Very basic phone, poor camera resolution
Very basic phone, poor camera resolution. Limited text memory, usually about 50+ messages can be stored. Poor bluetooth and data transfer, limited music and ringtone storage. Easy to use text messaging, very mediocre gameplay. Office tools and applications ok. Would not recommend.
alot of phone for minimum price
This is an excellent mobile for someone who needs a light, easy to use handset without all the fancy G3 stuff. It is a great design and has all you need for basic phoning, texting and keeping track of your contacts. It is alot of phone for minimum price. The only negative factor is the limited battery charge. Other than that, keep it charged and it is great!
never failed to give me first class service
I have had this phone for 3 years and it has never failed to give me first class service. I will admit to not being a very demanding user as I do not use many of the features of the phone but I understand from others that these are first class. The menu is very easy to use even for me and I can find anything I want very easily. The camera gives good results and I use T-Mobile and have no connection problems
reliable, robust & easy to carry phone for making calls and texts
Lightweight phone with a good battery especially if you don't use bluetooth much. Clam design prevents accidental dialing while it's in your bag or pocket.
This phone holds a lot more messages, photo's and video than my previous phone. Seems to be reliable and fairly robust. My daughter dropped it down the stairs and my baby has used it as a teehing ring, I've had it for over a year now.
The keys located on the sides of the phone are a pain as they are always getting knocked. The camera and video features are not great but functional. If you're looking for a reliable, robust & easy to carry phone for making calls and texts, which you don't have to charge everyday then I'd recommend this.
subscribing to a sim only contract as I am perfectly happy with this phone
As a straightforward phone user I find this phone very suitable. I like the flip up cover as it also operates as a connect feature when one gets a call and when closed makes a compact article. I do not excessively use texting so therefore am not expert at using the pre emptive text but I am sure that were I a heavier user I would become competent with it.
The camera is firstly very easy to operate and secondly provides a good quality snap. It also has internet connection which again I do not really use as I am happier with my PC and laptop and to be honest I am concerned at the cost of using internet connection via mobile. So for my use I would give the phone 10 out of 10 but realise a more demanding user might allocate a slightly lesser score. To underline my satisfaction, I will be subscribing to a sim only contract as I am perfectly happy with this phone.
camera and other features are a bit lacking for nowdays
A good phone, well designed for the time, although the camera and other features are a bit lacking for nowdays. The memory is small so the phone cannot handle lots of images. The different colours make it quite a funky phone and I know the pink version was very popular. Very sleek and fits into bags/pockets without any problem.
It really is both timeless and faultless
The phone is timeless. In terms of ease of use and value for money, it is unbeatable. It is slim, with a user-friendly keypad, and as one would expect with Motorola, solid and reliable. The display is clear, and the phone is easy to navigate. This is a phone that I would buy again without question. It really is both timeless, and faultless.
If you use it alot you're charging it every other day
A good phone, easy to use and find your way around but as with all Motorola's I have had, the battery life is not much cop. If you use it alot you're charging it every other day. I think that's quite a lot compared to other mobiles out there, that would be my only complaint.
The phone was good when it first came out
The phone was good when it first came out but I really need to upgrade it, the only trouble I had with it was the volume sometimes can be quiet and then sometimes its too loud.
The camera isn't that decent on it, gets quite blurry but the quality isnt that bad, the pics come out better when you email them to yourself.
The phone is also very lightweight so not heavy and is small enough to fit into your pocket or hand.
main drawback on my phone is the battery life
My second mobile, following up a basic Nokia that I'd had for years. Liked the camera, though being used to high-spec digital photography, it doesn't produce excellent results.
Texting is hampered by the inability (as far as I can see) to add commonly used words, leading to minor frustration as the phone guesses gobbledygook while missing seemingly obvious names etc.
