UsabilityJust making phone calls or sending texts then this is the one for you
The classic Nokia mobile phone. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles I've come to expect of mobiles these days but if you just want a good phone for making phone calls or sending texts then this is the one for you.
I've found it has a good battery talk time and standby time - it's durable, can put up with a lot of knocks and the odd dropping here and there. It doesn't have gadgets like a camera or bluetooth and it's only got a mono screen. But it's got the classic Nokia games, my favourite is snake and an alarm clock etc.

With the advent of "Smart Phones" people often forget that the basis purpose of a mobile phone is to make and receive telephone calls. This phone does this task simply and efficiently. It also enables easy texting with predictive T9 capability. With a standard high capacity long life battery both the talk time and standby time leave most more sophisticated models in the shade. Overall a simple to use basic phone that will not let you down when you need it.

Overall its a basic handset that is an excellent choice if you simply want to make a phone call. It is easy to use and works efficiently. It is not a heavy phone and is also quite compact. This phone is a great 'emergency' phone, or a spare. Reception is also good.

Great phone as I can take it anywhere and dont have to worry too much about it getting stolen or lost.
I'm on orange and reception is very good.
I have spashed beer on this phone many times and it still works and its been left in the pub - nobody steals it they just hand it back.

I am not someone who is into gadgets, but for a reliable phone, that is affordable, texts and phones but not too much more the Nokia 1110i is excellent value. The screen is very readable, with decent sized lit up characters, and the keypad is very smooth to use.
