I have no plans to replace it for another model
I have had my Samsung E530 for two years, I like the design, but it probably appeals less to the male gender. It feels strong and even though it has many an accident in two years, its still in one piece as good as new. I have no plans to replace it for another model.
At first I was quite happy with my E530
At first I was quite happy with my E530 but then I started to notice that not all the buttons light up and this made it hard to text unless in a very well lit room. However the most disappointing thing about the phone is that despite the sturdy casing the screen went when I dropped the phone from a height of roughly 5 inches.
An older handset but sterdy and reliable
This was a very sterdy phone, I have had it for nearly three years now and it still works perfectly, even after a few bumps. The design is very original so makes it stand out from other phones. Internet connection is very slow, but understandable with the age of the phone, generally reliable.
So easy to use with great features
The E530 from Samsung is fantastic, its so easy to use with great features. Its more of a womans phone than a man's so it suits me just fine, it has a decent enough camera and texting is simple to use, infact I love this phone so much that I went back to it after having an LG Chocolate.
Satisfactory but has its downsides to go with the good points
This phone was bought as a second phone to use for personal contacts, and although overall it is satisfactory, there are some down sides to it.
First the good points:
Nice heavy feel, doesnt feel cheap and plastic.
I like the little screen on the front of the closed shell - good to see who is calling before opening to answer.
Unlocked on all UK networks (handy for all those free sims you can get with credit on!)
Decent features such as vibrate, camera.
Downsides:
Some of the buttons are poorly placed, for example the "OK" button starts the wap browser, which is very confusing and the number/letter keys are pretty flat on the phone, making it difficult to type quickly.
