Nokia 5230 Reviews

The Nokia 5230 is a standard candy-bar design touchscreen device, with option for data entry by touch or stylus. The large screen is ideal for watching movies and music videos, and the media player on the device handles multiple formats for both video and music, plus you can also keep up to date with the latest video clips via YouTube. There is ample space available for media storage, with the Nokia 5230 supporting memory cards up to 16GB in size. Image capture is via the 2.0 Megapixel camera, and video recording is also included, up to 30fps at VGA resolution. The 5230 includes support for high speed data, along with Bluetooth support for local connectivity, and also offers a built in GPS receiver and stereo FM radio.
has plently of great features to keep you entertained.
This is the lower version to Nokia's 5800. It comes at a well decent price of around £70-£90 and has plently of great features to keep you entertained.
Great for music, socialising using the Facebook app, Youtube app, myspace application. Also included with the entry level mobile is built in a-gps that works great with ovi maps which now offers free navigation for life (best to preload the maps onto a memory card using maploader which is free from Nokia website and to turn off network connection as this will stopp it connecting to the the internet making it completely free to use)
It has an impressive battery life compared to other mobiles with same features, fast internet access. If your a music fan then to save battery life switch to offline mode. Although the camera is only 2mp it takes great pictures and and decent videos.
Overall a brill mobile with only 1 main flaw which is some people may find it a bit bulky .
Very pleased with design and usability
Got this phone on Vodafone. Saw a touchscreen being used on the Gadget Show and knew I just had to have one! Very pleased with design and usability. Shows images in the gallery very clearly and of a good size, perfect for use as wallpaper. The only slight thing is the battery power. it only lasts for about 3 days before it needs recharging. But apart from that, it is good value for money. Defo recommend!!!
Good battery life and an excellent music player make this a good buy
Great phone with good features, including free satnav. Main reason for buying it is for the Ovi maps. Good battery life and an excellent music player make this a good buy for people on a budget. Only downside is the camera has no flash and is only 2mp.
There is no document reader, this is my biggest complaint
One correction, this phone has real GPS, not just A-GPS, as the technical spec said. When I use Google maps on my 5230, it shows that it receives GPS signal from GPS satellites.
I think this is the cheapest smartphone in the market. The functions and programmes are all comparable to high end phones, but this phone is still not perfect.
This phone is a little bit slow to respond, especially when running multiple functions. There is no document reader, this is my biggest complaint, a smartphone must have a document reader. I still think this is a good phone, with great value.

Mobile phones are constantly being updated in a constantly evolving industry with huge demands. Where camera phones go up by the megapixel on a monthly basis and the next big feature just around the corner, it certainly can be confusing finding the right mobile phone.
Most handsets now could be classed as 'smart phones' based on where mobile phones were a few years ago with the current crop of buzz words - 3G, HSPDA, megapixel, social networking, apps, A-GPS and more. Thats why reading impartial user reviews is the best way of deciding what phone to buy next!
