The design is smart and looks very professional
This phone is very easy to use and is also very hard wearing, I have dropped mine so many times and it still works and it doesn't look too damaged. This phone is perfect for a first phone or for someone who just wants a phone that is easy to use. The design is smart and looks very professional. Wouldn't look out of place with a suit.
Side feature alerts for messages or calls is new and very useful
I have had this phone for 3 weeks. The sound quality is crystal clear. The flashing blue lights on the side of the phone let you know if you have missed a call or received a message, this is really cool and useful. The camera is not brilliant but the memory is good. Overall its a good buy.
menu system is easy to use and all of the extras are very good
I have found this phone very easy to use, which is good as I dont like using phones. The menu system is easy to use and all of the extras are very good. I use my phone abroad alot and it never has a problem locating a new netork to use for me to make and receive calls or to send or receive text.
The price is extremely reasonable and I have come to love it
A simple great reliable phone which I have now had for over a year. It hasn't broken on me once yet and for a phone I think this is very good. The price is extremely reasonable and I have come to love it. A couple of minor hitches though, isn't the prettiest mobile phone and a little short on features.
battery time isnt good, but the actual charging is very very fast
This phone has a nice sleek look, but the thin back gets scratched very easily. The look is slim and has two blue lights either side, for calls and texts, etc.
The phone is quite confusing to start with, as in getting to apps, the memory card etc, also if you remove the SD card at anytime, it can mess up the phone's settings, which is'nt good.
The screen is big, which gives better views for everything and pictures etc. The phone only takes .jar file and not .sis files so you are limited to software for your phone.
The speaker is on the back of the phone, it is loud, but there is just the one so it is monophonic. The battery time isnt good, it last me two days normally, so I charge it every night, but the charging is very very fast.
Overall it is good, but something is missing.
doesn't suffer from over features or over design
If you're looking for a standard phone that is durable, slim, sleek and easy to use this phone hits all that. The battery life is great, messaging is as standard to any Nokia and has a 2.0 megapixel camera.
It's thin, reliable and you get my point, it doesn't suffer from over features or over design. Its basic and smart and thats why it's so popular and appeals to all demographic groups. I've had many phones in my time - flip, slide, touch screen... and this basic Nokia is better than all of those by far, it's great...
excellent value for the £49 it cost me
I have had this phone for 2 weeks via Tesco pay as you go and find it excellent value for the £49 it cost me. The phone has all the features expected - the bluetooth connection works much better than my previous phone. The screen is really clear and the camera produces very reasonable quality resolution pictures.
Screen size good, very lightweight and durable
All in all a neat little phone with some great features - 2megapix camera, web n walk (although annoying as this frequently tries to connect as there is a shortcut web n walk button on the display screen). Buttons are good size and rarely make mistakes. Screen size also good and very lightweight and durable, a good choice.
Very pleased with the 6300 from Nokia
On the whole very pleased with the mobile phone that I have and would buy the same model again. Being new to mobile phone technology having only just recently returned to the UK I found that the instruction book with the phone was very helpful. Would be happier if the keys were slightly bigger but that might be because I am not used to keys being so close together.
may lack in features and power but does the basics well
Simplicity and reliability are what I associate with most Nokia's and this is no different. It may lack in features and power but does the basics well, has a good to average camara, extremly easy to use and if its durability that your looking for you cant go wrong with the 6300 or most of the none slide/flip Nokia's.
very good phone, it is good value for money
This is a very good phone, it is good value for money. The screen is large and clear, the colour is excellent. It has a camera, radio (very handy), internet access. It looks nice, thin and stylish. (One downside: screen scratches easily, so don't keep it in a pocket with keys.)
easy to customise, and has a reasonable camera on it
This is an excellent phone. I got it free on a plan at T-Mobile and it's really good. It's easy to use and has great features like calendar reminders and notes. The texting section is also very easy to use. It is also easy to customise, and has a reasonable camera on it.
memory card in the phone so it can hold a reasonable amount of music
This is a really good phone, had it for nearly a year now and it does exactly what I want it to do. The design is simple, the basic commands are very easy to use, there is a removable memory card in the phone so it can hold a reasonable amount of music, videos and pictures!
what it lacks in looks it makes up for in features
The Nokia 6300 may look like a very basic phone but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in features. It has a excellent camera, the pictures come out very clear, space for a memory card so you can store hundreds of songs and play them through the music player and use the phone like a iPod and you wont miss calls as the music pauses when a call comes through.
