a very good mobile phone that really delivers with its performance
The Nokia N95 is a lovely mobile phone which is small, compact and fits into your pocket almost without being noticed. It is very easy to connect to the internet with this phone, extremely easy and efficient when downloading material and the bluetooth connectivity is also very good.
The camera is one of the best I have seen on a mobile phone with picture perfect quality for all photos. The phone flips up to display an 'easy to use' keyboard. Overall a very good mobile phone that really delivers with its performance.
great size screen, non-fiddly keys and the camera is also very good
Hmm. A very interesting phone. The GPS was great until it stopped working, the phone kept turning itself off on me and I hardly ever use the dual-slide for the media player.
On the plus side, however, it has a great size screen (even the original N95, which I have), non-fiddly keys, & the camera is also very good. Despite having had the phone for over a year, I still can't decide whether or not I will upgrade to the N96 on the basis of this phone or not.... the Samsung range appeals to me & may win the day.
The Nokia N95 is truly brilliant
The Nokia N95 is truly brilliant. I no longer have to take my gps, iPaq, iPod, calculator or camera with me when I go out. The camera is particularly good. The quality of the photos is as good as if not better than my digital camera.
I was told that the battery life wasn't up to much, I even bought a back up battery, but I haven't found the need for it, if I charge it in the car whilst using the gps the power lasts. I am considering getting the Nokia N96 from my next upgrade.
Amazing camera, better than my Fuji
Amazing camera, better than my Fuji, great sound, though the speakers do tend to give out if your not nice to them. The screen is very fragile so I would recommend a crystal case, good looking phone, easy to use.
stylish phone with lots of features
This is a stylish phone with lots of features. It takes a while to figure out how to use everything simply because there is so much there to use. Music sounds great on this phone and the volume levels are better then any I've found on other phones without adding speakers.
The photo quality is crystal clear and the camera easy to use. Overall this phone is a joy to use, it's just a shame that it has such a short battery life.
If playing music or on the web the battery will only last a couple of hours which is a real shame as it really lets an otherwise great phone down.
does not disappoint if you are a serious mobile phone user
The Nokia N95 hit the market as a high-end phone and still over a year later leads the market in its capabilities but is not without its flaws. However, most of these flaws are fixable if you find the phones good points and worthy of investigating the solutions.
Firstly, for its price, it's worth bearing in mind that a lot of the things the N95 can do may be extraneous for some potential buyers who might be better off buying a less expensive phone with fewer features. With GPS, direct access to your emails, messenger services and even the ability to present power point presentations on your phone it is not worth purchasing for the average user who will only use it for calling and texting. (Although in my experience I have found the N95 to be a great phone for texting, as a heavy SMS user.)
As a jack of all trades, a complete review of what the N95 does would be inferior to a hands-on trial, but to summarise.
Browsing the internet on the N95 is a pleasing experience, with many dedicated shortcuts to make navigation quicker. Arguably the most exciting thing about the N95, however, is the ability to handle some impressive 3rd party applications, which developers who are continuously impressing its users with. With this capability, there have been endless adjustments to the N95s functionality. Auto-rotation, interaction with sites such as Flickr and youtube, and the option to navigate the phone simply by tilting it are some of the things currently offered.
The battery life is understandably poor with all its intensive features but has improved substantially with firmware updates which Nokia provides. These updates also fix many bugs, create more RAM so the phone can handle more applications at once quicker and with fewer lock-ups, and introduces flash capabiltiies for web browsing.
The physical specs of the N95 are not as good as some of the phones available. The weight of 120g is certainly heavier than other smart phones but it is comfortable to hold. It is also worth noting paint on the keys can be scratched off with excessive use if you have long or fake nails, and damage to the phone will readily occur if you are "clumsy" with use. But overall the durability of the N95 is no different to that of any other expensive device - with the right care it'll last you.
The 2 way slider can on some devices become a bit wobbly but this can be fixed relatively basically, and there is a world of information available on the net about troubleshooting the peskiest components of the phone.
Transfer of video, images and music is a breeze with bluetooth, infrared, and USB 2.0 connections available.
With the right care, it is possible to take very high quality, even professional looking, photos with the 5.0 megapixel camera. The phone offers auto stabilisation to avoid blurry or out of focus images and Carl Zeiss optics. The display on the N95 is also visually impressive with 16 million colour on screen at a large and viewable size.
