built in navigation software is great

An almost perfect phone. Texting is easy with this phone and the built in navigation software is great. I find the N95 bulky but not too much of a hinderance. The screen is sharp and the camera excellent (even at night).

I was given this phone by work and my overall opinion is a very good phone, hopefully later carnations of this phone will be smaller but keep all the bells and whistles of the N95. When you compare the cost of this phone to the iphone, galaxy s and htc desire I can see why alot of people would plump for this.

photo's it produces are actually pretty good quality.

When I got this phone I actually just wanted a phone, and was not really all that interested in loads of additional functionality. But then I realised that it was very handy to have a camera with me at all times, and the photo's it produces are actually pretty good quality.

After a while I decided to put the synchronise software on my laptop, and was really pleased to discover the fact that all my contacts from Outlook can be copied on to my phone. That made life so much easier.

Recently I have discovered the Maps functionality - so why did I bother to get a TomTom, when all I needed could be run off my phone? Very useful!

Now that I have got Skype working on the phone as well it's great. Who needs a contract when you can pay as you go, but not need to pay. This Phone is great.

an old model but a good one.

Nice phone, had it for 2.5 years and have had no problem, battery life is a bit short though. However I still like the fact that it is not a touchscreen phone. The menus are sensible and easy to get used to, plus it has all the modern features like wi-fi, good 5 megapixels camera and so on. So an old model but a good one.

It can store lots of music and it takes really good photos

I love this phone its so easy to use. It can store lots of music and it takes really good photos. You can add the photos to your contact list to use as a profile so you can see who is calling you and it also mentions the name of the person calling you when they ring.

It stores birthdays, anniversaries and updates them each year for you. You can also set up reminders to be repeated each week or month whichever you prefer. I love this phone.

Texting, volume and mp3 player all are great

Complete with GPS satellite navigation, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and 3G video calling. Overall the phone is great. Texting, volume and mp3 player all are great. The only weakness is that its pretty bulky, despite its slide design but I love it!!

Very easy to access applications

Excellent phone does everything I need. Stores at least 50 songs which you can use as ringtones. Stores plenty of photos which are easy to share and you can assign them to phone numbers.

Very easy to access applications and has 2 views (list and gallery). The only thing that bothers me is that it is difficult to insert memory card in, but once in its fine.

The camera has 5 megapixels which is great

It's a bit big and chunky but the basic features are very good. The camera has 5 megapixels which is great. The interface with MS Outlook for numbers and addresses is really useful. There are quite a few useful features included as basic options such as conversion tools, Adobe reader etc. My only complaint really is its size - smaller would be better.

The camera takes an excellent picture

I have had this phone for 18 months now and find it to be brilliant. The camera takes an excellent picture, and the flash works well in the dark. I like the voice activation for phone calls so I can hear who is calling me. The keys are just about big enough for me as I have large fingers. I am due a new phone soon and will be getting a Nokia N97. The N95 is a brilliant phone and I cannot wait to get the N97.

The Nokia N95 is a great phone with many features

The Nokia N95 is a great phone with many features, including a great camera and music player. The only slight downfalls of this model is the battery life, seems to deplete very quickly and the slide function is a little bit flimsy. But all in all any negatives are outweighed by the tons of features. Size is also ok, not too small and not too big. Definitely recommend this phone to friends and family.

The number of functions is staggering

Cosmetically, this phone is very pleasing although quite large (in comparison with other handsets) - it is lightweight. The number of functions is staggering - Internet, call, text, diary, notes, currency convertor to name just a few. Overall, a brilliant handset and highly recommended.

little slow in terms of software

I like the slide phone, however, I find this particular phone a little slow in terms of software. The camera, web and overall phone features are excellent. I have found the phone to be robust and the battery life is very good. When left on all day every day, it will last 4-5 days before recharging.

The sliding feature is a pleasure to use

This is a smashing phone, although many find it's appearance clunky at least you not going to loose it in your jean pockets like so many of the tiny phones nowadays.

The sliding feature is a pleasure to use and the music player buttons when revealed are pure design genious! I find this a very user friendly phone and anyone who likes Nokia phones will not be disappointed. It is genrally reliable altough it has occasionaly crashed, but nothing turning off and then back on couldn't solve.

The Sybion (if i spelt that right) is really quite fun as you can find allsorts of amazing software to install. The sound quality is the best I have ever heard from a mobile. Even though I have since purchased an iPhone I often find myself switching simcards and taking the N95 out with me as it more pratical for general usage and better battery life.

haven't had any faults with mine yet

The N95 is easy to use, the software is fairly reliable and I haven't had any faults with mine yet.
The phone has got all the apps I need with expandable memory, it looks good and you can play your MP3 on it.
So the phone is full of function that are aimed a the user who want a multi function phone.

it remains one of my all time favorite phones

Overall very good phone, very user friendly, however this particular model came with a lot of teething problems. Freezing on a semi-regular basis and occasionally shutting down altogether for no apparent reason. It is also frustrating how slow it can be sometimes but this is probably because it comes with so many features.

Despite the negatives, it remains one of my all time favorite phones, even though I do have the use of a newer, more recently purchased phone I still find myself using this one most of the time because of it's ease of use.

best mobile phone I have ever owned

This mobile phone is the best mobile phone I have ever owned. It is very easy to use, especially to text as the keys are a decent size and it is easy to find your way around.

The features are amazing, a really excellent GPS, MP3 player, an excellent camera with an auto flash and an auto focus that takes really awesome pictures that look good even when blown up on a computer screen, and a pretty decent web browser.

The only thing I don't like on this phone is that you can't select messages to delete as easily as with my last Samsung, but other than that, I have found no faults at all. If it ever does die, I shall make sure to purchase the same phone again.

I have had to buy 4 plastic back slide on covers

The Nokia N95 is a wonderful phone. The camera is terrific and has many features that are great. The only two problems I have with it is that its a little bulky and I have had to buy 4 plastic back slide on covers over the battery compartment for £5.00 each as they keep breaking, the clips are so very fragile...and I am about to buy cover number 5 as again its broken. Other than that a terrific phone.

Great camera, had many a great shot with this phone. Love this phone, but the buttons can be quite small and awkward to type with one hand. I recommend if you get this phone you also get a protector case with it as many friends of mine sat on it and cracked the screen.

I love my Nokia N95

I have been using the N95 for 2 years now, it is not only my mobile phone but also MP3 player, Camera, Internet Browser, most importantly, instant messenger, IP/voip Phone, and Tomtom Navigator. Though I have to use external GPS receiver with it, but it works fine. I have an option to upgrade but I love my Nokia N95 as it is all in one for me.

finding compatible software for free on a mac is quite hard

The phone itself is good looking, and relatively easy to get one with. However, finding compatible software for free on a mac is quite hard, and also the battery life is an issue. When on standby its fine, but start using applications and it soon dies. I'd advise two batteries (or an emergency charger pack)

Best thing on the phone for me is the 5.0MP camera

A very good phone. I have had mine for a while. Best thing on the phone for me is the 5.0MP camera and it takes excellent photos. It has GPS so you can install programs such as Tom Tom and works great.

Although it has web browsing capability, it is not as user friendly as the touch screen phones are. Downside is that if you use it a lot you will probably need to charge every day or every other day. It can also be slow if you have too many applications up.

All in all a good phone if you want to use the phone for specfic features rather than have a phone with all the new features and then get bored of using them.