It also has MMS capabilities, bluetooth and all the usual facilities that we expect from a modern mobile phone. I would highly reccomend it and the best thing is that it is very reasonable on the price too.
Nokia 6300 has lots of memory and a very long battery life
This is a great and easy to use phone with many features. The Nokia 6300 has lots of memory and a very long battery life. I have now had this phone for 14 months and is in excellent condition (unlike my old phones which got damaged and scratched every time I put it in my bag) I would not recommend this phone if you take alot of photos as the picture quality can be poor.
especially like the longevity of the Nokia 6300 battery life
I will only ever purchase a Nokia mobie phone. The 6300 is easy to use and navigate. It is reliable, functional and offers excellent picture taking and reception.
The reception is excellent and has a stylish, modern design. I especially like the longevity of the Nokia 6300 battery life, even with the screen saver active.
Despite the 6300 not being the newest in the series, it is truely a fantastic phone and I rate it highly.
slim, has great features and is super easy to use
I'm not normally a fan of the Nokia's but this one is awesome. Its slim, has great features and is super easy to use. It fits perfectly in my suit pocket and I love the weight of the aluminium casing. My only gripe with the phone is that the camera and video are fairly basic. Would have been a perfect phone if the camera/video specs were say 3.0 megpixels. Overall excellent phone.
phone can still be found on some very attractive deals
I am coming to the end of my contract with this phone on Virgin Mobile, I have generally enjoyed using it.
An attractive and stylish phone, the phone does have some interesting features which I have been unable to use - The one that I thought would have been useful is PTT talk - Walkie Talkie. This function was not supported.
The Camera is average - I never really got good crisp results but as I am a photographer I managed to get some interesting "arty" shots. Don't rely on it though for taking sharp images.
Texting took a little while to get used to and the predictive text would often suggest some interesting words. Indeed, the dictionary would often not find perfectly valid words. This phone can still be found on some very attractive deals.
phone that works fast and isn't full of unnecessary features
Small, sleek phone, easy to use in terms of the menu and the buttons. Occasional faults seem to develop, mine recently kept resetting itself although this fault was fixed quickly and easily by Orange. All in all, a straightforward phone which does the job it's supposed to, perfect if you want a phone that works fast and isn't full of unnecessary features.
so many names saved, it will not let you save anymore to the sim card
All in all I like this phone a lot, however, my only gripe would be that when you have so many names saved into your phone, it will not let you save to sim anymore and automatically saves to the phone. Hence if you take the sim out, you lose numbers.
The Nokia 6300 has everything I was looking for
This mobile phone reflects how Nokia used to be. Good quality, easy to use phone. it has everything I was looking for, bluetooth, camera (which isnt the best but good enough for quick snaps) radio, MP3 player. The biggest downfall about this phone is the battery life, I have to charge it every other day, but that could be because I play tetris on it quite often.
Overall I am very pleased with the package
This is the first phone I've had on contract. (With Orange.) Its not too small, is light and easy to use. The only problem I have with it is diffuctly picking up a signal in the New Forest and Bath areas. (network issue) The camera facility is good. The unit itself is very robust. Overall I am very pleased with the package.
impressed with this phone overall, very intuitive and easy to use
Very impressed with this phone overall. Generally very intuitive and easy to use, bar the often accidental sending of a text message before I've finished it (though this is easy to cancel before it is sent).
The camera quality is also pretty good, though needs a lot of light, but what can you expect from an inexpensive camera phone?