The music player produces excellent quality and is easy to use, with it being as simple as dragging and dropping the file and plugging your headphones right into the phone with no need for an adaptor. The potential to hold a 16gb memory card means you can store around 3000 songs on your phone.
Overall, this top-end device does not disappoint if you are a serious mobile user.
great camera and the quality of pictures and videos are great
The Nokia N95 is the best phone I have had, it has a great camera and the quality of pictures and videos are great. The phone itself I found is very easy to use. However I have found the battery life isn't all that great and I have had a few little problems with it turning itself off. Overall though I really like this phone.
I have found that I only tend to use the basic features
I went for this phone due to all the extras including the maps, however I have found that I only tend to use the basic features i.e. phoning and texting. The camera is very good, although the video can be grainy. The phone is much thicker then a lot on the market, however I find this good as I can find it in my handbag.
powerful and well designed phone with only a couple of draw backs
A powerful and well designed phone with only a couple of draw backs. I have been using my N95 for a year now and I have never been happier with a phone. The overall build quality is superb with a good solid click as you slide the screen up.
The screen is large and bright and coupled with a 5.0 mega-pixel camera makes viewing pictures and videos a delight. The N95 comes with a good selection of software although the Media Software sometimes fails to live up to the rest of the phones quality.
The Media Software is very slow when it comes to detecting newly added tracks and with a 2GB card full of music can take up to 10 minutes to arrange them all. That said the sound quality (through the supplied headphones) is fantastic.
The Nokia also allows you to download additional software packages such as NGage for gaming and an accelerometer. The accelerometer allows your phone to know if it is being moved and with a large amount of people writing software for this you can add features to your phone like a pedometer, auto rotation and the wonderfully geeky light sabre (wave your phone around to make light sabre wooshes and clangs). This said some of these add ins can reduce your battery life severly (the pedometer meant that I had to charge my phone every day as opposed to the usual 3 - 4 days).
The phone can handle emails and the usual text and MMS. Wireless connectivity allows you to connect to a wireless router and browse the internet, ideal for those commuting. The web browser is very easy to use and although the screen could never compete with a laptop it is perfectly adequate for quickly browsing for information or checking your emails.
The keyboard is well designed and the buttons are large enough for even the most cack handed of typists.
Initial startup takes longer than I am used to for a phone (about 30 seconds) but in the past year the phone has only crashed on me once.
Overall the phone is without a doubt the best I have used to date, although overshadowed by its big brother the N95 8GB which has a larger screen, more storage and more RAM, if you can find one for a resonable price I am sure that you will fall in love with it as much as I have.
I love the camera, and the gps is very handy
I've had my N95 since Sept 07, it's been repaired twice, replaced three times and I'm about to return it once more.
It's incredibily frustrating to lose calender information on a continual basis. The phone when it works, is very good. I love the camera, and the gps is very handy. Unfortunately it doesn't work for more than a couple of months before faults start to appear. It hasn't been dropped, scratched or immersed in water. The only wear is on the 0 and 4 on the keypad where the silver finish has worn off. (but then I've only had this particular one since July).
I think perhaps phones are becoming so terribly complex that the reliability is suffering, I always thought Nokia's were bomb proof, this one certainly isn't.
features are easy to use and its help system is simple
I found the Nokia N95 an easy phone to use from switching from a Samsung the features are easy to use and its help system is simple. The phone is on the large size but I feel good about that so you cant lose it in your pocket. At the moment there are loads of these handsets to buy and they are nicley priced since the release of the N96.
I've had it a year and I dont even want an upgrade
This phone is great. Feature packed and looks awesome. I have never had a problem with it (touch wood!). The only downside I would mention is that the battery life is pretty poor. I rarely make phonecalls (mainly just texts and photos) and the battery lasts approx 2 days. And once the battery starts to die it really fades fast.
The photos this phone is capable of are amazing for a camera phone. Most of the pictures are better than those taken with my digital camera, more colour and definition. The autoflash is great and the scene modes are handy. You can even select exposure compensation/image sharpness/light sensitivity/colour tone/white balance etc like a proper camera.