Camera on this phone is brilliant

Excellent phone. Camera on this phone is brilliant, making some great family, landscape photos. Really liked the internet access, using a wireless service at home, majority of webpages are available and compatible. Only downside is the memory, which can be solved by buying a larger SD card. But due to camera being so good I found myself taking picture upon picture! Would recommend this phone to anyone

Pretty similar to the N96 but with a smaller memory

Good phone, with a good set of features. Pretty similar to the N96 but with a smaller memory and not quite as good screen, otherwise it is just as good. Memory can be upgraded with a microSD card. The possibility to install other sat nav software such as Route66 is also a good feature as it gives options other than Nokia's own "maps" application.

A quick way to set it so silent ring would be great

It's a little heavy. There is quite a lot of flexibility, but it's not intuitive to use. The camera is adequate, but it seems a little antiquated to have to manually move the lens cap. This should be part of the slide open function to make it more slick.
A quick way to set it so silent ring would be great; I never found that.

Won't buy a Nokia again this phone was released with bugs

The Nokia N95 phone starts off great. When I bought it, it was so far in advance of anything in the market it was really impressive. Unfortunately it soon becomes apparent with this phone that it was released far too early.

The phone is full of bugs, it will crash on you without reason. But most frustratingly of all is that it gets slower and slower and slower, until it takes around 2 minutes just to open a text message. My friends began to question my friendship as I was so slow to respond!! So I ditched the phone instead of my friends.

This phone had the potential to be great, but Nokia made a real mess of it. I'm sure the N97 is a real powerhouse of a phone now, I will just never find out as this ghastly experience has put me off ever buying a Nokia again.

Sorry Nokia, I'm sure you're the biggest phone company, but it counts against you when you make something of this quality. Feel free to send me a N97 for free and I'll be writing a glowing review I'm sure. But that is the only way I'll be buying from you again. A real shame!

Had 16 months and still love it

This is a nice easy phone to use with on screen help on certain functions if you get a bit lost and has some great features, although it could do with a stopwatch/timer function as this would be of use for me.

It takes great pictures and videos ( I now leave my digital camera at home and only use it for special occasions).

Battery life is not too bad but depends on application usage. Had mine for 16 months and still love it.

Important to get the screen cover

As usual one has to get the hang of a new phone! However with a help choice on each screen this saves having to plough through the manual. Important to get the screen cover (£5) as the large screen is easily scratched. It`s the first mobile that I haven`t been bothered to update as it does everything, email, super camera, bluetooth and surfing the net.

Another great phone from Nokia. It has plenty of great features and is very user friendly. I found the camera to be of excellent quality and it was an added benefit that it has a flash (great for nights out!)

My N95 came with Sat Nav kit, which came in very handy on occasions. Great little phone for busy people on the move, as you have everything at your finger tips (Internet, Phone, Sat nav & ability to open excel & word documents).

had this phone for 2 years and do not want to change it

Packed with so many features it may take you a while to get used to them all. 5.0 Megapixel camera produces brilliant pictures, whilst the video in high quality TV setting produces DVD quality films. With TV out cables you can watch all your holiday videos on TV in the clearest picture I've ever seen. The film editing suite on the phone makes creating your own youtube classic or fun family film easy. Top marks for that.

The screen has 16 million pixels and is just amazing to look at and view all apps. The memory is only 160mb but with (personally) 4gb is more than enough for my needs. 900 songs on so far and enough left room for plenty of video and pictures. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone socket (at the side unfortunately. Makes it a bit fiddly in your pocket) which allows any headphones and with the high quality music the N95 produces, the sound is fantastic. The N95 has two side speakers which allow for music without headphones and the sound is good quality and LOUD!

The internet is 3G so the download times are amazing. Will never go back to 2G. Just awful compared to 3G. The N95 makes the internet usable and justifies getting a monthly data bundle. Also, emailing is easy and setting up an account simple (yahoo, google)

Downsides - it can be a little slow to respond if you press the buttons too quickly after turning it on or at anytime come to think of it but generally gives a great performance.I have had this phone for 2 years and do not want to change it (second 18 month contract signed up for) Overall - Brilliant smart phone

the screen is particularly vulnerable

This phone is great when you first get it, it has lots of features, a brilliant 5mp camera and a micro SD slot to hold lots of movies and pictures to view.

The messaging is quite annoying in that it doesn't save the last person you text so when continually texting the same person it becomes monotonous to have to search through the phone book to get to them.

The reason I gave it a 3 for design is that the screen is particularly vulnerable, it has no plastic cover over the lcd screen, this has caused me to smash my lcd screen when I dropped it.

So it is a very good upto date phone but beware of costly repairs!

I was actually a bit sceptical about getting one

I got this phone on a contract from 3 Mobile, and I was actually a bit sceptical about getting one, since it was classified as a business phone and what not.

But once I got it, I loved it. Great and simple to use, smart and elegant design. And its got all the features I need as well. The 5 MP camera is ace, and the video quality is good as well.

The major drawback being that it will consume your battery very fast. WiFi is also good, but the inbuilt browser is quite basic and rubbish. I had to install Opera to start using it properly.

All in all, its a great phone and I'm glad I took it then. 4 stars out if 5! Well done, Nokia!!

Very fragile, great features but falls apart!

If you need a hard-wearing phone, don't get an N95!

Software wise, apart from crashing occasionlly, this phone does exactly what it says on the box. The handset itself however does not.

I work in an office, keep my phone in my bag under my desk, and when on a night out it stays in my pocket.

Despite this it is scratched to bits, has had three new battery backs and when I finally gave it up it was held together with tape.

Very fragile and femer, and not hard wearing at all.

I have to say this phone is fab

I have to say this phone is fab - the large screen makes for brilliant surfing of the internet and the 5mp camera is great. The viewing of your photos is really easy, you can see small thumbnails or full size photos. The music player works in the background and the dual sliding of the phone provides really easy music player controls as well as the usual keyboard.

All in all, there are very few faults with the phone. The only thing I would say is it is a little heavier and bulkier than other models on the market but otherwise a full 10/10

the overall usability of this phone is amazing

The N95 is a very easy to use phone with most of its functions to hand, with one click of a button, although the design is abit chunky and some features of the phone I do find annoying, the overall usability of this phone is amazing.

The only thing that really bothers me about this phone is the gallery, it shows all your images and video's in one view making it difficult to find photos or videos, specially if you have alot on your phone.

This phone is very easy to modify from its case to its applications making this phone very versatile.

I should also mention the battery life, if you have a new battery you wont notice how little usage time you get but after 6 months of use you will notice your phone may deteriate.

web browsing is okay, but the page navigation is tiresome

N95 was recommended by agent saying MS word and Excel documents could be used and edited on this phone, they can't. The camera is good quality, but the keys are fiddly and sometimes the 'phone freezes and needs re-starting. The web browsing is okay, but the page navigation is tiresome, requiring you to view all open pages and selecting the one you're after. Battery life is poor, needing to be charged daily, a good looking package, let down by lack of practicality.

I personally love the phone, especially the internet, because I can plug the phone into my laptop and go on the internet anywhere, helped by the software that Nokia provide, which I have to say is fantastic.

Easy to use and very easy to transfer photos, files and data from phone to PC and the other way around too. The phone can be used as a memory stick which is good as I am a student. The phone can be slow, but battery is quite long lasting which is good. Overall a good phone, I love it and glad I got it.

