Samsung D900i Overview

Samsung's D900i is one of the slimmest mobile phones on the market. That does not mean it is lacking in features as the D900i has some of the best in the business. It does lack 3G however but with a 3 megapixel camera it will keep the vast majority of users more than happy with high resolution video recording (352x288 resolution). With 80 megabytes of standard memory the phone can be topped up with more memory via the micro SD card slot. The D900i has an added FM radio player which the standard D900 does not have. Other key features include TV Out, Bluetooth, USB, Document Viewer (Email - PDF - Word - Powerpoint - Excel ) and MP3 - WMA player. The video recorder and camera are complimented well by a clear large colour display.

love that you can set your alarm to be a song

I've had this phone for nearly a year and never had any problems with it. It takes good quality pictures, and I love that you can set your alarm to be a song, I just wish it came with a larger memory for texts. Songs play well, there's room for an external memory card if you want more room.

perfect for just wanting to text and ring people

The D900i is perfect for just wanting to text and ring people. The memory isn't bad, but my phone seems to like crashing and turning itself off. I have had my D900i since Christmas 2007 and now it decides not to ring when someone is calling me and not to ring when i get a text. This is not the most reliable phone.

Points lost for its unnecessary difficulty in sliding up and down

This is a nice phone. Very easy to use and very stylish. Points lost for its unnecessary difficulty in sliding up and down and the message tone cannot be changed. This can be annoying if you have plenty of cool tunes on your phone. The memory is around 90mb which is more than enough for someone who enjoys having an album on their phone.

big screen that is easy to view and the colour screen is great

This is a superb phone as it has a big screen that is easy to view and the colour screen is great. However, be aware that the screen can be damaged easily, by putting too much pressure on it when you are talking or when it's in your pocket, etc. I know, because it happened to me, I had it fixed though and everything is fine again.

The phone has good internet access and the camcorder is excellent and can record loads. I recommend this phone.

thinking about getting the D900?, don't, get the D900i instead

The phone is great, I bought it to replace my D900 which broke. I only bought it to tide me over because I was waiting for the Samsung Omnia to be released. The phone is a great phone, it has some slight changes from the D900, firstly the D900i has an FM radio. I had never though that an FM radio would make much difference and didn't think I would ever use it, but I find myself using it most days.

The D900i also has some slight changes in its PIN lock privcay protection and how many times it asks. If you apply it to texts and phonebook it now only asks once if your reading a text then replying and then choosing someone from your phonebook. On the D900 it would of asked 3 times.

If you are thinking about getting the D900, don't get this instead.

bought it almost a year ago, it is still in pristine condition

The D900i is a cute phone that is very easy to work and contains a very good camera. Having bought it almost a year ago, it is still in pristine condition and I have never had any trouble with it at all. I would therefore definitely recommend it and would buy it again.

Overall this is a really easy to use, durable phone

This phone has a great camera on it, it takes really clear photos and holds loads also. It has a really easy to use menu that enables you to get to the different folders easily as they are all on the same page and you dont have to scroll down to see them.

The quick use button enables you to write a text really easily without having to go through the menu to do so. Overall this is a really easy to use, durable phone.

Screen breaking is classed as user damage, not covered by most warranties

Although the D900i is a good phone, has a 3.0 Megapixel camera, is good & easy to use, as is the music player, it is prone to the screen breaking, mine lasted just 2 months.

As a screen breaking is classed as user damage it is not covered by most warranties, so you could end up having to either spend money to get it fixed or having to go back to your old phone until you can get another new phone, I wouldn't buy this phone again.

Unfortunately, I was not happy for very long

When I bought the D900 from Samsung I thought it was excellent, I have always been happy with Samsung.

Unfortunately, I was not happy for very long as after two weeks, the screen went fuzzy and I had to go back to the shop, luckily, they changed it straight away.

Then, after a few months, it completely stopped charging, to which I was told that I had been too rough with the charger. I convinced them to fix it, and they ended up giving me a new one.

This one has now started to freeze up, the screen will go black and you can see that the phone is on from the buttons but you have to take the battery out to get it going again. What a nightmare, I would not recommend.

A lot of technology and style for the price

This is a fantastic phone, easy to use, good button size and ring volume is loud. The menu selection has lots of choice, I use my phone for everything, even as a planner.

I also use the MP3 player at the gym, I,m yet to see a better phone to suit my needs. Its alot of technology and style for the price, I have it in pink, its very bright and I love it, best phone I have had yet.

18 months, no problems, so easy my nan could use it

I love my Samsung D900i, it has lasted me a very long time (over 18 months) and I do not yet feel the need to change it.

The phone itself is very easy to use and I even feel that my nan could use it, its that easy. It also comes with a lot of different uses which I have found extremely helpful, i.e I travelled to Australia a few months back and found the world clock very useful as I had it set to Oz time and UK time so I knew when I could call home.

Many stylish qualities in its design and features

Very good phone, easy to navigate around and has many stylish qualities in its design. The camera quality is average but the 3x zoom is a handy feature along with many of the other options available in camera mode.

The graphics on the screen that automatically change when arriving in different countries and at times of the day are impressive.

The phone has 60MB of internal memory and is expandable using the microSD slot. The handset also has TV-Output which enables the mobile's contents to be easily exhibited on any TV screen which shows that the phone is up-to-date with other technologies.

Had everything I wanted, a good camera, games, music player

The D900i from Samsung is very good, I am a 14 year old and this phone was cheap but had everything I wanted, a good camera, games, music player etc. The only let down with this phone is that the battery life isnt great, however if you dont use it for games music etc then it should be fine.

We all think the D900i from Samsung is a great phone

I got this phone a few months ago and bought one for my husband and mum too, we all think it's a great phone. It's easy to use and I like how you can add things to the calendar quite easily. Although it does keep reminding me of calendar events months before! The phone locks when you slide it down (this can be turned off) which I think is good as it's quick and easy if you're out and about, no pressing buttons.

Nice large screen - great for checking your photos - easy to use

This is a great phone, its very easy to use, but also has plenty of features.

The Samsung D900i is a slide phone with a nice large screen, which is ideal for when you want to look at the photos taken.

The pink phone is very girly, and what every girl should have!!