The golf game included is surprisingly addictive, the main drawback on my phone is the battery life, necessitating a charge every night, even when just used for sending half a dozen texts per day.
still one of the slimmest mobile phones on the market
This is a great phone for just on the go, battery can wear after 2 years of usage, surprisingly tough, although camera can get scratched fairly easily. The design is great, still one of the slimmest phones on the market. Good quality as always from Motorola. Not many features, fairly ok camera, mainly buisness use.
Difficult to use at first but ok now, its very thin but doesnt appear very robust
Great phone, found it a little hard to use at first but okay now, but you always wonder if you are going to drop it and it will it explode into a million pieces because it is so thin, I don't think it would take much to break it. So overall a good looking phone with some good features just a little tough to use.
Slimline, chic and gorgeous
This phone is pretty much perfect for me, slimline and chic with a gorgeous pink colour. The settings are fine with messaging, the photos could be a lot clearer but not bad. It does scratch quite easily but have had worse, I do seem to have issues with the internet usage as it doesnt like to connect to many average sites which is annoying but thats all I have an issue with, overall I would buy it again.
Must say that I have been very pleased with it
I obtained my phone on a deal which included a free phone, so I really did not pick it based on how good the phone actually was.
However I must say that I have been very pleased with it, mainly I think because it is easy to use. I am not much fussed about the look of the phone although it does have a nice image. It has a flip up front which I like because it does not run the risk of accidently ringing numbers that my last one did.
The camera is good, but I cannot say the same about the internet connection which whilst it seems OK I do not use as I am suspicious of the cost of connecting this way and my PC and laptop suit me fine
Nice and lightweight and is easy to use
I like this phone as it is nice and lightweight and is easy to use. I also like it as it is pink, nice and girly. The camera on it is pretty good as well, although it doesnt have much space on the phone to keep many pictures, the graphics on it are pretty good as well.
Easy to use, excellent features but poor battery life
This phone is excellent in every way, except for the battery - the charge does not last long enough! Even after buying a new one the charge only lasts for 3-4 days. However, the phone is extremely stylish and is very easy to use with many excellent features.
Not given me an ounce of trouble in 3 years
I've had this phone for a few years now and I'm reluctant to give it up, it's still a great phone, very hard wearing, it's not given me an ounce of trouble in 3 years.
Feature wise it's a little dated but still looks good, the camera is quite poor now considering what's available, although it can't record video you can watch them. At the time of buying I would have rated it 10/10, now I would only rate it as 7/10 because of the new fancy features it lacks. When I finally pluck up the courage to upgrade I will try the V2 Razr.
Good quality camera and video
A great slimline phone which I bought mainly for it's good quality camera and video. The quality of video pictures when transfered to PC isn't great and there is no volume when transfered, although very good if kept on the phone. I really like the way the small screen on the front of the mobile acts as a camera when shut and you can actually see what you are taking the photo of.
To just call and text it is very good.
It is a nice slim phone, sleek design with large key pad for easy typing.
It is made of a material which makes it very difficult to damage and scratch which makes it last longer and look good for longer.
It has not got a very large memory and the camera is not that good but for a phone to just call and text it is very good.
Battery cover would constantly fall off
When I got the Motorola V3 I wasn't happy as the battery cover would constantly fall off and which then allowed the loosely fitted battery to go with it. In places with other people, such as on the train travelling, the speaker for the call wouldn't be loud enough and the camera is hopeless.
However it was easy to navigate but definately not worth the money, or the hassle in my opinion.
Still proud to show it in public
Have you ever put your phone in your pocket and then been told that because you didn't lock the keypad that your friends heard the rustling of cloth in your pockets, well with the Motorola V3 that never happens.
I got the V3 on contract 2 years ago and still proud to show it in public. It has a easy to use keypad, the menu's work well and the flip lid keeps those keys protected.
The only dis-advantage is the volume of ring tones, if the ambiant volume where you are is load, then you will more than likely miss the call. Even on vibrate there is very little movement unless its in your backpocket and your sat down.