Great looks but poor battery life. If you use the MP3 player or camera a lot you will need back up batteries. I love the phone but not the battery life. Otherwise it is one of the best phones I have used.

It has good sound and a loud speaker, the reception is very good. The phone has a good look to be proud of but just a little too bulky. The silver phone has a good screen size, very easy to read. Nokia says the new models should have a better battery life. A phone that is a must have if it works properly.

It was the screen that came into contact with some blunt object or other. I wasn't impressed with the durability of this phone as 2 of my friends also suffered the same problems. It seems that only slight bumps with life caused these N95's to malfunction and it was not only accidental damage that stopped this phone from working...

My N95 would sometimes power-off well before the battery displayed a need to recharge. Sometimes the phone would not switch back on for several hours for no apparent reason. One of my friends' N95 had faulty volume buttons in that they would not press as if they were not in contact properly. However, all was not lost as we had taken out accidental damage insurance and were able to get them repaired no problem.

So the camera is great, memory capability obviously great being one of the first to implement fully the micro-SD technology. Good ability for gaming if you were so inclined and indeed a good deal of helpful tools on-board to organise one's busy lifestyle.

However, to take a negative tone about it again I must admit that I was constantly frustrated with the response time when commanding the phone to take me to the inbox or gallery etc. It seems that the powers that be came up with all the great features but compromised a little too much on the processing speeds. I can only imagine that this was an attempt to lengthen the battery-life.

But again, disappointingly, that system also lets me down as the phone had little or no chance of lasting 2 whole days without being plugged into the wall. Now this is fine if you are using it at work where a wall-socket is close-by, but if you are travelling or have forgotten your charger, you feel like you better rashion the usage or else be left without a mobile phone.

I have always been a fan of Nokia phones and I've always loved the contextual menu-system from the main-screen in that there was always a way of setting up some kind of short-cut menu to go to all your favourite places i.e. inbox, alarm, webpage etc. The N95 does not posses this feature and the only short-cut options are singular for each of the buttons on the handset.

In addition to the features-frustration there is not a stop-watch or count-down timer and these two things were the most used tools on my last Nokia they helped out when cooking for one and many other things. It seems madness to me that Nokia would cut out such small and useful programs!

All in all, the N95 is more of an office-assistant which is maybe what it was intended for. However I think that the next-gen Nokia should have a much better battery life, as many features plus more.

The N95 seemed more like a technical exercise rather than a trusty side-arm in a world in communication frenzy!

does everything I want it to and more

This is the best phone I have ever had! It does everything I want it to and more. The software is very user friendly although sometimes it can be a little "buggy" and need to have the software re-installed, this is pretty straightforward but do back up your info first.

The camera on it is amazing. Screen has never been scratched, I think all that it is missing is a belt clip so it would be easier to use it as an MP3 player.

picture quality is second to none at both long range and upclose

This phone is excellent as you can see from my rated scoring above. The picture quality is second to none at both long range and upclose, couple this with the PC software that comes in the box and you will have some crystal clear memories stored on your PC.

It's also the only phone I have ever had that has outlasted it's contract, I normally end up with a pile of electronics after some accident or other, this baby just keeps going no matter how many times I drop it ha ha.

Also I recently upgraded to the N96(which I got for free off my network provider) and was offered £95 by Envirofone for my N95 after having it for 18 months, which is nice.

I must say at this point that I kept my N95 and sold the N96 to Envirofone due to the N96 feeling plasticky and flimsy.

The Nokia N95 is the best phone I have used, it's user friendly has good features, I would recommend to all. The only issue I have with the phone is it's not compact enough, but if this is the only issue then I'm not really worried about it. The camera is one of the best I have used on a phone.

overall a great all round phone, highly recommended

Brillant phone, easy to use, had no problems so far and will be getting the N96 soon. The 5MP camera is good although not excellent, could do with an easier method of scrolling i.e. touch screen maybe. Plays mp3 and mp4, overall a great all round phone, highly recommended.

I have had to reload the software on several occasions

The N95 is a nice looking phone with lots of features (most useful), however there seems to be a major software issue. I have had to reload the software on several occasions. One of the issues is that the battery will suddenly decide not to charge. The phone also turns itself off sometimes when in use, very inconvenient.

Excellent phone and assoicated features. The menu system is very intuitive and can be learnt very easily. Drawbacks are that battery life can run down very quickly if you are using multiple applications at same point. Web session can re-start itself automatically during browsing session.

An excellent all rounder. Easy to use, buttons of a good size that make texting easy. The loudspeaker is the best on a phone that I have used, the battery lasts a good length of time even when using it to listen to music or make long calls. Lastly the camera is brilliant very easy to use and the quailty is amazing.

good phone, although some of the features seem confusing to begin with

A good phone, although some of the features seem confusing to begin with, also the camera can take a while to take the pictures, and show the pics. It also has a tendancy to turn itself off and when turned back on it takes a long time to load up and you have to re enter the date and time on most occassions.

compare it with the new N96 the features are almost the same

Well I recently have bought N95, I really like this phone, it has the best features any mobile phone can have. If you even compare it with the new N96 the features are almost the same. It is also very easy to use. The best part is that with a phone with having so many features and graphics the battery lasts pretty well for me, I would definitely recommend this mobile phone.

Faultless, it does everything and far more than I need it to do.

This phone is excellent, I mainly use it for the internet as you can view webpages in full, not like other WAP phones which give you a limited view.

The screen is really big and clear. The photo quality is superb and like a good camera, the only downside is its not so good at taking moving things as it must be a bit slow at taking the actual photo.

You can download music, podcasts, allsorts to it. The speaker is decent quality too. You can even watch Youtube on it.

Then it also does all the usual phone stuff, like make phone calls (as you do) and text. The keys are not bad for typing on. I cant fault this phone really, it does everything and far more than I need it to do. It even reads barcodes - I've never used that feature yet, having never needed to read a barcode.

The camera can take a few moments to react

The phone is good, with many features, including built in gps sat nav, mp3 player, built in real player to play mp4s. However the camera although 5.0 megapixels is clunky and takes a while to actually take a photo which can be very annoying. The wifi feature does save the phone overall though.

Love Nokia phones and when this model came out I gave it my usual 18 months wait for them to work out the snags, but no... still got software problems and T- mobile are not interested, I still have 10 months on my contract, which is now cancelled, great phone but sort your software out!

I have now given up and will resort back to my trusty 6230

My previous phone, a Nokia 6230 was coming up for an upgrade so I chose the Nokia N95 as I had heard good reviews about the phone. I have had the N95 for about 5 months now and wish I hadn't bothered. The clock no longer works, nor does my voicemail and it is one of the most un-user friendly phones I've ever had.

I suppose the only good thing about the N95 is the camera (the pictures come out really good).

The shop where I bought it from, have been completely useless and after being told to download the recommended software for the phone to work (which is hasn't and I downloaded 4 times), I have now given up and will resort back to my trusty 6230.

There is a memory card slot so the phone can take a 8GB memory and be used as a media player. I love this phone so much I've gone back to using it after upgrading to the N96.

A good solid all round phone. I bought this phone as soon as they came out and I still love it to this day. Has plenty of features to keep anyone amused for hours.

A good quality camera, GPS + Sat nav, 3g, Bluetooth, a good size screen, good video capture quality. It even has WI-FI which is a very rare feature on a phone.

