper of a mouse or the jumbo jet that all other phones seem to have, as if there's no volume in between.
I may not be a whiz when it comes to phones, but I know a good one when I see it, and it's right here.