All in all a great phone, I've had it a year and I dont even want an upgrade yet.
very good features but usability is poor in my opinion
This phone has very good features but usability is poor in my opinion, plus after a few weeks the battery life starts to deplete, oh and the phone turns it self off. I've returned mine 3 times now and all the problems are still present. I think that the only quality thing on this phone is the camera
Excellent phone, camera is very high quality with 5.0 megapixels
Excellent phone, camera is very high quality with 5.0 megapixels and a Carl Zeiss lens it is almost as good as my Cybershot digital camera. Very easy phone to use (like all Nokia's really) and has been very hard wearing, still fully functional after 18 months of being dropped, bumped and scratched.
the best camera I have ever had on a mobile phone
Excellent phone, a few too many features on it for me. But it is the best camera I have ever had on a mobile phone, lots of storage space for pictures and songs and also movies. Takes some time to get use to the phone but once you get the hang of it, you will love it. Also very strong phone so don't worry if it falls out of your pocket.
screen is clear and good size for viewing web pages and photo's
Great design but can feel a little plastic, the screen is clear and good size for viewing web pages and photo's. With a 5.0 megapixel camera you can't really go wrong. Separate controls slide out opposite end from numbered keys, very handy. My main gripe was the battery life, very poor. I heard that the latest firmware addresses this, and it does nicely. Overall a good phone, does everything you could ask for.
first time I've ever wanted to stay with the same model of mobile
I'm due to upgrade my mobile and to be honest this will be the first time I've ever wanted to stay with the same model of mobile.
As I'm not bothered about having a touch screen mobile, the N95 has all I could ever want from a mobile. A brilliant camera, easy to navigate, functions that I really do want and use.
Only downsides I can think of are, after a year of good use the silver is coming off the navigation button & battery life is coming to an end,
love this mobile though.
Excellent but bulky
Excellent but bulky, good features although maps application takes a long time to connect to GPS and signal is poor. Memory runs out quickly when too many applications are open. Downslide opens an unnecessary application. Sound quality is good and top volume loud.
slightly big, but this is just to hold all the great features it has
This phone has the tendency to appear too business like or 'manly' because it's slightly big, but this is just to hold all the great features it has.
I particularly love the wireless connection, 5MP camera and the ability to add more applications. I use it for everything from listening to music, watching video clips, keeping notes, internet, taking pictures, financial diary and lots more. I must mention the screen quality is amazing too and it's hard to find any other phone to match that.
by far the best mobile phone I have had
Its easy to use, versatile and generally nice however I dont like the lifeblog feature. I can take pictures and the camera is great, 5.0 megapixels. I think its great, by far the best mobile phone I have had and I would definitely have another Nokia in the future
especially useful for any entrepeneur and business owner
The Nokia N95 is a great all rounder and especially useful for any entrepeneur and business owner. It is packed with features including an amazing 5mp camera with Carl zeiss zoom, GPS, high speed internet access. Its successor, the N96 makes what I think is the world's best phone that little bit better.
Overall a very good phone with plenty of features
Excellent phone, battery usage a bit on the heavy side, if you charge everyday no problems though. Overall a very good phone with plenty of features, camera is very good too. Would definitely recommend this phone. Once my contract runs out I will stick with Nokia but next time will get an Nokia N95 8GB.
shows how far technology has come since I first had a mobile phone
I like how this mobile phone shows how far technology has come since I first had a mobile phone, the graphics are spectacular.
However, the classic Nokia 'Snake' game which comes as standard on these handsets has evolved into a new 3D version which I found difficult. I felt that the whole reason the game was popular in the first place was because of it's simplicity.
Note to female users with acrylic nails, don't buy this phone. It's ok to dial the keypad but the main keys on the front are nearly impossible to press.
When using the music player you must have your N95 plugged into it's charger as playing music drains the battery VERY quickly.
Knowing what I know, would I buy it? No, I don't think the price reflects that this is really a work-in-progress phone, something to show off a bit of the new technology that they've got, without giving the user, enough.
lots of my friends are using the Nokia N95
As lots of my friends are using the Nokia N95, I bought one last year. It is very nice. The system is great. The themes available online are plenty, and most of them are excellent.