Couldn't find a bad point other than it crashed quite alot, but only under heavy traffic (Browsing the web and listening to music while downloading or something)

One of the best phones available at the moment. It is a relatively small phone packed with all the features that you will ever need. A 5MP camera that is not only good for a phone but will beat quite a few digital cameras on the market. Sat Nav, which is a bit slow but can come in handy. The only down point is it is quite a slow phone if your using it as a multimedia all round phone.

All in all an excellent phone, the camera is top grade too

Had this phone for the last 12 months and have to say I have never used a better mobile in my life. Haven't had a Nokia since the glory days of the 402 but this is astounding.

Menus are easy to navigate, you can update the firmware and install lots of great applications that help on a day to day basis.

The design is sweet too, with the sliding mechanism going the other way to give you buttons to stop and play your tracks.

Wifi is a great feature too and the headphone jack means you can add your own which is great for the audiophiles out there.

All in all an excellent phone, the camera is top grade too by the way.

Recharge every other day but have one of the most loaded phones going. The stills camera is outstanding - use the headphone out to connect to TV/projectors with the included cable! - and the movies are OK.

The design is good (sliders work well)and buttons are thoughtfully designed. Loads of apps out there for it, but not enough that make use of the accelerometer - I did turn the phone into a lightsaber just cos I could though. In-built speakers can fill a room too! Only 4/5 due to the battery.

I can hardly find anything negative to say about this phone. I got it on an 18th month contract and 18 months down the line, I doubt I will get a new phone with my new contract. This phone is still in great condition and still does everything I could want it to do. The menu is simple to use and loads quickly.

The only thing to consider is that if you don't clear out your message inbox every now and then it builds up and then it can take a LONG time to open your text message inbox. Thats simple enough to do though.

This phone would have it all....well it does, as long as you don't drive a BMW . If you do, then don't expect to be able to use your idrive to get your contacts and make calls hands free, sort of defeats the purpose doesn't it?.

Bluetooth capability does pair so you can speak handsfree and answer calls though. I have found it a real nuisance, as all other brands have worked fine with the in car system. The camera though is fantastic and if you drive any other car, I would recommend it.

chose this phone partly for the camera and haven't been disappointed with it

Overall I like the phone, it has a good spec camera and you can store music on it, as well as being easy to use.

Some of the menus are a little difficult to navigate, for instance finding the missed calls takes a while. There also seems to be a slight delay when entering the messaging menu but this is nothing major and you can still get to the new text screen without a delay.

I chose this phone partly for the camera and haven't been disappointed with it. Haven't used the music facility so can't comment.

love the ability to sync with my iTunes

This is a fantastic phone with the capability of upgrading memory with the purchase of SD memory card. It is not difficult for novices to grab the essentials although more complicated procedures are a little more difficult.

The only gripe I have with this phone is the occasional tendency it has to crash for no reason and you see the dreaded screen freeze and suddenly no buttons work. Otherwise I wouldn't swap this for any new fangled touch screen. I also love the ability to sync with my iTunes and be able to watch videos in exceptional quality from the phone on my tv.

quite a few minor problems plus 1 major fault has occured

I have had this phone now since Sept 07 and quite a few minor problems plus 1 major fault has occured. Sounds like a failed driving test but seriously it was.

Firstly the GPS said I was somewhere in Germany, the Internet kept on crashing and often wouldnt be fully functional. Messages that would not always send and this was a problem because I didn't check the Outbox and they were in Drafts.

Handling is great though, looks big and bulky but I wouldn't want one that looks like a toy. The speakerphone is loud and clear and menu choice is also good. Although where is the speedo, I coach football and when I didnt have a watch on me could have done with timer on the phone.

Camera quality, 5.0 Megapixels says it all, for almost a year it was top of the range and has only now been topped by 8 Megapixels

Hmm. A very interesting phone. The GPS was great until it stopped working, the phone kept turning itself off on me and I hardly ever use the dual-slide for the media player.

On the plus side, however, it has a great size screen (even the original N95, which I have), non-fiddly keys, & the camera is also very good. Despite having had the phone for over a year, I still can't decide whether or not I will upgrade to the N96 on the basis of this phone or not.... the Samsung range appeals to me & may win the day.

The Nokia N95 is truly brilliant. I no longer have to take my gps, iPaq, iPod, calculator or camera with me when I go out. The camera is particularly good. The quality of the photos is as good as if not better than my digital camera.

I was told that the battery life wasn't up to much, I even bought a back up battery, but I haven't found the need for it, if I charge it in the car whilst using the gps the power lasts. I am considering getting the Nokia N96 from my next upgrade.

does not disappoint if you are a serious mobile phone user

The Nokia N95 hit the market as a high-end phone and still over a year later leads the market in its capabilities but is not without its flaws. However, most of these flaws are fixable if you find the phones good points and worthy of investigating the solutions.

Firstly, for its price, it's worth bearing in mind that a lot of the things the N95 can do may be extraneous for some potential buyers who might be better off buying a less expensive phone with fewer features. With GPS, direct access to your emails, messenger services and even the ability to present power point presentations on your phone it is not worth purchasing for the average user who will only use it for calling and texting. (Although in my experience I have found the N95 to be a great phone for texting, as a heavy SMS user.)

As a jack of all trades, a complete review of what the N95 does would be inferior to a hands-on trial, but to summarise.

Browsing the internet on the N95 is a pleasing experience, with many dedicated shortcuts to make navigation quicker. Arguably the most exciting thing about the N95, however, is the ability to handle some impressive 3rd party applications, which developers who are continuously impressing its users with. With this capability, there have been endless adjustments to the N95s functionality. Auto-rotation, interaction with sites such as Flickr and youtube, and the option to navigate the phone simply by tilting it are some of the things currently offered.

The battery life is understandably poor with all its intensive features but has improved substantially with firmware updates which Nokia provides. These updates also fix many bugs, create more RAM so the phone can handle more applications at once quicker and with fewer lock-ups, and introduces flash capabiltiies for web browsing.

The physical specs of the N95 are not as good as some of the phones available. The weight of 120g is certainly heavier than other smart phones but it is comfortable to hold. It is also worth noting paint on the keys can be scratched off with excessive use if you have long or fake nails, and damage to the phone will readily occur if you are "clumsy" with use. But overall the durability of the N95 is no different to that of any other expensive device - with the right care it'll last you.

The 2 way slider can on some devices become a bit wobbly but this can be fixed relatively basically, and there is a world of information available on the net about troubleshooting the peskiest components of the phone.

Transfer of video, images and music is a breeze with bluetooth, infrared, and USB 2.0 connections available.

With the right care, it is possible to take very high quality, even professional looking, photos with the 5.0 megapixel camera. The phone offers auto stabilisation to avoid blurry or out of focus images and Carl Zeiss optics. The display on the N95 is also visually impressive with 16 million colour on screen at a large and viewable size.

The music player produces excellent quality and is easy to use, with it being as simple as dragging and dropping the file and plugging your headphones right into the phone with no need for an adaptor. The potential to hold a 16gb memory card means you can store around 3000 songs on your phone.

Overall, this top-end device does not disappoint if you are a serious mobile user.

powerful and well designed phone with only a couple of draw backs

A powerful and well designed phone with only a couple of draw backs. I have been using my N95 for a year now and I have never been happier with a phone. The overall build quality is superb with a good solid click as you slide the screen up.

