The Samsung S5620 Monte is a stylish handset, with a comfortable, ergonomic design. Sporting a large, 3.0 inch capacitive touchscreen, the Samsung Monte runs on the proprietary Samsung TouchWiz UI, which has brightly coloured icons aligned with a simple menu layout. Endowed with a 3.2 Megapixel camera, with geotagging support plus face and smile detection, the Monte also delivers a strong messaging suite, with inclusive support for push email, instant messaging and live social networking updates. UsabilityThe GPS is practically unusable
Nice looking phone with good touchscreen and abundant features. Plenty of pre-programmed shortcuts for internet - Google, Google Maps, Facebook, MySpace etc - but internet connection is rubbish. Only connects about half the time when outdoors and almost never when inside.
The GPS is practically unusable as it takes so long to connect and then lags well behind where you are actually located. This may not be the fault of the phone but Orange will not accept that it is a connectivity or coverage issue.

This phone is very stylish and easy to use. Wi-fi access allows you to connect to the internet without being charged by your mobile phone provider. Touch screen can be a little sensitive but this can be overcome by using the phone settings. Slight down side is the camera as there is no flash on it, but overall this phone is worth a go.

Brilliant Phone, If you have a hectic social Life Like mine and want to keep in touch with everybody its great! The clear touch screen provides a good, easy-to-navigate OS. Only snag is that the music player can be a little quiet so I rarely use it, other wise its a great phone!

The Samsung Monte is marketed as a low end social networking phone aimed at teenagers and those with an active social life, yet actually it's an ideal phone for anybody.
It feels solid yet light due to it's firm plastic construction, but is easy to use and has three screens/widgets of applications. Its big selling point to many will be the Wi-Fi and built in GPS, very useful if you don't mind using Google Maps and there are aftermarket packages that will make better use if the GPS.
Simple to use and an ideal mobile handset for those who don't want a £500 mobile in their pocket but still want instant access to Facebook and Myspace.
