For me this phone is good because it is really easy to use.

Nokia 2600 classic is a nice simple phone for people who just want to call and receive calls and use text message services. The phone is really reliable, I got it from my sister who had it for about 2 years and i've had it for a year now, hasn't given me any problems yet. Camera isnt all that great, memory is low aswell but its got bluetooth, radio and wap. For me this phone is good because it is really easy to use.

no frills, no complications

This phone is obviously more outdated than many of the new models, however it serves it's purpose well and offers 'no frills' 'no complications' for those who just want a good reliable phone that works. The fact that it is in colour makes a big difference.

My main gripe with it is the software to syncronise

Nice little phone, if a little basic. My main gripe with it is the software to syncronise the phone to the PC. I cannot get mine to even find the phone, and apparently a few other people seem to have had similar problems. I have contacted Nokia, but as yet have had no reply.

Even at this low price there are decent features

An excellent phone if you just want something basic for making and recieving calls. Even at this low price there are decent features like a camera, bluetooth, etc. Excellent battery life also unlike so many new phones that are crammed with too many features that I have no need for. Recommended.

what can I say it is a classic

A very useful mobile phone - what can I say it is a classic. I am a bit of a technophobe but I have had no problems with it. I have been able to text people without any problems. Charging it has been straight forward. I live in an area where reception is bad but I have not had any problems. Cant think of any bad side with this phone.

It is only around about 12MB with no memory card support

After buying my Nokia 2600c, I quickly got to setting it up. If you have previously owned a Nokia you will recognise the easy to navigate menu.

The phone came with earphones (for use with the in-built mp3 player & FM Radio), and an Xpress-On changeable cover. The phone is slim and light, with a decent size screen for a phone of this price.

The first thing which can be annoying is the keypad. For example when creating a text it's all to easy to press the wrong button, as on some other Nokias, the keys would not be flat.

All the usual features are included such as Calendar, Converter, Calculator, Notes, To-Do List, Stopwatch, Alarm & Timer. There is also an Expenses Manager application, but it uses dollars as a default with no GBP built-in. This should be easy to configure though.

The bluetooth is easy enough to use, if a little basic. There is no way to browse other users files as with other models of phones.

The built-in games are Sudoku, Snake EX2 & Galaxy Balls. Nice and easy to get to grips with, that are not particularly challenging but a good way to kill time.

The camera is ok, with zoom and night shot. However I was dissapointed with Recorder at the ability to only record 1 minute at a time.

The themes, tones and wallpapers that come with the phone are enough to tinkle around with until you want to customise it to be your own.

This leaves me with the final irritation: The internal memory. It is only around about 12MB with no memory card support. This was a major letdown for me and spoiled what is a really great designed phone.

Overall though, if you just want an inexpensive phone with no software issues, just to do the basics; this is a great buy.

Feature packed profile and intuitive menu, a typically easy to use Nokia

Crystal clear display and vivid graphics enhance a super sized display on the 2600. Fully functioning Nokia trademark user interface is familiar and reassuring with the 'Classic' range of NOKIA's.
Feature packed profile and intuitive menu makes this a typically easy to use Nokia. Recommended.

sending text messages has never been easier

This is a fuss-free candy-bar designed phone that fits well in your hands, and is easy and user-friendly. The buttons are ergonomically placed for the avid texting-fan, so sending text messages has never been easier. One problem though is that the screen is slightly smaller than other models, which might be an issue for some.