The screen is large and bright and coupled with a 5.0 mega-pixel camera makes viewing pictures and videos a delight. The N95 comes with a good selection of software although the Media Software sometimes fails to live up to the rest of the phones quality.

The Media Software is very slow when it comes to detecting newly added tracks and with a 2GB card full of music can take up to 10 minutes to arrange them all. That said the sound quality (through the supplied headphones) is fantastic.

The Nokia also allows you to download additional software packages such as NGage for gaming and an accelerometer. The accelerometer allows your phone to know if it is being moved and with a large amount of people writing software for this you can add features to your phone like a pedometer, auto rotation and the wonderfully geeky light sabre (wave your phone around to make light sabre wooshes and clangs). This said some of these add ins can reduce your battery life severly (the pedometer meant that I had to charge my phone every day as opposed to the usual 3 - 4 days).

The phone can handle emails and the usual text and MMS. Wireless connectivity allows you to connect to a wireless router and browse the internet, ideal for those commuting. The web browser is very easy to use and although the screen could never compete with a laptop it is perfectly adequate for quickly browsing for information or checking your emails.

The keyboard is well designed and the buttons are large enough for even the most cack handed of typists.
Initial startup takes longer than I am used to for a phone (about 30 seconds) but in the past year the phone has only crashed on me once.

Overall the phone is without a doubt the best I have used to date, although overshadowed by its big brother the N95 8GB which has a larger screen, more storage and more RAM, if you can find one for a resonable price I am sure that you will fall in love with it as much as I have.

I love the camera, and the gps is very handy

I've had my N95 since Sept 07, it's been repaired twice, replaced three times and I'm about to return it once more.

It's incredibily frustrating to lose calender information on a continual basis. The phone when it works, is very good. I love the camera, and the gps is very handy. Unfortunately it doesn't work for more than a couple of months before faults start to appear. It hasn't been dropped, scratched or immersed in water. The only wear is on the 0 and 4 on the keypad where the silver finish has worn off. (but then I've only had this particular one since July).

I think perhaps phones are becoming so terribly complex that the reliability is suffering, I always thought Nokia's were bomb proof, this one certainly isn't.

features are easy to use and its help system is simple

I found the Nokia N95 an easy phone to use from switching from a Samsung the features are easy to use and its help system is simple. The phone is on the large size but I feel good about that so you cant lose it in your pocket. At the moment there are loads of these handsets to buy and they are nicley priced since the release of the N96.

I've had it a year and I dont even want an upgrade

This phone is great. Feature packed and looks awesome. I have never had a problem with it (touch wood!). The only downside I would mention is that the battery life is pretty poor. I rarely make phonecalls (mainly just texts and photos) and the battery lasts approx 2 days. And once the battery starts to die it really fades fast.

The photos this phone is capable of are amazing for a camera phone. Most of the pictures are better than those taken with my digital camera, more colour and definition. The autoflash is great and the scene modes are handy. You can even select exposure compensation/image sharpness/light sensitivity/colour tone/white balance etc like a proper camera.

All in all a great phone, I've had it a year and I dont even want an upgrade yet.

This phone has very good features but usability is poor in my opinion, plus after a few weeks the battery life starts to deplete, oh and the phone turns it self off. I've returned mine 3 times now and all the problems are still present. I think that the only quality thing on this phone is the camera

Excellent phone, camera is very high quality with 5.0 megapixels and a Carl Zeiss lens it is almost as good as my Cybershot digital camera. Very easy phone to use (like all Nokia's really) and has been very hard wearing, still fully functional after 18 months of being dropped, bumped and scratched.

the best camera I have ever had on a mobile phone

Excellent phone, a few too many features on it for me. But it is the best camera I have ever had on a mobile phone, lots of storage space for pictures and songs and also movies. Takes some time to get use to the phone but once you get the hang of it, you will love it. Also very strong phone so don't worry if it falls out of your pocket.

screen is clear and good size for viewing web pages and photo's

Great design but can feel a little plastic, the screen is clear and good size for viewing web pages and photo's. With a 5.0 megapixel camera you can't really go wrong. Separate controls slide out opposite end from numbered keys, very handy. My main gripe was the battery life, very poor. I heard that the latest firmware addresses this, and it does nicely. Overall a good phone, does everything you could ask for.

first time I've ever wanted to stay with the same model of mobile

I'm due to upgrade my mobile and to be honest this will be the first time I've ever wanted to stay with the same model of mobile.

As I'm not bothered about having a touch screen mobile, the N95 has all I could ever want from a mobile. A brilliant camera, easy to navigate, functions that I really do want and use.

Only downsides I can think of are, after a year of good use the silver is coming off the navigation button & battery life is coming to an end,
love this mobile though.

Excellent but bulky, good features although maps application takes a long time to connect to GPS and signal is poor. Memory runs out quickly when too many applications are open. Downslide opens an unnecessary application. Sound quality is good and top volume loud.

slightly big, but this is just to hold all the great features it has

This phone has the tendency to appear too business like or 'manly' because it's slightly big, but this is just to hold all the great features it has.

I particularly love the wireless connection, 5MP camera and the ability to add more applications. I use it for everything from listening to music, watching video clips, keeping notes, internet, taking pictures, financial diary and lots more. I must mention the screen quality is amazing too and it's hard to find any other phone to match that.

The Nokia N95 is a great all rounder and especially useful for any entrepeneur and business owner. It is packed with features including an amazing 5mp camera with Carl zeiss zoom, GPS, high speed internet access. Its successor, the N96 makes what I think is the world's best phone that little bit better.

shows how far technology has come since I first had a mobile phone

I like how this mobile phone shows how far technology has come since I first had a mobile phone, the graphics are spectacular.

However, the classic Nokia 'Snake' game which comes as standard on these handsets has evolved into a new 3D version which I found difficult. I felt that the whole reason the game was popular in the first place was because of it's simplicity.

Note to female users with acrylic nails, don't buy this phone. It's ok to dial the keypad but the main keys on the front are nearly impossible to press.

When using the music player you must have your N95 plugged into it's charger as playing music drains the battery VERY quickly.

Knowing what I know, would I buy it? No, I don't think the price reflects that this is really a work-in-progress phone, something to show off a bit of the new technology that they've got, without giving the user, enough.

As lots of my friends are using the Nokia N95, I bought one last year. It is very nice. The system is great. The themes available online are plenty, and most of them are excellent.

The one bought in the UK is lighter than those bought in China. I prefer the British one. I don't know why there is a difference. Overall, I quite like it.

camera and video camera really are high quality

Pretty average phone really. To be honest I expected it to be far better than it is. The camera and video camera really are high quality, but then I have a camera and a video camera that are capable of that so this was not my priority.

The menu is pretty easy to navigate but the phone is quite misleading - with such a big display screen it makes it easy to mistake for a touch screen device as you might expect, and so it become frustrating when you actually have to press the buttons.

It is idiot proff really, and simple to use, easy to connect to the PC. Battery life isnt great, especially when using the camera etc. Despite the negatives I am happy to keep it for the duration of my contract.

got this over an iPhone because the camera is so much better

I got this over an iPhone because the camera is so much better. It has a good solid operating system, though not as user friendly as an iPhone or even a Windows Mobile phone (wish I'd known the Samsung Omnia was coming out).

Overall OK ish but after a couple of touchscreen Windows Mobile phones I find text entry clunky and the fact it doesn't fully synchronise with Outlook (no categories among others) extremely annoying.