The one bought in the UK is lighter than those bought in China. I prefer the British one. I don't know why there is a difference. Overall, I quite like it.
camera and video camera really are high quality
Pretty average phone really. To be honest I expected it to be far better than it is. The camera and video camera really are high quality, but then I have a camera and a video camera that are capable of that so this was not my priority.
The menu is pretty easy to navigate but the phone is quite misleading - with such a big display screen it makes it easy to mistake for a touch screen device as you might expect, and so it become frustrating when you actually have to press the buttons.
It is idiot proff really, and simple to use, easy to connect to the PC. Battery life isnt great, especially when using the camera etc. Despite the negatives I am happy to keep it for the duration of my contract.
got this over an iPhone because the camera is so much better
I got this over an iPhone because the camera is so much better. It has a good solid operating system, though not as user friendly as an iPhone or even a Windows Mobile phone (wish I'd known the Samsung Omnia was coming out).
Overall OK ish but after a couple of touchscreen Windows Mobile phones I find text entry clunky and the fact it doesn't fully synchronise with Outlook (no categories among others) extremely annoying.
But I guess I'm a Windows Mobile freak, GPS, appearance operating system, web browsing not as good as an iPhone (I'm sad to say)
took time to get used to the buttons being so close together on the keypad
Took a long time to get used to the buttons being so close together on the keypad. Especially the 0 at the bottom of the keypad - I kept hitting the 8 instead which lead to a lot of misentered numbers and poorly spelt texts, and it seems to have the usual Nokia problem of re-booting randomly for no apparent reason.
a really powerful and capable mobile phone
The Nokia N95 is a really powerful and capable mobile phone, but it does have one major weakness, no let's call it two.
Memory, it doesn't have enough ram and you will see "not enough memory" messages quite a bit. Battery life, using it heavily will eat batteries and leave you stuck.
Also, the speaker is a bit hissy, with some background noise even with headphones.
I love it. It's classy, stylish and different
A fantastic phone, my husband has just given me this phone as he had an upgrade - I love it. It's classy, stylish and different. Its a little larger than the majority however it is robust and durable. Screen is an excellent size and the battery life seems to go on for ever a well worth purchase.
had terrible battery life but this has been rectified with subsequent releases
The N95 didnt have the best start, it originally had terrible battery life but this has been rectified with subsequent releases.
The phone is very easy to use and has some very advanced features. It really has all of the features you could ever need from a 5.0 megapixel camera to Wi-fi.
The camera is excellent in both still and video with a zoom on both functions. It also has a front camera for video calling. It has some other stand out features, one such is saying the name of the person calling (if they are in your phone book) - nice idea.
The overall design is good and has a nice two way slide, one for general use and the other specifically for media.
The phone seems to be quite robust and (as mentioned above) the battery life is now good - I get about 3 days with normal use between recharges.
All in all, a very good phone with some excellent features. I would highly recommend this phone.
good handset but overall too slow and bulky for me
The lifeblog is a useful feature which compiles a timeline of pictures and text messages in a diary style. The look of the phone is sleek and stylish, however it is quite bulky. I thought that the usability of the phone was very slow so I traded my phone. It is a good handset but overall too slow and bulky for me
Still not managed to work out how the sat nav works
Very good design, heavy and bulky though, if you are a heavy user with pictures and videos I suggest buying a memory card as it doesnt store much when using phone memory. Still not managed to work out how the sat nav works yet, very complicated. apart from that I like it.
one of the best handsets on the market and makes an excellent purchase
This is a first class handset, it is packed with features and is very easy to use. The camera at 5.0 megapixels is easily good enough to take top class photos and the memory card feature allows you to snap away without worrying about running out of memory.
It can hold loads of MP3 tracks and the media player and supplied earphones allow a quality listening experience. The symbian 60 operating system allows for many software upgrades and there are lots of applications available. To sum up this is one of the best handsets on the market and makes an excellent purchase.
needs software updates to help prevent crashes, looking forward to the N96
A very good all-rounder, with lots of software that makes the phone very useful. On the downside, it has very poor battery life, also needs software updates to help prevent crashes which used to happen to me frequently when I first got it. I shall be waiting for the N96.