Alert tones are generally not loud enough (compared to the older Nokia's that could make you jump!) even though I have them on the highest setting, but it does make it more discreet at least. Nice sound quality though and being able to listen to the radio is a real plus too.
Overall I am pretty impressed bar the niggles outlined above.
meets all your basic mobile needs with quality and ease, go for the fab 6300
I decided to go back to Nokia after some less than successful dalliances with Motorola and Samsung. I was attracted to the 6300 by its sleek design, large colour screen and great features.
It has a metal surround with black edging and easy to use, well-spaced keys. The large screen makes it easy to navigate around the various features and sections of the phone which includes a music player and great camera.
I am not a great tech-wiz when it comes to phones and like Nokia's because they are so straightforward to use. I was not disappointed in this aspect with the 6300 which has standard messaging options, great web navigation and all the standard features you would expect.
The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of games as these have to be downloaded, but that it is a small gripe. I have seen a lot of people with this phone and its popularity is understandable.
Battery life is very good and mine has lasted up to 4 days between charging, although average use would probably need every couple of days.
I got a great deal on O2 with this phone which included a free laptop.
If you are looking for something with a modern look and feel which meets all your basic mobile needs with quality and ease, go for the fab 6300.
I like it, it's neat, cool and easy to use
I like it, it's neat, cool and easy to use. This is the first time I have had a Nokia because I found them difficult before. But the 6300 is easy. I learned how to use it without reading the manual. It seems to store a lot of text messages and the battery has lasted well. Have had this phone nearly 1 year. Would recommend it to anyone.
highly recommend, it is a very simple phone to use
This is a great phone that I would highly recommend, it is a very simple phone to use. Even if you have had a totally different phone from it and you think it will take you ages to get used to it but it doesn't. I found it so easy to use. The features on it are all features you will use and expect which is good. But there is nothing special about them. It also has a great design.
numbers on the left hand side are a bit tight to use
Decent phone but numbers on the left hand side are a bit tight to use, you can often press the wrong number due to the design, bigger keypads would be better. On the 3 mobile network I find that internet access is is very slow, also reception seems to be very poor especially in enclosed areas.
good functional phone for personal and business use.
A good functional phone for personal and business use. The functions are easy to access and easy to use. Those I don't use seem to be easy to understand on reading the manual and scrolling through the icons. I'd recommend this phone for anyone wanting a simple functional phone.
Nokia have made something rare - a phone I still love after 6 months
I have had the 6300 from Nokia for 15 months now and normally after 6 months I am fed up and am looking for something new, but with this one Nokia have, in my opinion, made something rare - a phone I still love.
The size of the phone is perfect and it fits well in your hand, as well as being easy to navigate and use.
One feature which I have liked is the huge memory - I currently have over 1400 text messages in it - better than the 20 messages I got in my previous phone.
I have found this phone fab in every way - it even survived when it fell in a bowl of water. I would recommend this phone in every way
a very useable compact, lightweight handset
Quite a basic phone but a very useable compact, lightweight handset. The address book is simple and stores lots of info including numbers, addresses and email addresses. The camera produces poor results but the memory size is excellent for receiving images.
Mobile phone for people who dont want something too flash
Excellent mobile phone for people who dont want something too flash. The camera is not brilliant but all other features are quite good. Memory can be upgraded to about 1GB but this does result in the phone slowing down a bit, would definetly recommend it though.
A well thought out phone with a nice and simple user interface
The Nokia 6300 is a well thought out phone with a nice and simple user interface, very much standard Nokia operation.
Only real negative that I can really come up with is that the camera function is rather poor in dim light areas. Overall I've had mine for a little over a year now and see no real reason to rush out to get a new phone.
A quality mobile phone without the need to break the bank
Strengths, slim, attractive design, making it easy to fit in pocket. Keypad numbers are not too small as on some phones and are easily accessible. Easy to use menu with all mod-cons including bluetooth, video, camera etc. Weaknesses, as with most Nokia's the camera (2MP) leaves a bit to be desired.
