Samsung D900 Overview

The Samsung D900 is a slimline slider phone. The phone has a stunning magnesium surface and a small but functional keypad which is easy to use. Included in this little package is an excellent 3 megapixel camera with flash, a memory card slot, bluetooth, MP3 player and much more. Battery life and memory are both very good.

Good phone easy to use, found it hard to text at first

Good phone easy to use, found it hard to text at first due to layout of the keys but have got used to this now. Sometimes cuts out during calls and internet cuts out, thought this was due to network provider but my family and friends who are on same provider dont have any problems.

not that easy to use, it's quite ugly, the interface keeps on crashing

I dont really know what to say about this mobile phone, it's not that easy to use, it's quite ugly, the interface keeps on crashing and when it first came out you couldn't get one for under £200 but the good things about it is that its value has dropped so much that you can pick a new one up for about £50 and also this phone is very easy to unlock so you can put any type of sim card in it.

can take a while to pull the contacts and actually send the text

The Samsung D900 is a good phone, it has everything you would need on a mobile phone. This phone is easy to text on, but when you have finished writing a text it can take a while to pull the contacts and actually send the text.

Except for the texting process this phone is suitable for anyone. The design is nice and its quite easy to use, but it isnt as easy as Nokia's.

The screen is a fair size and it flips up to unlock and text. The camera on this phone is 3.0 megapixels so its alright, the photos that come out are very clear. It isnt hard to get around the phone and to find out where everything is doesnt take long.

The keypad to text on does'nt sit up and is the same level as the actual phone so you could accidentally press the wrong key. Overall I think this phone is a reasonable mobile to have.

was simple to use with a great camera

I really liked this phone, it was simple to use with a great camera. All the features were in a good place to get the best out of this phone. I would definatley have another, I had no problems apart from finding a good bluetooth head set, good phone but its a bit out of date now.

Slimline, can easily squash it into a handbag

Very easy to use, I have the pink design which is very girlie, slimline so can easily squash it into a handbag.

However the case has got very scratched with a little bit of paint coming off. Love the security setting where you can choose to put passwords on certain parts of the phone i.e. just photos to stop people snooping, but the camera itself isn't great and photos can come out very blurry, overall good.

Durable, easy to use and smart

The phone works well, not had any serious problems with it yet and have had it for around 9 months, easy to use and smart. I did have a few problems with the internet and also the picure messaging service but resolved. Have dropped it a few times and had no problems so very durable.

Lacking the the functionallity other models in this price band can offer

This robust model has definalty stood the test of time and held up well to numerous "accidents" involving water and great heights.

The slider feature of this model means it is easy to recieve calls and the keys are hidden to avoid unnecessary calls when in your pocket.

The lack of personalisation of this phone really lets down otherwise beneficial features. It is not possible to personalise your message tone and alarms are also fixed, which after two years of the same alarm tone makes it difficult to distinguish events via alarm sounds, this is a minor point but other models offer alot more flexibility.

The camera, although advertised as 2.0 megapixels, is not very sharp and due to the lack of flash, pictures in dim light/night are impossible.

There is also no notepad feature, so this phone is very limited on its functinality, works well for phonecalls and texting, but for a model you can integrate into you lifestyle, managing you diary and storing photographic memories of good times this model is lacking the the functionallity and accessibility other models in this price band can offer.

If you want a thin phone that does the job its great

Decent phone does the job, not a brilliant camera but if you want a thin phone that does the job its great. Simple to use no hidden problems, if you have nails its tricky to open the charger slot on the side.

Great phone, easy to use and not very expensive

Great phone, easy to use and not very expensive. I've had it since it first came out and it was quite an expensive phone then, but the price has fallen. I am not surprised that many phone shops still stock this phone where as many phones that were released at the same time are no longer being sold. The phone speaks for itself. It has a few slight problems but nothing is perfect. Definately worth buying now.

Excellent product from Samsung, highly recommended

I am really impressed with this phone, it has a very smooth slide design, quite a rugged case, I also bought a protective case for mine to keep in a nice condition.

It has loads of features on it too, the camera is 3.0 mexapixel autofocus, which does take some very good pictures although when I transfer them onto my PC they can look a little blurred, on the phone though, they are very good.

The music player is very good and has a farily good sound, again I bought some additional speakers and this improved the quality even further. The file management system is also very easy to use and understand. I use the bluetooth option quite alot as well to transfer files from the phone to the PC and I have not come across any problems.

I also added a 1gb memory card to the phone as it has a slot for one. To this effect I can store lots of music tracks on there. I only have 12 so far but I can put a lot more on if I want too.

All the usual features included, alarm clock, stopwatch and calender make this a really useful tool to carry around with you.

The only negative points I can find are that its quite difficult to take the back of the phone off to access the battery and even more difficult to get the SIM card out. I like to put different SIMs in from time to time and also back up the current card, so for me I like to be able to slip the SIM card in and out without any trouble.

On the whole though an excellent product from Samsung, highly recommended

Cannot find any faults with the Samsung D900

I cannot find any faults with the Samsung D900 although it is not the best phone on the market but it is a very good phone to use, it is easy and could be used by anyone and everyone. Even as I am going to get a new phone in the near feature the D900 has convinced me to have a look at other Samsung phones and possibly buy the new Samsung U900 soul.

Thinnest 3.0 megapixel camera on the market when it was released

The Samsung D900 is a great phone, it was the thinnest 3.0 megapixel camera on the market when it was released, although there are a few more phones out there now that are slimmer.

The D900 has a great menu system and is really easy to use and pick up. I like the security on the phone which enables you to password protect everything.

The camera is great, it produces great quality pictures, nearly as good as some digital cameras

The Samsung D900 is very user friendly

The Samsung D900 is very user friendly, ideal for all types of consumer and age groups, its also good value for money. I can recommend this phone due to the its 3-bit camera which is very rare, the design and layout of the phone, durability and tough shell, which can take a few nocks without getting scratched or scuffed.

No possibility on this phone to download ringtones

This phone is not very exciting in terms of features as it pretty much has none except for the basics.

As with most Samsungs, there is no possibility on this phone to download ringtones for text/multimedia messages although it is possible with incoming call tones.

Design is very nice, although it can sometimes be hard to press the top buttons when it is open if you have large fingers.

As slim as a pancake

This phone is great, it has held its value well.

The Samsung D600 camera is great (still competes with new phones) and it is as slim as a pancake.

Well worth buying, even 18 months after its release.

The only downside to this phone is that its java capabilities aren't as good as some phones.

This Samsung SGH D900 used to be sleek, although sleekness only ever lasts for a couple of weeks.
It is solid too.It fell down a number of times and still looks new and the screen is unscratched.
The only annoyance is the ridiculous autonomy on the Samsung SGH D900. A full charge only ever lasts a day if you use it regularly... and of course there is a newer and better version now with an even better design, which I now need to get.