Great 5.0 megapixel camera and fast internet access
Great looking phone with loads of features. Great 5.0 megapixel camera. Fast internet access. Two-way sliding face feature for instant access to entertainment options. This phone also comes with Nokia maps for satelite navigation which is a great feature but you can also buy things like TomTom on SD card.
good mobile phone with good features and fairly easy to use
The Nokia N95 is a good mobile with good features and fairly easy to use. The design is great but it would be better if it was smaller. The only major problem I found was the battery life, you are constantly charging it because the phone has so many applications.
Well, this is certainly a great phone
This is the mobile phone that my wife is currently using. It was mine for a few months, however no matter what phone I get, I am always upgrading and hand them down to her.
Well, this is certainly a great phone, I got this as a refurb upgrade from Vodafone as with many it seems, the first one froze and had to be returned.
Thankfully we have had it a year and have had virtually no problems with it other than she dropped it and it would not fire up. This turned out to be a battery problem so I just purchased a new one and all has been good since.
It is fully loaded with gizmo's which is good however my wife is a techno phobe and most is really wasted on her. It does have a fabulously easy camera and video capability which she finds a breeze to use. The quality is first class and she is in awe of the fact that I can use the supplied cables to view the movies on our TV.
The unit does have Sat Nav loaded onto it as standard, however from the day I got the phone I have had trouble getting it to work. This is why I purchased the phone and I think this is why I got bored with it.
The phone has pretty much stood the test of time so far, apart from the Nokia logo has rubbed off and the slider is somewhat loose now and maybe it is looking a tad tatty.
Overall, a good phone, my wife swore that she would only ever use posy flip phones, however she now wants a Nokia N96 when it comes out...she has been converted to Nokia sliders.
a brilliant camera & music player
The N95 has a brilliant camera & music player. It's chunky but light & fits in a handbag easily, there is a large screen and the handset is very easy to use. Unfortunately it has a poor battery life but overall an excellent phone, would highly recommend.
Great for work and music lovers
This is a fantastic phone, the only downside is the slightly low battery life as alot of the applications and games suck the power right down. Adobe is already installed on the phone, which is brilliant if your using it for work and for music lovers you can plug your own headphones straight into it which is great.
All I need is the N95, it has everything I used to carry individually
Although larger than most mobile phones, I find the N95 is great as now there's no need to carry around my iPod, sat nav, radio, camera and mobile - all I need is the N95 which has all of the above built in - a great phone.
The 5.0 megapixel camera is great for taking photos of my children when out and about, much better than my previous digital camera, and love the way I can edit the pics - esp. the negative effect.
Somewhat difficult to use and takes longer to get to some options and features
I found after using the Sony Ericson P910i touchscreen that the Nokia N95 was somewhat difficult to use and it takes longer to get to certain options and features. Overall the handset is pretty good but I can't get used to it so will opt for another touchscreen for my next handset.
You won't want to go back to other phones after using the N95
This is the best mobile phone that I have ever had, it does everything I could want from a mobile phone and more, I couldn't imagine having another phone.
Photography: Great camera for a mobile, takes great 5.0 megapixel shots. As a photographer a good camera in a phone is one of my top priorites and this does the job. Lots of advanced control options - amazing for a phone - such as ISO, white balance, mode settings, tone ( b&w, sepia, colour ) and more. You can even do limited photo editing and processing with the phone. Of course, what you can do with the phone in terms of photography is nothing compared to a real camera, but as a carry about phone camera for snap shots it's amazing.
Video: High quality DVD like recording. You can take hours of footage ( assuming you have a big enough memory card, which are cheap, you can get a 4 gig now for like £8 ). People will think that it's taken with a camcorder when you play it to them via the TV which you can do by plugging a supplied cable into the S-Video port on your TV, go out, come back, plug it into TV and watch your home movies, simple as that.
Internet: You can surf the real net, not the crappy wap web sites. I do a lot of surfing on my phone, I'm always looking at web sites during work breaks or when I'm out. It's great, I can check my email, write my blog, upload my photos directly to Flickr with the LifeBlog app on the phone and do almost everything I could do at home with a computer connected to the net in terms of web surfing.