Overall, a quality phone without the need to break the bank for!
The quality of the camera and screen are very good
I don't actually own this mobile, my dad does. But I have used it numerous times and find that it can be difficult to navigate your way through the stuff on there but the quality of the camera and screen are very good. I am so jealous of my dad now, I really want his phone, I would buy one if I had the money.
My best Nokia mobile phone to date
I have always had Nokia mobile phones and find them extremely easy to use and particularly to navigate the menus and make it do what you want it to do. It may be because that I have had several, that it seems easy, but I find them very user friendly.
This is my favourite phone far, the graphics and colours on the screen are excellent. The camera takes good photos and there is a lot of memory for storing everything.
The only problem I have had is that I dropeed it once, and the screen stopped working completely. However, it was covered by the Nokia manufacturer's warranty, so although I didn't have insurance from the phone company, it was still repaired for free by Nokia themselves.
Next time I will be rather more selective
On my last Vodafone contract I had a Nokia 6230i which was very straightforward with a very logical method of operation. Regrettably it got drowned and I was due for an upgrade anyway so was recommended a Nokia 6300 by the Vodafone shop as being the nearest equivalent model.
Of course this was nonsense, firstly I discovered that none of my previous mains or car chargers were going to work with the 6300 so I would have to buy new sets at £20 per pop. I have been using mobile phones for the last 20 years and to say that this is the worst phone to operate would be an understatement.
None of the functions work in a useable way, none of the functions are sequenced in a way or an order in which I want to use them. It switches features as though it has a mind of its own. It switched to silent operation without the feature being selected, it fails to ring on incoming calls on occasions.
Despite the fact that I have always had a Nokia phone this is the last one. Next time I will be rather more selective and choose a manufacturer who produces a phone which matches my requirements precisely rather than this rubbish thing.
Easy to use and customize, a popular handset at the moment
The Nokia 6300 is easy to use and customize, great colour screen with the possibility of using the camera facility to create screensavers etc to customize your phone.
Possibility to buy extra memory for the phone meaning you can store many songs, photos and videos. Sleek and simplistic design, good value for money. Only downside is everyone seems to have a Nokia 6300
This is my 3rd Nokia phone and I trust this brand
I have had my Nokia 6300 for 5 months now, I am mostly happy with it. This is my 3rd Nokia phone and I trust this brand, the camera and video is of great quality, the phone is very easy to use.
One of the things I dis-like is the predictive text, it doesn't always find the word you are looking for so have to spell the word, this can often happen with words that are quite common.
The phone has a great memory, I have got quite a few songs stored on the phone, the quality of playback is excellent, radio also available.
Good memory, decent camera, long battery life, and well made
This is a great phone, good memory, decent camera, long battery life, and well made, it has many different features like bluetooth, radio and calender which all work very well. Light and easy to use, with great design and colour. I would recommend this phone to anyone.
Simple phone to use with the usual Nokia functions
A really simple phone to use with the usual Nokia functions but could do with features that current models are pre-installed with i.e. MP4 player. Bluetooth, MP3, 2.0 megapixel camera all come with this well sized phone (not too heavy or large).
Have to admit I find it a cracking little phone and can be found in many places on a 'free with contract' offer.
Camera isnt great and the charger component could be more robust
This is a good handset but could do with a few more applications on it. The camera quality is not that good but is satisfactory and the charger pins are very flimsy, I have gone through 2 in the past six months, they snap very easy. The weight and size of the handset is ideal for me.
Easy to navigate the menu, everything is very clearly marked
I find it very easy to navigate the menu, everything is very clearly marked on the phone. The design of the phone looks very basic but you shouldnt be put off by that, the features are like most other Nokia mobile phones and most of the navigation is the same too.
Overall I would say the phone is a good choice for adults and older children alike as it's fairly simple to use. The only thing I can say to be wary of is to always make sure the keypad is locked as it's very easy to open menu's and make unexpected calls if not.