But I guess I'm a Windows Mobile freak, GPS, appearance operating system, web browsing not as good as an iPhone (I'm sad to say)

Took a long time to get used to the buttons being so close together on the keypad. Especially the 0 at the bottom of the keypad - I kept hitting the 8 instead which lead to a lot of misentered numbers and poorly spelt texts, and it seems to have the usual Nokia problem of re-booting randomly for no apparent reason.

a really powerful and capable mobile phone

The Nokia N95 is a really powerful and capable mobile phone, but it does have one major weakness, no let's call it two.

Memory, it doesn't have enough ram and you will see "not enough memory" messages quite a bit. Battery life, using it heavily will eat batteries and leave you stuck.

Also, the speaker is a bit hissy, with some background noise even with headphones.

had terrible battery life but this has been rectified with subsequent releases

The N95 didnt have the best start, it originally had terrible battery life but this has been rectified with subsequent releases.

The phone is very easy to use and has some very advanced features. It really has all of the features you could ever need from a 5.0 megapixel camera to Wi-fi.

The camera is excellent in both still and video with a zoom on both functions. It also has a front camera for video calling. It has some other stand out features, one such is saying the name of the person calling (if they are in your phone book) - nice idea.

The overall design is good and has a nice two way slide, one for general use and the other specifically for media.

The phone seems to be quite robust and (as mentioned above) the battery life is now good - I get about 3 days with normal use between recharges.

All in all, a very good phone with some excellent features. I would highly recommend this phone.

This is a first class handset, it is packed with features and is very easy to use. The camera at 5.0 megapixels is easily good enough to take top class photos and the memory card feature allows you to snap away without worrying about running out of memory.

It can hold loads of MP3 tracks and the media player and supplied earphones allow a quality listening experience. The symbian 60 operating system allows for many software upgrades and there are lots of applications available. To sum up this is one of the best handsets on the market and makes an excellent purchase.

Well, this is certainly a great phone

This is the mobile phone that my wife is currently using. It was mine for a few months, however no matter what phone I get, I am always upgrading and hand them down to her.

Well, this is certainly a great phone, I got this as a refurb upgrade from Vodafone as with many it seems, the first one froze and had to be returned.

Thankfully we have had it a year and have had virtually no problems with it other than she dropped it and it would not fire up. This turned out to be a battery problem so I just purchased a new one and all has been good since.

It is fully loaded with gizmo's which is good however my wife is a techno phobe and most is really wasted on her. It does have a fabulously easy camera and video capability which she finds a breeze to use. The quality is first class and she is in awe of the fact that I can use the supplied cables to view the movies on our TV.

The unit does have Sat Nav loaded onto it as standard, however from the day I got the phone I have had trouble getting it to work. This is why I purchased the phone and I think this is why I got bored with it.

The phone has pretty much stood the test of time so far, apart from the Nokia logo has rubbed off and the slider is somewhat loose now and maybe it is looking a tad tatty.

Overall, a good phone, my wife swore that she would only ever use posy flip phones, however she now wants a Nokia N96 when it comes out...she has been converted to Nokia sliders.

Although larger than most mobile phones, I find the N95 is great as now there's no need to carry around my iPod, sat nav, radio, camera and mobile - all I need is the N95 which has all of the above built in - a great phone.

The 5.0 megapixel camera is great for taking photos of my children when out and about, much better than my previous digital camera, and love the way I can edit the pics - esp. the negative effect.

You won't want to go back to other phones after using the N95

This is the best mobile phone that I have ever had, it does everything I could want from a mobile phone and more, I couldn't imagine having another phone.

Photography: Great camera for a mobile, takes great 5.0 megapixel shots. As a photographer a good camera in a phone is one of my top priorites and this does the job. Lots of advanced control options - amazing for a phone - such as ISO, white balance, mode settings, tone ( b&w, sepia, colour ) and more. You can even do limited photo editing and processing with the phone. Of course, what you can do with the phone in terms of photography is nothing compared to a real camera, but as a carry about phone camera for snap shots it's amazing.

Video: High quality DVD like recording. You can take hours of footage ( assuming you have a big enough memory card, which are cheap, you can get a 4 gig now for like £8 ). People will think that it's taken with a camcorder when you play it to them via the TV which you can do by plugging a supplied cable into the S-Video port on your TV, go out, come back, plug it into TV and watch your home movies, simple as that.

Internet: You can surf the real net, not the crappy wap web sites. I do a lot of surfing on my phone, I'm always looking at web sites during work breaks or when I'm out. It's great, I can check my email, write my blog, upload my photos directly to Flickr with the LifeBlog app on the phone and do almost everything I could do at home with a computer connected to the net in terms of web surfing.

Usability: The menus, keypad, the text message layout - everything is really wonderfully designed. My ONLY little critisism is the fact that they put the "C" delete button so close to the back button so sometimes it's possible to delete a message you were typing ( although it saves it directly to drafts so not too much of a big deal )

LCD display: The LCD display is huge and crystal clear. You won't want to go back to other phones after getting used to the size and clarity of the N95

Third party apps: The phone runs the Symbian OS and you can download much more software to it for pretty much all your needs. For instance I have installed an internet radio directory, much of the software can be found for free.

MP3 player - has a great MP3 player with all the bells and whistles you can expect from one. Works really well, and is LOUD when you play it through the headphones. If you want, you can play your music through the stereo speakers built into the phone.

Looks: - great, and it's very light too.

One myth that I want to dispel is the poor battery life of the N95. The Battery is FINE. You have to take into account that you have a tiny phone with a huge bright display that can run many power hungry apps. You can't expect to surf the web, make a half hour mini documentry, call several friends for a few hours, use the GPS, listen to your MP3 player and expect the battery not to be drained. This is just silly. I think people expect WAY too much. It's a phone, people, it has a tiny battery.

On a normal day I listen to about 2 to 3 hours of music, take a few photos, surf the web for about say 20 minutes, send texts, make calls, and it easily lasts the entire day. I charge mine every day but then I use it very heavily. If you just make a few texts and calls it should last 3 or 4 days without needing charging, maybe longer.

Make sure you're sensible and you will be fine. Don't expect too much from it. One mistake a lot of people make is they don't read the manual and leave applications running. If you surf the web, listen to music - whatever it is press and hold the menu button to bring up a task bar of what's running on the phone and press "C" to shutdown any apps you are not using immediately after you have finished with them - if you don't it WILL run your battery down.

Also, make sure when you first get the phone to leave it on charge overnight before using it and then for the next 3 or 4 charges do the same. I'm not 100 percent sure this makes a difference ( although I have read it does ) but there is no harm in doing it and my phone works fine.

I almost didn't get the Nokia N95 because of the negative things I had read about it. PLEASE do not make this mistake, the battery is fine. If you want a battery that powers your phone for a week or so - that's fine, you can get one, just don't expect it to do all the stuff the Nokia N95 can do.

In summary, I couldn't be without this phone, I highly recommend it.

If you really need all the features, go for it, otherwise take something smaller

Had this mobile phone for over a year now, I am the kind of person who has to have the latest and greatest, I always buy the top of the range, the all singing all dancing maodel and usually find I never use a fraction of the options I have paid for.

The Nokia N95 is no exception, I never use the GPS, the office software etc and to top it all it is big, heavy and ugly, if you really need all the features, go for it, otherwise take something smaller and prettier.

Good handset and I am fairly happy with it

Overall I feel that the Nokia N95 is a good handset and I am fairly happy with it. There are just a few things that I feel should be changed to make it even better.