Usability: The menus, keypad, the text message layout - everything is really wonderfully designed. My ONLY little critisism is the fact that they put the "C" delete button so close to the back button so sometimes it's possible to delete a message you were typing ( although it saves it directly to drafts so not too much of a big deal )
LCD display: The LCD display is huge and crystal clear. You won't want to go back to other phones after getting used to the size and clarity of the N95
Third party apps: The phone runs the Symbian OS and you can download much more software to it for pretty much all your needs. For instance I have installed an internet radio directory, much of the software can be found for free.
MP3 player - has a great MP3 player with all the bells and whistles you can expect from one. Works really well, and is LOUD when you play it through the headphones. If you want, you can play your music through the stereo speakers built into the phone.
Looks: - great, and it's very light too.
One myth that I want to dispel is the poor battery life of the N95. The Battery is FINE. You have to take into account that you have a tiny phone with a huge bright display that can run many power hungry apps. You can't expect to surf the web, make a half hour mini documentry, call several friends for a few hours, use the GPS, listen to your MP3 player and expect the battery not to be drained. This is just silly. I think people expect WAY too much. It's a phone, people, it has a tiny battery.
On a normal day I listen to about 2 to 3 hours of music, take a few photos, surf the web for about say 20 minutes, send texts, make calls, and it easily lasts the entire day. I charge mine every day but then I use it very heavily. If you just make a few texts and calls it should last 3 or 4 days without needing charging, maybe longer.
Make sure you're sensible and you will be fine. Don't expect too much from it. One mistake a lot of people make is they don't read the manual and leave applications running. If you surf the web, listen to music - whatever it is press and hold the menu button to bring up a task bar of what's running on the phone and press "C" to shutdown any apps you are not using immediately after you have finished with them - if you don't it WILL run your battery down.
Also, make sure when you first get the phone to leave it on charge overnight before using it and then for the next 3 or 4 charges do the same. I'm not 100 percent sure this makes a difference ( although I have read it does ) but there is no harm in doing it and my phone works fine.
I almost didn't get the Nokia N95 because of the negative things I had read about it. PLEASE do not make this mistake, the battery is fine. If you want a battery that powers your phone for a week or so - that's fine, you can get one, just don't expect it to do all the stuff the Nokia N95 can do.
In summary, I couldn't be without this phone, I highly recommend it.
The MP3 player sound quality is superb
This is a great mobile, other than the size of the handset it has great features, the MP3 player sound quality is superb. The phone comes with a 1gb memory card which is ample space to store all your pics and music and can be easily connected to your laptop/home computer to back up and store everything on your phone.
Great features but had issues with functionaility
Had phone for approx 7 months, it has great features like Wifi, full internet browser, mp3-mp4 player, gprs, bluetooth, really everything you can think of.
However the battery life is poor, phone is heavy/ bulky and when you try to use a couple of the features after each other the phone just resets itself.
Overall great for features as long as you dont want to use them at the same time.
If you really need all the features, go for it, otherwise take something smaller
Had this mobile phone for over a year now, I am the kind of person who has to have the latest and greatest, I always buy the top of the range, the all singing all dancing maodel and usually find I never use a fraction of the options I have paid for.
The Nokia N95 is no exception, I never use the GPS, the office software etc and to top it all it is big, heavy and ugly, if you really need all the features, go for it, otherwise take something smaller and prettier.
Good handset and I am fairly happy with it
Overall I feel that the Nokia N95 is a good handset and I am fairly happy with it. There are just a few things that I feel should be changed to make it even better.
I feel that when they designed the phone they should have put some glass on the screen as it is easily able to break if dropped, also the battery life is not too amazing on it either.
It is easy to use and has alot of benefits such as the wireless lan and also being able to put videos and music on there too. The phone is quite fast responsive and has alot of menu options which many other phones dont have.
I think this is a big step up from the previous model and they have done a good job of designing it.
The Camera feature could be improved
Not a bad phone, the camera is a pain in the backside to use so dont choose this model if you intend to take lots of pictures or want to use to to take a photo in a hurry. Texting is the same as all Nokia phones and the memory is ok. Not really used the MP3 player but it is easy to use.
Shame that you have to pay extra for the GPS services
Very good phone, but a real shame that you have to pay extra for the GPS services, however saying that, you can still search the place (free) which is quite handy. The GPS Position is also accurate, that is why my overall review for this mobile phone is excellent.
