Nokia 6650 Reviews

The Nokia 6650 is exclusive to T-Mobile. It is a stylish flip phone which offers all the features you could need. Flip open the Nokia 6650 and you will find a 2.2” display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and a smaller display on the outside with dedicated media keys. The handset has GPS with Nokia maps pre-installed, FM radio, MP3 player, 2 megapixel camera with flash and 4x zoom. With high-quality internet surfing experience you can check your email whenever you like.
the first one was sent back with a software fault
On my second handset now, the first one was sent back with a software fault, it kept telling me CSUIRV something or other which nobody seems to know about.
The only thing I have done with handset is sent texts and made calls, I havent even used the camera. One thing I noticed is that when I drive I keep my phone on the dashboard by the speedo and when I have looked at it the lights on the keypad never go out with the clam shell closed (you can see straight through there at certain angles) so this obviously not doing my battery any good.
Also when I go to make a call it takes a good 30 to 40 seconds after it says dialling to actually start ringing the person I'm trying to dial (this happens with every call no matter wat the number).
After many hours of pointless phone calls to T-Mobile they still insist that they only provide the sim card and the talk time and the handset is actually nothing to do with them, after 5 weeks with some grotty old loan phone from the shop I have had a new 6650 handset and it has exactly the same problem as the old one.
experienced two fatal hardware faults on two consecutive handsets
Terrible phone, which is a shame considering its incredible range of features. The handset is slim, reasonably well built, and with GPS built in - which is great for both standalone use as a GPS and with the Nokia Maps navigation pack which comes free for 6 months with T-Mobile. The phone also has HSDPA which gives fast mobile internet speeds, and a decent 1GB memory.
However, all of this is irrelevant, as Nokia have rushed the handset to market too quickly, using a Hungarian production facility for the product. I have experienced two fatal hardware faults on two consecutive handsets before returning the second to T-Mobile to be replaced by a much more reliable Samsung model.
The hardware faults were both the same on the two handsets I had - within 24 hours of use, a white screen moment, followed by a very hot back to the phone - presumably the battery, and the phone dies. I'm assuming some sort of short in the phone, since the failures were both accompanied by electronic burning smells.
When I returned the phone, I was told that many more handsets have been returned for other reasons including faulty buttons, faulty batteries and problems with the memory. I was also massively disappointed with the camera, which was pretty dire considering the competition these days.
This is a real shame as Nokia were onto something by offering such a massive array of features on a relatively compact 3G handset.
My experience has put me off getting a Nokia again, and I'm left asking myself what happened to that great company that used to produce handsets built like tanks with battery lives of months on end, like the 6310i.
Shame Nokia, if you can fix the problems with the handset it will be a winner. For now it's a piece of junk that's supposedly 100% recyclable, so at least that's one thing in its favour.
it is a little but ugly looking mobile phone
I think the Nokia 6650 is an ok phone, had a few problems installing programs from my computer, the camera on the other hand isnt very good at all, it is a little but ugly looking mobile phone, it also runs out of charge really quick, overall I wouldnt recommend it.

Mobile phones are constantly being updated in a constantly evolving industry with huge demands. Where camera phones go up by the megapixel on a monthly basis and the next big feature just around the corner, it certainly can be confusing finding the right mobile phone.
Most handsets now could be classed as 'smart phones' based on where mobile phones were a few years ago with the current crop of buzz words - 3G, HSPDA, megapixel, social networking, apps, A-GPS and more. Thats why reading impartial user reviews is the best way of deciding what phone to buy next!
