dont have to wait ages for something on the menu to come up
Have had this phone for 1 year and I am still happy with it. It works well, keeps its charge well, has easy to use buttons and a good screen.
The texting is easy to use and the menus are easy to navigate your way around the phone. This phone has bluetooth, internet and msn messenger. It is a fast phone, you dont have to wait ages for something on the menu to come up, it loads immediately.
small and light and comes with a number of the features you would expect
This phone is reasonably small and light and comes with a number of the features you would expect. It has a web browser, but the screen is a little small for full world wide web browsing and is best used for viewing WAP pages.
The camera is limited at 2.0 megapixels, but there is a front camera for easy video calling. There is a reasonable range of features on the camera, including a panorama view, which enables you to take 2 photos which are then "glued" together, there is also a video camera function and an easy gallery function for viewing back.
You can download to PC by USB cable or bluetooth, the music player is good through headphones and actually not too bad played through the external feature.
All in all, this is not a bad phone. The main criticism is that the handset becomes very warm when on a call of any length at all, which can be disconcerting and a little annoying.
easy to use phone that has some basic extra features like email and camera
Great phone from Nokia, small and as usual very simple to use but with great features like the camera which I think is better quality than on other Nokia's I have had before.
You can use the internet on it to send and recieve your email. It looks really good with the black and silver case and is really compact. I would recommend it for if you want an easy to use phone that has some basic extra features like email and camera.
looks quite good, is really slim and lightweight, memory card required
Not a bad phone, just got it last week and haven't fully used it properly though. It looks quite good, is really slim and lightweight. The music quality on it is good and I like the music player. It came without a memory card, which I didn't appreciate, you'll need to buy one if you want to store any sort of memory.
not the best but certainly not the worst I have had
I like this phone the only problem I find is that it keeps sticking, I then have to turn it off and on, its very annoying when you are in the middle of something. Apart from that its not a bad phone, not the best but certainly not the worst I have had, it has everything I need.
Easy, affordable and stylish way of communicating with others
The Nokia 6120 is slim and has a sleek design which fits nicely into the pocket. Although feature wise it could do better and the camera is not great, the phone provides users with an easy, affordable and stylish way of communicating with others. I give it 4/5 but if the camera was better then it would get 5/5.
Stylish, orginal and robust
This phone is very easy to use, it is stylish and looks very original also, the silver lining at the side makes it look very attractive. Its also very strong and sturdy as I have accidently dropped it many times on tarmac pavements and it survived and stayed in working condition.
Great for everyday quick usage, connecting to the internet is also very easy, the music volume is loud and songs play clearly.
Perfect phone for all ages and all uses, I highly recommend it, weakness is the battery life, after a long phonecall the phone tends to heat up and battery runs low.
Voice activation when calling is a very unique feature
This is a great phone and easy to use, the functions are good and internet access is very good, being relatively quick. The camera function is also pretty good but not too detailed when in dark places using the flash. The speaker built into the phone is high quality and the voice activation when the phone rings telling you who it is calling is very unique.
The 6120, a true Classic from Nokia
The Nokia 6120 Classic is indeed what its name suggests, its classic Nokia style with the ease of use that Nokia is most renowned for.
Having used it heavily over the past 8mths its a very rugged and solid built phone. The exterior is well made and looks set in todays contemporary and fashion conscious world. The back cover is all plain black (depending on the colour of the handset) and has the silver lining for the camera lens. Again I found this to be just right as you dont really look at the back of your phone.
The functions of the phone are good as well, I use the internet on it regularly and the HSPDA is quite fast for a mobile phone. I have used a PC with a 1MB connection and that was slower than my phone and with software such as MSN messenger and eBay as well as Yahoo its sure to keep anyone entertained, and if you are on the 3 network then some of these are free to use.
The casing of the phone is great for those who have the odd drop now and then as its made of steel or other metallic substance, but having dropped mine a good few times theres no dents visible, just some scratches.
The phones internal loudspeaker is good but I find it to be somewhat soft when used for example in the car or if in a somewhat noisy environment, however its clear.
The phone also has voice software installed and though this is a bit robotic, its handy to read out your messages for you when you cant.
The music player is great and easy to use as well as transfer MP3's and other data over by cable or bluetooth dongle. Create a tracklist and it plays all your MP3's continuously. You can also set it in 'background' mode and it then reverts back to the normal screen. if you receive a text or a call, the music player pauses, lets you take your call as normal, and when you end the call, it starts again where it left off. Handy as you dont have to activate it time and again in between calls.
The phone also has GPS data and Landmarks facility. I tried this with a bluetooth gps receiver and its okay but its not gps as you would find on a tomtom, the landmarks feature I never really tested.
The phone uses a Symbian S60 software platform and most new Nokia's are now S60 3rd edition platform, this is basically the operating system like Windows is for a PC. You can get tomtom maps for S60 3rd edition platform mobiles I believe to be used with an external gps receiver (receivers about £30-40 these days).
The camera is 2.0 Megapixels and its clear even when zoomed in. I find it to be a bit weak on close-up shots though. But its fine for that spur of the moment snap with your mates. My kids love to play with the camera.
The memory isnt that great on the phone but you can get a 1Gb or 2Gb micro sd card for about £10-20, and necessary if you want to carry some mp3's or take regular pictures or even video recording.
So all in all a very nice everyday easy-to-use (and understand) mobile. Very practical and still stylish its a great phone and I wouldnt upgrade this phone unless forced to.
Do not need any software at all to download all my photos and videos
Have to say this phone is light weight and actually very easy to use like the Nokia 6280 I have already.
I like the bluetooth as it connects to my laptop direct and therefore I do not need any software at all to download all my photos and videos which means even on lazy days they are backed up!
Whilst some may miss the slide function it's one less part to break, something Nokia are good at.
