with facebook enabled and sat nav to go I love it!

After having 4 phones in the past few months I decided to go back to the trusty Nokia! And as usual it does not disappoint - with facebook enabled and sat nav to go I love it! Easy buttons, no touch screen which freezes all the time and quick screen changes.

It looks small and compact, but it is an incredibly powerful device

Firstly for you music fans, this phone can be fitted with a micro SD card, in my case I fitted it with an 8GB card which can hold hours worth of music to listen to. The music player is excellent and I haven't had it crash yet, unlike other phones that I have owned.

For business users, the phone can be synchronised with a PC/Notebook using Nokia's PC sync, it can do this via the data cable or via Bluetooth, ensuring that your contacts, calendar entries and notes are all up-to-date and that you never miss an appointment that you have put in Outlook and transferred across.

The phone has a loudspeaker which gives you instant hands free calling functionality.

I feel that this phone is excellent value for money and would place it in the "low-mid-range" price wise for phones on the market today. It looks small and compact, but it is an incredibly powerful device that I personally would feel lost without.

slide mechanism became loose very early into the contract

I have had the 6600 slide for 18 months now, this is the worst phone I have ever had, my contract is now finished and I cant wait to get a new phone. The slide mechanism became loose very early into the contract, the keys often freeze and it is generally very slow, wouldnt recommend, for a Nokia I dont think it is very robust and the case has scratched very easily it has made me think twice about having a Nokia phone again.

an all round lovely little phone

A very good looking phone, very easy to use, only one problem is it freezes occasionally when looking through photos and the battery needs taking out to reset it. Good camera, it has maps, music, different themes, easy to customise. Its an all round lovely little phone.

'double-tap' screen to show you the time is a nice touch

This phone is stylish and works very well. The applications are all easy to access and the novelty 'double-tap' screen to show you the time is a nice touch. The top three buttons on the slide out keypad (123) are slightly too close to the bottom of the phone for complete ease of texting, but after a while this can be gotten used to. The phone is a comfortable weight and size.

My only problem with this phone is it's durability. All of my previous Nokia phones have withstood a lot, however I dropped this phone once on a lino floor and the LCD display cracked and bled meaning that I could no longer see anything on the screen.

If this had not occured I would be strongly recommending this phone but now would only suggest it with caution.

looks nice but I have a few issues with it

Phone looks nice but there are a few issues with it
1. The backlight is dull and doesn't stay on for long enough. 2. The keys are too small - I have small hands anyway but they are too small to text easily and comfortable. 3. It's a heavy phone - at the top, so when texting it's easily dropped 4. It sometimes cuts out mid-text - like it flashes off then on again
5. The ringing volume is really quiet 6. Battery life is too short (light-med user, I need to recharge every two days) Aside from that it's ok - prob wouldn't buy again.

Quite a good camera also has a radio and mp3 player

This is one of the best mobile phones I have purchased, simple to use, easy to text and has all the features that most of other phones have and the battery life is excellent. Quite a good camera also has a radio and mp3 player, connects to any bluetooth easily and has internet access if required.

Memory too small already had too increase it

Lightweight, fairly easy to use. Fits nicely into purse or pocket. Seems to send blank messages too easily, although this could be because I am still finding my way around using it. Camera good, but again having some trouble using zoom functions.
Memory too small already had too increase it.

easy to use, but I don't like the charger

I find this easy to use, but I don't like the charger. I have already had to replace it in less than 2 months as the narrow end broke off. The battery doesn't hold it's charge very long especially when using bluetooth. Easy to synchronise with my computer. The alarm tone fails to wake me.
I don't use half the functions this phone offers but they are really comprehensive. On balance I preferred the N73 that I replaced.

I'm 100% happy with it

I have had this phone now for 4 months, I'm really happy with it, it has all the mod cons that I need and I'm 100% happy with it, would recommend it to anyone. The buttons on the phone are the right size for anyone even those who have bigger fingers, easy to use no problems from me.

the 6500 slide has changed my mind completley

I have always been a massive fan of Nokia phones and as a fan I could live with the little quirks and faults that come with a Nokia phone. However the 6500 slide has changed my mind completley, I am now on my 4th handset and god this phone has problems.

The main fault is a bizarre software fault which apparently effects over 50% of these handsets sold. The fault causes the phone to work on its own so it's like watching a haunted phone. You will see your menus being opened, an image being selected and cropped and then sent to random recipients.

My first phone was returned to Nokia and in total I have now had the pleasure of returning my phones over 20 times and being replaced 4 times. Apart from that its a lovely phone, so if you are looking for something to scare your friends and family then this is the phone for you.

are moments when sometimes you cannot press any buttons

I bought the phone from Argos for £100 pounds about 6 months ago. Its one of the largest phones I've ever owned! However, there is one thing that has really bugged me about the phone. That is that it keeps freezing. There are moments of about 1 minute sometimes where you cannot press any buttons. It has happened a few times when you are trying to answer a call, and miss it. Everything else is fine!

nice big screen made photos nice and clear to view

I have always had Nokia mobile phones but I have to say this has been my least favorite. Once opened the top buttons are hard to reach and it wasn't long before I had to have it repaired because the slide opening wasnt working. The only bonus was that it has all of the usual Nokia's features so it was easy to find where everything was and the nice big screen made photos nice and clear to view.

Nokia 6600 slide phone is superb, small and stylish

The Nokia 6600 slide phone is superb, small and stylish, will fit into your hand and pocket with ease! It features a 3.2 mega pixel camera and has a touch sensitive clock feature. It is very lightweight you wouldnt know it was there, also has an MP3 player, video capture facility and is so easy to use.

buttons are a bit small though, so frequently hitting the wrong keys

Brilliant phone, buttons are a bit small though, so frequently hitting the wrong keys! Camera produces a real clear picture, though the flash light does not stay on for very long. The phone is very stylish and has a very modern look to it. I thoroughly recommend it.

had a few difficulties since then which has cause me grief

This model seemed great when I purchased same but unfortunately I have had a few difficulties since then which has cause me grief. The handset is playing up and this is causing me a great nuisance as I need my phone for business and pleasure. I have had previous Nokia handsets though and have never encountered any problems before this.

I keep catching the volume/camera button

Really good phone, easy to use menus, plenty of memory to keep music on, the only thing that I can fault is that the buttons are quite small and hard to press and I keep catching the volume/camera button on the side of the phones. I would recommend this phone to a friend.
