Samsung L770 Reviews

The Samsung L770 is a sleek slider phone which has a mirror effect LCD screen. The screen is 2.1 inches in size and provides you with a clear 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. The L770 has a 2 megapixel camera, video recorder, 3G, web browser, music player and Bluetooth. 40MB of internal memory plus a microSD card slot for further storage is also included.
A fiddly phone to use
A fiddly phone to use, but stylish to look at. I'm yet to meet anyone who found it easy to take my photo when I asked them to, the centre button and other buttons tend to activate when not wanted meaning you can get menus pop up in the middle of something else you were doing.
The screen is also not as bright outdoors as it could be, and you may have to position your ear carefully to hear an incoming caller. Sometimes the slider does not activate the screen and there's a delay in seeing anything on the LCD display.
You may have to change settings or you'll find the phone may accidentally activate your web/WAP browser if you inadvertently touch one of those buttons. Yes, it can be adjusted to reduce the chances of that but it's still far too fiddly for large masculine fingers!
Also disappointing is you can't have an MP3 as a text message alert, and using the micro SD card for storage is not an intuitive matter. The software with the phone helps but it's not as easy as it could be. That said, the PC software is better than other manufacturers' that I've used and always recognises the phone is connected - some phones don't easily talk to the PC.
A good phone if you can get it on the discounted side, but have your most precise thumbs at the ready!
a very solid phone but nothing special
This phone is not too bad as a basic phone although I wouldn't say much for the camera - the quality is not that great. I have it in black and silver and I quite like that it is not that popular a handset so not everyone has it.
I did have a few problems though with the software not really sure why but I got them fixed and now its been working fine, hopefully it will last me a good few years as don't want to have to upgrade handsets every year.
I am not that careful with it but it seems to still work fine so overall a very solid phone but nothing special, all I want from it is calls and texts so it fits the bill.
All in all it basically does what I want it to
This phone had a rocky start, twice in the first month I had it sent off to Carphone Warehouse repair centre, first time, no idea why, second time, needed a software update!! who sells a phone and the software needs updating in a month! I am on to my third battery in this phone due to its useless charging ability from the beginning.
But I've had it now 8 months and have learnt to deal with the flaws. Will probably buy Samsung again, they have been a lot more reliable than this one in the past, but having said that, it has seen a few knocks and bumps in its time and survived them.
All in all it basically does what I want it to, but probably wouldn't go back and buy the same one again.

Mobile phones are constantly being updated in a constantly evolving industry with huge demands. Where camera phones go up by the megapixel on a monthly basis and the next big feature just around the corner, it certainly can be confusing finding the right mobile phone.
Most handsets now could be classed as 'smart phones' based on where mobile phones were a few years ago with the current crop of buzz words - 3G, HSPDA, megapixel, social networking, apps, A-GPS and more. Thats why reading impartial user reviews is the best way of deciding what phone to buy next!