Very happy customer with this phone and would recommend it
I have had the Nokia 6300 for a few months after getting it in an offer. I have been a Nokia customer for years and also had experience with Sony, Sagem, LG and other phones.
Nokia always tops my list as they make great phones with easy to use features. The Nokia 6300 simply rocks as it has a very user friendly interface with sophisticated features inside it. The multimedia features such as video player, messenger, FM radio and the Music player make this phone a great all rounder.
The 2.0 megapixel camera is adequate to make this phone a standard camera phone and the pictures are of good quality. The stainless steel cover makes this phone stylish but it can also attract smudges and scratches tend to standout! It also has good bluetooth facility which makes it easy to communicate with my work and home PC wirelessly!.
Overall I am a very happy customer with this phone and would recommend it to anyone!
Well made slim, light, attractive and easy to use phone
The Nokia 6300 is a very well made slim, light, attractive and easy to use phone, the camera quality is good, it has bluetooth and a radio. The sound quality is also good, I like this phone because it is a very easy to use basic phone like all good Nokia's are.
Some functions are not located where you think they'll be
This is a basic phone in it's style, but it does have some good features, although the camera is only 2.0 megapixels, it's actually pretty good in the right lighting, I've printed some fairly good photos from it.
The menu is not great, some functions are not located where you think they'll be, and there's too many sub menus so it's easy to get lost. Connectivity wise, it's got bluetooth, and doesn't take too long to connect to the Internet, although I have Orange and the signal's rubbish, so that's probably slowing it down. All in all, though, it's a good phone.
want a phone without paying too much for extras
The slim design of the Nokia 6300 means it's discreet and easily transportable. Fits in your pocket comfortably! Thumb moves quickly and easily over the flat metallic keypad. Minimum pressure to key is needed. Clear and colourful graphics. If you just want a phone without paying too much for extras, it's a good one.
Only good for text and voice
It's a small flat phone which is really only good for text and voice. Memory in it is too small to hold many songs or camera pictures. The camera pictures are clear and easy to navigate to using the menus. I wouldnt have paid an upgrade fee for this one - luckily it was the yearly upgrade offering by O2.
An everyday phone which is stylish and practical
The Nokia 6300 is a great phone, well designed, durable and with a relevant feature set - not overly cluttered with functions never to be used.
Had mine for around and year. My initial fears that the casing might be prone to scratching have proved unfounded and the phone remains in pristine condition.
Certainly recommend to anyone wanting an everyday phone which is stylish and practical.
I wish I had waited for a couple of months
I wish I had waited for a couple of months and got another Nokia handset, whilst this phone looks nice, I've never been able to successfully set up the email, the camera is fine in daylight, but any low lighting (including in shops) and the picture cannot be seen properly, a small crack has appeared after 5 months and now the speed dial settings are choosing to dial the last person I rang on speed dial, not a good phone in my opinion.
The 6300 is extremely straightforward and easy to use
In the usual Nokia style, the 6300 is extremely straight forward and easy to use. Features a huge memory for pictures, texts etc with good quality 2meg camera and video.
The phone is slim and stylish with a nice big screen useful for internet viewing. The only drawback with the design is that although a big screen is a massive plus, to keep the overall phone size compact the keypad is quite small. Personally I would rather have it that way round but worth noting.
Good phone but I think its too big
Its a good phone but its too big.
Its a bit hard to use from time to time. One more thing the phone breaks easily which is not very good at all. 2nd time this has happened to me - cost me about 35 pounds to get fixed.
Its got good software same as the Nokia 6230 and 6230i
Nice, solid and easy to use piece of kit
This is a really easy to use phone.
It has all the usual gadgets - bluetooth, decent camera (2 mega pixels) but if you just want a phone that's a phone, is really intuitive and simple to use then this is it.
Design is nice and slim but feels solid.
Good piece of kit.
Easy to use - everything you need
This is a really nice phone especially if you like your phone to be easy to use.
