This is our first and last Samsung phone
We got this phone for a second contract for my partner, well what can we say.
After a couple of months the main screen page started flickering then after a couple of days the screen just went dead, so we had to send it back. We got it back and now the battery life is really bad only lasts a day or so and seems to get warm easily.
This is our first and last Samsung phone.
takes too long to take photos
A great phone from Samsung but has a few draw backs which include the size and takes too long to take photos. On the plus side has fast internet access, great video support and 5.0 megapixel camera with optical zoom. Make this a slimmer phone and take photos a lot quicker and Samsung are on to a winner.
Considerably satisfied with my G800 and have recommended it to friends
Excellent all rounder if you like your mobile phone to be multi-functional. Great 5.0 megapixel camera for bright conditions, altough the flash is quite good for darker conditions, it is not the best.
Good sound from the earphones and loud speaker too, although earphones are chunky and can be a little bit on the large side for the small eared. It is quite a chunky phone, so if you like them slim and streamline then this is not the phone for you.
The major down-side of this phone is the battery life, requires re-charging every few days if you use it alot, particularly MP3 player, bluetooth and camera/video functions, and once it goes down to 2 bars (there are 3) on the battery icon, it is likely to conk out relatively soon after and there are not many warning 'pips' to alert you to this but if you are not far from home or your charger then this should not be a problem.
All in all, I am considerably satisfied with my G800 and have recommended it to friends and family and I do recommend it to you.
Bit chunky and the camera anti shake feature could be more user friendly
Great phone, works well. Only grumbles with it are:
1. It's a bit chunky compared with other 5.0 megapixel cameras that have just come on the market
2. The cameras great, but tricky to get an in focus shot unless you put on the anti shake feature and this function can't be saved, so you have to go through the whole menu every time you turn the camera on.
Good phone but wish I had waited for the Samsung Soul
Good phone but wish I had waited for the Samsung Soul, although the zoom on this is better than the Soul because of the optical zoom. This is a bulky phone particularly compared with the G600 and Soul but I actually prefer this, when a phone is too light I lose it easily!
Great slide function and a 5.0 megapixel camera
I've had this phone for a few months, at first I didn't really like it because it is quite a brick compared to other phones available on the market, but over time I like this phone more and more.
It has a great slide function and a 5.0 megapixel camera. The screen quality could be better but its other features including a converter that does currency and weight are really helpful in my line of work.
Really pleased with it. Can't go wrong with Samsung
Handset quite bulky and heavy, a big screen which is good, radio has a good signal too. Camera is brilliant with 5.0 mega pixels. I,m always taking pictures in clubs which come out really well even in the dark, it also its got loads of memory.
Really pleased with it. Cant go wrong with Samsung, all Samsung phones I have had have been brilliant.
The G800 is decent and manageable
The frame of the Samsung G800 is large and quite bulky.
The blurriness of the camera was also disappointing but apart from that this is quite a good phone.
The usability is, as you would expect from a Samsung, straight forward and very manageable. The screen is a good size as is the key pad. Sound quality is also good.
The Samsung G800 is a pretty decent mobile phone.