I feel that when they designed the phone they should have put some glass on the screen as it is easily able to break if dropped, also the battery life is not too amazing on it either.

It is easy to use and has alot of benefits such as the wireless lan and also being able to put videos and music on there too. The phone is quite fast responsive and has alot of menu options which many other phones dont have.

I think this is a big step up from the previous model and they have done a good job of designing it.

Best bit about this mobile is the fact it has Wi-Fi

The best bit about this mobile is the fact it has Wi-Fi which you can use whilst you're away on holiday and save on those expensive roaming charges for using internet on your phone.

Fairly large screen with a good 5.0 megapixel camera which can be turned on straight away by simply opening the camera shutter lense on the rear of the phone, also the benefits of a forward facing screen.

On the downside the handset itself is quite a lot more bulky than others on the market. Battery life isn't the best and will have to be charged fairly regularly, even with light usage. My own handset can also be a little unstable and has been known to turn itself off at times, not figured out why yet.

On the whole though, a good purchase.

Its a fab phone, really nifty, got great features such as the 8G memory, GPS, web and walk and a 5.0 mega pixel camera.

It is ideal for the younger market, the only thing I will say negatively is that once fully charged it can sometimes make a screetchy sound, v.quietly, that may well be my phone but I would not advise leaving it for a huge ammount of time charging.

The camera is a high spec 5.0 megapixels which is excellent considering its a phone first, camera second.

The fm function is good as I use it when going to watch football (excellent reception)overall I would recommend the phone to anyone.

As a business phone it comes in to its own

The phone has many useful features for the user to be two steps ahead of everyone else. As a business phone it comes in to its own.

E-mail, office tools and a great calender to keep you upto date while you are out the office, a GPS function so you can go wherever you want without the fear of getting lost. As a media centre, the phone is second to none. Playing various types of media files and with the large memory availible, you can use the phone as a music player.

The last feature deserving a mention is its built in camera. 5.0 Megapixels with an extensive selection of modes, letting you capture pictures without loosing out on quality.

Battery life issue with the Nokia N95

The battery life in the Nokia N95 does not last long, it is very poor with very few hours only, therefore it forces me to re-charge the poor phone all the time even though I do not use the phone for a whole day, its battery still just runs off.

I am not using many things (features on the phone ie long chatting on phone and not using internet and most features I have switched off.

Camera is just as good as digital Camera's you can buy

Pretty good phone all round really, I would say it's best feature is definitely the camera, it's just as good as small digital cameras you can buy, the video quality is amazing too, there is no distortion at all.

Menus are easy to use, typical Nokia, bit slow, minor detail really, i would deffinatly recommended the N95 from Nokia.

Fantastic phone but let down by poor battery life

Excellent phone overall, there is fantastic online connection compatibility and a fantastic 5.0 megapixel camera which is easily better than some digital cameras, only drawback is that applications don't close unless you specifically exit them and the battery life is poor.

PDA, Digital Camera and MP3 Player all rolled into one

This phone has some fantastic features, the organiser and camera are both excellent, I haven't scored it highly overall because I feel that the other features take away some quality from the phone, I just sometimes feel that it just does too much.

I've had to have my original handset replaced due to problems with the microphone, which seem to be recurring with my new handset. However in this day and age of gadgets, I would rate this right up there, who cares if it isn't the best mobile phone in the world, its a PDA, Digital Camera and MP3 Player all rolled into one and I for one wouldn't be without mine.

One of Nokia's best ever handsets

I know the Nokia N95 is slightly old now but the features on it are still ahead of most of the game and seeing as the price keeps dropping on a contract its an even better choice.

There are still some problems with the battery life, I have my N95 on Orange, had it for almost a year, and I found that by playing with a few of the settings (such as restricting the network to GSM) this increased the battery life to 3/4 days - which is respectable. Smaller things like the screensaver, and not leaving bluetooth on also help as does not using the sat nav too often.

Still even 12 months on I,m made up with my Nokia N95 and I hope that everyone who wants one will be happy too - dont let the initial fairly short battery life put you off, this is in my opinion one of Nokia's best ever handsets

Would recommend getting the hard cover for it

A great phone with excellent picture quality, I have had trouble getting music onto it and also the camera is very slow so the photo you think you've taken may not be the end result. Would recommend getting the hard cover for it - it does make it more bulky but protects the screen.

Looking for my perfect phone and I think I have found it

A very good phone really, top of the range, the only problem I can really see is there are too many features and some of them you may never use.

Battery life is not brilliant, I have to recharge every 4 days and I am not a massive user. The music player is excellent although the sound is not great, it is much better with with speakers.

The camera is a brilliant 5.0 megapixels and takes really clear pictures, ideal if you forget your camera.

I also like the fact that you can set tracks you have loaded on to your phone as ring tones without having to pay for expensive downlaods. This is a big plus point for me. Nice slide design too. I was looking for my perfect phone and I think I have found it.

Phone saves me switching on the laptop

The Nokia N95 is definitely money well spent, I love it's smart, neat exterior and with the GPS, advanced camera capabilites (5.0 megapixels), large internal memory and 3G features I find the phone saving me switching my laptop on, on many an occasion.

Upgrade from Nokia web site corrects previous issues

The N95 is a phone packed with great features. The earlier model had some major problems though ie. poor battery life, keys had a mind of their own. An upgrade from the Nokia site sorts these out though. The screen can be very fragile too so be warned, only a slight knock to the corner of it can be a costly repair. Overall though, not a bad piece of kit!

Keypad and layout of the phone is also excellent

I found the phone quite hard to operate and I think it is definitely designed for the younger users, after a few months now I have just about mastered it.

The photo quality is excellent as is the video and this alone draws me to the phone. The actual keypad and layout of the phone is also excellent.

I feel the N95 from Nokia is the best on the market, with its features and extras, this is a great phone to have, its easy to use and reqular updates come from the Nokia website. The memory is pretty good, 2GB as standard but can be upgraded to 8gb. The camera feature is very good quality.

This particular model is very stylish and smart

I have always used Nokia mobile phones, even though I am 56 years old the Nokia N95 is easy to understand and the booklet is very comprehensive. The quality of pictures taken are very clear, this particular model is very stylish and smart and the instructions actually on the handset are very helpful and easy to understand.

A fab phone thats easy to use

Only just got the Nokia N95 (Black) and I love it, although the keys on it are rather small and I have rather large thumbs, its ok though as you soon adapt to it.

The phone itself is rather chunky, quite a bit so compared to my old phone. I had heard that the battery life wasnt too good in this phone but I have not had a problem with it so far and I am always listening to music on it or talking to people.

All in all a fab phone thats easy to use! thanks Nokia!

Sat nav is very user friendly

N95 is a good phone, has a fantastic web browser but does tend to crash from time to time. Voice dailing always seems to say system error but the Sat nav is very user friendly. Movie maker is less user friendly than the N73. A+ 5 MEGA PIXEL camera is great but the zoom feature could do with some improvements.

Poor battery life solved with V21 firmware from Nokia

Excellent phone with numerous uses, had mine 5 months without any problems.

Phone was let down by very poor battery life, but since Nokia released v21 firmware update this has greatly improved.

5.0 Megapixel Camera is excellent quality, but shutter speed is very slow. Plenty of memory to add for the numerous numbers of games and applications that can be downloaded or purchased.