I think it has everything you need like a camera, bluetooth and nice colour screen but it isn't too complicated.
It's really easy to use, like most nokias, with clear menu and shortcuts. I think this is a great phone for those people who just want their phone to be a phone and also like taking pictures on it.
Good phone and reliable but not quite there
Whilst the Nokia 6300 has all the hallmarks of a good camera phone, it's simply too small.
The memory easily seems to become overburdened, even when you only take a few odd photos.
The tendency for the phone to lose battery power is also a frustration - I simply don't want to take the charger away with me when I travel overnight.
It's good, works reliably enough. But doesn't sing out buy me.
Packed with all the features you expect
I have just been given this phone as a free upgrade, and I have to say what a joy it is to use. It is very simplistic in design and ease of use, yet packed with all the features you expect from a phone nowadays, such as MP3 player, bluetooth, video etc. It is very slim, yet feels nice and "heavy" in your hand, which I always prefer. The camera is a decent 2megapixel, and the viewing screen is very big. It came with a 128mb micro SD card, but can be expanded to a 2gig card, which will give ample space to store your music and picture collection. Only gripe I have is the cover for the usb connection is very difficult to open if you dont have strong fingernails!
Good reliable Nokia
Good reliable Nokia, nice big colourful screen for a small phone. Good size keys and long life battery. Light easy to use phone, I would recommend this phone. Strong casing and durable keys, it fits very nicely into your pocket. Quick links with easy access to menu and contacts.
Dodgy sometimes but still like it
This phone looks good and feels good.
It's easy to use but the software can be dodgy.
Sometimes it decides to do a reboot whilst in the middle of something and trying to watch a video or film of more than 15 seconds in length will most definately send the audio and video way out of sync which I find really annoying.
The memory can be upgraded to 2Gb which is a plus and great for music lovers like myself.
The phone tends to scratch easily but overall I like it. I will be upgrading soon purely due to the video issues on this phone.
Good mobile phone with good battery
A solid phone with good features and good battery length as long as you don't use the Bluetooth.
The camera has a good resolution and the screen is large enough to display an image that can be recognised.
All in all a good phone and much better than the Nokia 6280 that it replaced.
Almost perfect mobile phone in the 6300
The Nokia 6300 is an awesome mobile phone!
It looks fantastic and is very slim compared to other Nokia mobiles. It is really easy to use but the buttons could be slightly bigger to make it easier when texting.
The 2 mega pixel camera is a great feature along with the mp3 player.
My only major gripe is that the speaker, particularly the loudspeaker, is too quiet when making and receiving calls.
Otherwise Nokia have got an almost perfect mobile phone in the 6300.
Lots of problems
I had no end of problems with this phone.
I have had two memory cards wiped!
Browsing is a pain as it cuts out and turns its self off.
Turns off during calls and I have a regular problem when recieving texts - the tone continues at a high pitch and i have to remove the battery to make it stop!!!
I do like this phone. Its good looking yet understated. It packs some great features. I got it on pay as you go for £100 a few months. You can get it less than that now and thats a real steal.
I rated the phone against what is out there already so obviously can't give it 5 for design but this phone is really good. Its feature packed for the nice little size it is. Clear screen to read from.
I really like the Nokia 6300 and ive had some nice comments from other people about it when ive had it out. To sum it up - understated but classy.
Sophisticated looking
The Nokia 6300 is a sophisticated looking piece of kit. I bought this phone thinking it was a budget phone but I was completely wrong! Its got a fantastic stainless steel finish.
The 6300 is really easy to use, even I can use it and believe me that says alot. It has a really nice looking finish and not over the top like many mobile phones out there at the moment. I was looking for a nice looking phone that looked the part when I have it out for work etc. Yes sounds a bit daft I know...
The camera takes nice photos, I think its 2 mega pixel, and has bluetooth capability.
If you are after a good looking phone that does the business and won't let you down then look no further! Ive already recommended this phone to a friend who loves it as well.
