I won't make that mistake again
I bought this phone when it was just out, without knowing anyone who owned it, I won't make that mistake again.
I just don't like the way when I close it, the buttons leave a mark on the screen in a wave shape, which really annoys me. There is also only one game, the other two 'games' are nutrition diaries (extremely difficult to use) and a "safe" place to store all your pincodes.
Reliable, small, neat and very well designed
The Pebl is really a lovely thing to behold, a nice little phone which fits well into the hand and has a soft touch texture which is unlike anything else currently on the market. The flip open design has a really smooth mechanism and also seemed to survive being thrown in my bag or pocket with no problems.
The software did the job - nothing too fancy or over the top - it just worked as a phone with everything you expect and need to make calls and save messages and numbers as well as a calendar, diary and so on.
I have a smartphone which does all the fancy stuff and internet and so on - but they are always a bit big to take on a night out so having this was really neat for those times I wanted a smallish phone in my pocket rather than a small computer (as most smartphones are pretty big even nowadays).
Overall I would recommend this phone. Reliable, small, neat and very well designed. Oh and they even come in all different colours now as well...
The PEBL has all the essentials
This phone has a really original flip feature which is great fun. The phone also looks great and very distinctive. Function wise it is not the most upto date by todays standards but it does all the essentials i.e. video (not calling), web etc. Overall you will struggle to find a better looking phone but if you are looking for a techno packed phone then this probably isnt the one for you.
screen is fairly sized and of decent quality as is the video camera
At first I loved this phone. The 'double hinge' feature is great and enables easy use at all times. The design is sleek and sexy and I like the 'Rubbery' material in which it's covered.
The screen is fairly sized and of decent quality as is the video camera. The speaker has been nothing but trouble, as it occasionally just stops working for weeks on end. And the memory capacity is awful, there is no space for a memory card, so you're stuck with the limited amount already on (which is about 3 average length songs).
The bluetooth feature starts off very slowly but once connected the transfer is very speedy. This phone holds it's charge very well and can go three or four days without being charged. Overall a fairly good phone with only a few faults.
earpiece speaker stopped working, this appears to be a common problem
Ok phone, fits in pocket nicely and easy to use, camera not great by today standards and the memory small, bluetooth is good when matched with Motorola headset. But as a phone it worked fine until the earpiece speaker stopped working. This appears to be a common problem, experienced by other owners.
Games and memory could be better but happy with our Motorola's
I find this mobile phone ok, the games are a bit naff though. The memory a bit small but hey it's a phone not a pc. I have had mine for over 2 years now. My wife has one as well, we have never had any problems with this model and would consider Motorola if and when we wanted to replace/upgrade our current phones
PEBL from Motorola is the best phone I have ever had
The PEBL from Motorola is the best phone I have ever had, it hasn't got all the features but does enough. I can take it anywhere, signal coverage is great.
I have dropped the phone a couple of times and dropped in water, no problem. Fits in pockets even when trouser is very tight, fits in hand easy and nice to carry.
Aren't enough games to occupy free time, and the storage space is very low
This phone is one of my favorite phones so far, yet there are a few snags. Firstly, the messages don't seem to arrive that quickly - one message was received 3 hours after it was sent with the phone being on all the time, although this may have been Oranges fault as a network provider.
Secondly, there aren't enough games to occupy free time, and the storage space is very low. Lastly, the messages can only be about 150 characters long, which is rubbish if you want to give someone directions.
Motorola only thought about the design and nothing else the quality of it and the technology we have today...