Nokia Maps has just been improved with version 2.0 and finding a GPS "lock" seems to be much quicker and reliable, also Garmin have a N95 program that can be purchased, but its not cheap.

In my opinion if you need a good quality phone with a stack of fantastic features, this is the one to go for.

When I first read up on the Nokia N95 I was amazed by it's hi-tech features and after many months of wanting and waiting the big day arrived and I got myself one.

It is everything I hoped for, its miles away from anything else on the market. 10/10

Negative: Battery life

The battery life is dreadful, otherwise great phone, internet browser works well and is easy to use, email is convenient, camera is excellent. The system memory quickly fills up

The Nokia N95 is a very stylish phone, the features are excellent, I have printed off the photo's taken and they are of excellent quality.

However without a memory card (I was lucky to get mine with the phone), the system memory quickly fills up (now replaced by the 8GB version).

Also the covering on the keypad scratches off easy and I have had to replace the battery cover. A good phone however a few design flaws need to be ironed out which is why I shall not be upgrading to the 8GB version.

The camera and video functions are first rate.

Very clever phone, but so many features that it can get a bit confusing. I found some of the features are very difficult to fathom and set up/use.

My main gripe about the phone is the poor build quality. Considering the high price, the front cover and buttons are very cheap and flimsy - they scratch very easily and quite quickly look very tatty.

The battery is also woefully inadequate for the features the phone runs - I need to charge mine almost every day. That said, it is a really good phone overall - the camera and video functions are first rate.

You have to pay to download maps and to use the sat nav service

I purchased the N95 mainly because it had sat nav built in the phone and I travel alot. I eventually found out that even though sat nav is built into the phone you have to pay to download maps and to use the sat nav service.

The instructions in the manual arent quite good either so I would advise going into a local phone shop and ask an advisor to help you use the phone.

2months into my contract my phone cuts out every so often even if I'm on a call or using my camera the whole phone goes completely blank and I have too take out my battery and sim to enable my phone to go on.

Therefore I have to input the date and time etc and even then I lose my data in my phone. Apparently when I phoned Orange there is a problem with the software and it can be downloaded onto a pc then via cable into your phone, when i followed this procedure it didnt work so im still with a phone that cuts out on me.

A very good phone with a multitude of features

The N95 is a very good phone with a multitude of features:

The camera I found to be excellent giving very good picture quality both in still and video mode.

The GPS was very easy to use and reasonably accurate, the only drawback was trying to download the maps to the phone. It took me a couple of attempts before it transferred across successfully but I had to pick which maps I wanted on the memory card due to the size of the files as they wouldn't all fit on the card.

The biggest drawback with the phone was its power usage, even when I wasn't using any of the applications on it, it needs to be charged at least once sometimes twice a day.

Nokia N95, an excellent choice

This phone is an excellent choice. It features a good solid design and the menus are easy to navigate. The best feature is the built in GPS which plots your location on a map similar to google maps. You can plan routes to other locations and can follow the direction like the routefinders or your position on the map is tracked as you go. You can pay extra for voice navigation, but the built in maps are sufficient.

I also like the calendar/reminders which are easy to set up and use. The camera however, I am not that impressed with. It seems to take a while to take a picture and as a consequence pictures can often be blurred. However I would still recommend this phone.

I was overwhelmed by the gadgets and features

I bought my Nokia N95 a couple of months ago, I was undecided between the Nokia N95 and the LG Viewty but I decided on the Nokia.

When I got the phone I was overwhelmed by the gadgets and features. I think the best features are the 5.0 megapixel camera, the sat-nav application and the Wi-Fi connectivity so you can access the Internet for free easily.

The sat-nav application is very easy to use, when you switch it on your GPS position comes on so you can see where you are. Then you just open the adress book and it asks for a postcode, street name and city. You just type it in and it will navigate you to the place.

Overall I am very happy with this phone, I would recommend it to everyone looking for a new phone.

Very sturdy, easy to use, crammed full of features!

This handset has been around for some time now but is still among the market leaders.

I bought this phone for my son almost 2 years ago and he still prefers this handset to most on the market.

It is a sturdy phone as demonstrated by my son as it has had its fair share of knocks and bumps and still looks as new as when bought.

Crammed full of features from mobile broadband, 5 mega pixel camera, blue-tooth (allowing you to transfer data between compatible blue-tooth devices for free), excellent video camera, tv and an fm radio plus many more features. The phone is also very easy to use my 98 year old grandmother could use it.

What a great phone

Nokia N95, what a phone, all the most useful features of any competitor product around only with bags more capability.

The 5.0 mega pixel camera can be slow to react on times especially in low lighting conditions but the quality is fantastic. The built in sat nav is more than functional - not as good as a stand alone TomTom but the TomTom doesn't have any of the other features of the N95. The music quality is excellent and with a 2gb memory card, the phone becomes more than a match for most MP3 player. I,m am looking forward to the Nokia N96

Nice big screen but doesn't hold charge well when lots of calls

Its a bit too big and heavy for me but then the screen size is handy.

It doesn't hold its charge very well and I am charging it every other day and I rarely use it. If I use it for more than a few calls a day it has to be charged every day.

The internet is good and fast.

Whilst the 5mp camera takes good quality photos the shutter speed is very slow.

Arguably the best looking phone on the market and the features on it are second to none.

However the looks are deceiving, because nokia have loaded too many features on it and the battery and the phone cannot cope.

A Real Winner

I've been a regular changer of my mobile for the last 15 years, and whilst I craved a iphone the finances weren't there. So I snaffled myself a decent deal on an N95 and have never looked back. it's easy to use, has loads of additional features that have really made a difference to my usage and so it seems everyone is winning. I'm using it more so O2 must be happy and I feel more at ease with the phone and the technology on offer than ever before.

A real winner

The N95 isn't a bad phone, it's jam packed with some fab features, such as light sensing, a monster 5mpixel camera, full Wi-Fi and, get this - built in GPS and maps!

Who needs a tom tom?

Personally, I find it a bit bulky, and the battery life will only last you one day with decent usage (it won't last through the second day, anyway). Overall, it's a good, feature packed phone, but I'd happily sacrifice some of the features for a little bit less bulk and a little bit more battery life. If you like your gadgets, you'll love it, it's much more powerful than the iPhone, if perhaps not quite so stylish and desirable.

Dont think you can get a better phone at the moment

I absolutely love this mobile phone!!! SIMPLE AS!!!

This mobile phone has everything you will ever need (until they come up with something else to stick in phones).

I read lots of reviews about this mobile phone on the internet before buying it and quite a few people moaned about the battery life on this thing. What a rubbish comment. Yes of course a phone is going to run flat if you use it constantly. Like always just charge it each evening.

I dont think you can get a better phone at the moment the nokia n95 just owns them all. Im finding the samsung phones these days too fiddley. I just love the powerful features this N95 has.

I would certainly choose the Nokia N95 again... no hesitation!

I love my Nokia N95!!! It has all the features I will ever need. Yes some people moan about the battery life on this phone but I have no such gripes as I charge my phone every night while in bed. Obviously if you use the advanced features on this mobile away from just using it for phone calls then it will eat the battery.

The N95 has too many features to list but my favourites include the 5 megapixel camera (which takes excellent shots), the GPS navigation and WLAN. This phone is packed with useful features. I would imagine something for everyone.

If I was back in the market for another mobile phone I would certainly choose the Nokia N95 again... no hesitation!
