One thing missing for me though, a radio
I found the Nokia 6500 classic generally good. A simple to use Nokia phone with thin slick black design. Fully controlled from front keypad, no confusing side buttons, camera is very simple to use. Charger, Printer etc all plug into the same port. One thing missing for me though, a radio.
if you want a good, solid phone that will last you
One of the best phones I've had. Proves you can't go wrong with a Nokia. Good memory, good battery power/durability, easy to use, good size keys. Decent camera, good range of extras, e.g. games. Not as pretty as some phones but would definitely recommend if you want a good, solid phone that will last you.
phone is easy to use and it looks sleek and sophisticated
I have just recently bought this mobile phone and I am really pleased with it. It has everything you need and a huge in built memory which is great for people who like to take and hold onto pictures. The phone is easy to use and it looks sleek and sophisticated.
a great phone overall, has no FM Radio though
It has a simple and stylish design, excellent material, it`s all metal, nothing plastic, light and slim.
As any Nokia, very simple to use, but make sure you don`t have too thick fingers otherwise you`ll have to spend some time trying to use the keypad properly.
The 2.0 megapixel camera with flash allows you to take excellent quality pictures, however indoor pictures generally results in poor quality.
About features, the only thing to highlight is the absence of an FM radio. The MP3 player has a reasonable sound quality. Overall, is a great phone.
may claim that it has a radio, in fact it does not
On the face of it this seems to be a very attractive and easy to use phone. However, the potential buyer should be aware that even though O2 shops may claim that it has a radio, in fact it does not. It is a bit fiddly to use when texting, the appearance is a plus point though.
Simple phone with good basic features
It's slim, easy to use, but does look a bit boring, but for a simple phone with most of the latest features, it's a good option. There are limited themes to choose from though, they are a bit boring and un-imaginiative. The same goes for the standard ringtones, there isnt much choice.
Awkward to use, layout is poor, makes texting difficult
This phone can only be described as awkward to use, the buttons are an odd design which makes it difficult to text easily.
The features are OK - camera not of the best quality, bluetooth, plays music etc but the main problem is the buttons for texting. They're too close together and are prone to sticking. Extremely annoying.
Excellent phone, great all rounder
Excellent phone, great all rounder, the only problem I find is when you want to send a text to lots of people, it's tedious and time consuming, you can make caller groups but if the person who originally sent the text that you want to send out is within that group, it's sent back to them, Samsung have a much better way by clicking on each name you want to use.
truly delighted by the new Nokia 6500 Classic
I am truly delighted by the new Nokia 6500 Classic I received late last month. The feel and design of the phone makes it an instant classic. The buttons are responsive and the menu system is so easy to use. The only negative point is the battery life, it does require frequent charges. However, this negative is easily put to shame by the huge positives of this phone. Overall its highly recommended
for someone who intends to store images and video its great
I recently bought the Nokia 6500 Classic and I must say I`m quite happy with it. The design and the large screen, which allows me to watch my images properly are simply amazing, battery life, like most of the Nokia's is quite good.
The 2.0 Megapixel camera has also great quality and includes flash. Memory 1GB is really too much for me, but for someone who intends to store images and video its great but note the memory is not expandable. The MP3 player is also of good quality, but the lack of a FM radio is an issue, overall though I am very pleased with the phone.
Cannot hold its signal and generally has very poor reception
My Nokia 6500 cannot hold its signal and generally has very poor reception. It is often necessary to switch off and back on again in order to prompt the phone to search for a signal.
My network operator has admitted that this is a known fault with many Nokia 6500 classics and that a software fix will be made available "at some point in the future, but we cannot guarantee when". The signal problem effectively renders the handset useless.
Its slim, sleek and gorgeous
I got the Nokia 6500 Classic a week ago and am really pleased with it. Its slim, sleek and gorgeous. The battery life is fine, I had read its not that good but it seems no different to my old phone. The camera is great. The phone itself is easy to use. I love it!
The only problem is the battery life is terrible
This phone is a great all rounder and comes with excellent features and 1 gig on board memory, with this memory it is easy to save all of your favourite tracks or pictures.
Also the phone is really easy to use and has all the features you need. The only problem is the battery life is terrible.
Performs well overall
The Nokia 6500 Classic is a great phone which performs well overall.
It has an inbuilt camera and a decent mp3 player and also comes with 1 gig memory so you can fit alot of music onto it.
The only problems are the headphone jack is bulky and the battery life is very poor.
Poor battery, overheated, could be faulty
Very poor battery life - could only make 1 call before it needed recharging.
Also the phone gets very hot when using.
Could have been faulty - but my partners was also poor for battery life. We sent them both back and are trying to decide what to try next!!
I am very impressed
I have just gotten my Nokia 6500 Classic in the last few days and given it a good run out.
So far I am very impressed. The mobiles features are very good and pretty easy to use. I have always liked Nokia phones and this one is nicely designed.
Its extremely thin and a nice size to hold. The screen is a nice size as well. The black finishing looks very nice.
So far I would recommend the 6500 classic to my friends. Top marks Nokia!