Overall the Nokia N95 is the best phone I have had, I can't wait for the N96
I have owned the Nokia N95 now for over a year without any problems, the main reason I bought it was for the phone and camera combination, however I found myself using the music player all the time and even the GPS function is handy around towns and city's that you are not familiar with.
The battery could last a bit longer but I always carry a spare one with me just in case. Overall the best phone I have ever had, I cant wait for the N96!
Best bit about this mobile is the fact it has Wi-Fi
The best bit about this mobile is the fact it has Wi-Fi which you can use whilst you're away on holiday and save on those expensive roaming charges for using internet on your phone.
Fairly large screen with a good 5.0 megapixel camera which can be turned on straight away by simply opening the camera shutter lense on the rear of the phone, also the benefits of a forward facing screen.
On the downside the handset itself is quite a lot more bulky than others on the market. Battery life isn't the best and will have to be charged fairly regularly, even with light usage. My own handset can also be a little unstable and has been known to turn itself off at times, not figured out why yet.
On the whole though, a good purchase.
8G memory, GPS, web and walk and a 5.0 mega pixel camera
Its a fab phone, really nifty, got great features such as the 8G memory, GPS, web and walk and a 5.0 mega pixel camera.
It is ideal for the younger market, the only thing I will say negatively is that once fully charged it can sometimes make a screetchy sound, v.quietly, that may well be my phone but I would not advise leaving it for a huge ammount of time charging.
The flash is great and the pictures are of top quality
Excellent mobile phone, very slick, looks so stylish, the internet facilities are brilliant, but a little expensive.
The phone has a great camera, you can set it to view yourself and use the second mode to view others, the flash is great too and the pictures are of top quality, it also has an optical zoom.
The video mode is good to but I would suggest buying a memory card. The N95 is so easy to use, I would definitely recommend the N95 from Nokia.
All the features and functions I need on a daily basis
I purchased the Nokia n95 via a phone contract, the phone has all the features and functions I need on a daily basis such as, bluetooth, camera, video etc.
The camera is a high spec 5.0 megapixels which is excellent considering its a phone first, camera second.
The fm function is good as I use it when going to watch football (excellent reception)overall I would recommend the phone to anyone.
As a business phone it comes in to its own
The phone has many useful features for the user to be two steps ahead of everyone else. As a business phone it comes in to its own.
E-mail, office tools and a great calender to keep you upto date while you are out the office, a GPS function so you can go wherever you want without the fear of getting lost. As a media centre, the phone is second to none. Playing various types of media files and with the large memory availible, you can use the phone as a music player.
The last feature deserving a mention is its built in camera. 5.0 Megapixels with an extensive selection of modes, letting you capture pictures without loosing out on quality.
Battery life issue with the Nokia N95
The battery life in the Nokia N95 does not last long, it is very poor with very few hours only, therefore it forces me to re-charge the poor phone all the time even though I do not use the phone for a whole day, its battery still just runs off.
I am not using many things (features on the phone ie long chatting on phone and not using internet and most features I have switched off.
Camera is just as good as digital Camera's you can buy
Pretty good phone all round really, I would say it's best feature is definitely the camera, it's just as good as small digital cameras you can buy, the video quality is amazing too, there is no distortion at all.
Menus are easy to use, typical Nokia, bit slow, minor detail really, i would deffinatly recommended the N95 from Nokia.
Fantastic phone but let down by poor battery life
Excellent phone overall, there is fantastic online connection compatibility and a fantastic 5.0 megapixel camera which is easily better than some digital cameras, only drawback is that applications don't close unless you specifically exit them and the battery life is poor.
PDA, Digital Camera and MP3 Player all rolled into one
This phone has some fantastic features, the organiser and camera are both excellent, I haven't scored it highly overall because I feel that the other features take away some quality from the phone, I just sometimes feel that it just does too much.
I've had to have my original handset replaced due to problems with the microphone, which seem to be recurring with my new handset. However in this day and age of gadgets, I would rate this right up there, who cares if it isn't the best mobile phone in the world, its a PDA, Digital Camera and MP3 Player all rolled into one and I for one wouldn't be without mine.
One of Nokia's best ever handsets
I know the Nokia N95 is slightly old now but the features on it are still ahead of most of the game and seeing as the price keeps dropping on a contract its an even better choice.
There are still
