The keyboard is really easy to use

This phone looks really good, the screen is a reasonable size and has a very cool qwerty keyboard. I have the blue version as it looked the best. The keyboard is really easy to use and makes writing text messages quick and easy. It is however quite slow and takes sometime to respond when you do anything with text messages like opening them and especially deleting them.

The touchscreen is a nice feature

I got an LG KS360 on PAYG for Christmas and I think it is a really good phone for the money (£60 with £10 top up). The touchscreen is a nice feature, although it's very easy to dial the wrong number - maybe that's just me.

It's not so easy to follow some of the menus but all the features you want are included - just getting to them is a bit difficult.

Overall, very pleased with it - definitely recommended.

However the internet often does not connect and displays errors.

This is a fairly good phone and is very easy to use, particularly for texting. However the internet often does not connect and displays errors. The battery does not last long in use but lasts a long time in standby. The phone's camera is quite good, but it sometimes fails to save onto the memory card properly.

The phone is good for texting

The phone is good for texting, however when you get to many texts coming through at once, whilst you are replying to another you end up crashing the phone and the phone ends up rebooting, often loosing the message that you were just typing. I have recently found the background resetting itself from time to time at random times and every now and again another system feature ends up going back to default settings.

The touch screen is the most annoying feature

The LG KS360 is a reasonable budget phone. It has a touch screen (actually a temperature sensitive screen) not found on any other models in its price range. However, it does not feel very well thought out - menus are difficult to find and it is not as intuitive as a Nokia for example.

The touch screen is the most annoying feature - it only allows you to dial and you can't access the menus either. As the screen is heat rather than touch sensitive you can't use a pointing device - which is an issue. Overall, not a bad phone for the money, but there are better.

an affordable phone that makes texting as easy as it should be

At last an affordable phone that makes texting as easy as it should be. Drawbacks, shift and function keys are not QWERTY functional but it's a rare joy to be able to write a message in correct English.

The keyboard slides out and the screen's alignment changes from vertical to horizontal automatically - you won't want to type a novel on it but it does a reasonable job. You do have to support it using both hands, but two thumb typing now comes into its own.

Camera and video functions are usable, but there's no flash so limited to well lit locations.

The music player is functional and provides a reasonable sound through cheapish bud type headphones. As does the FM radio and the voice recorder can be a useful tool too. As is the organiser.

Ringtones do their job, but it would be an advantage to set the alarm volume higher, a curious omission.

Deals well with internet access - though this is dependant on your provider of course - but the screen is too small for prolonged browsing, it's handy for checking the facts/comparing prices on shopping trips, for those larger items.

Overall a good solid basic phone, only really let down by the clunky and dated software provided by LG for connecting to your PC - it works but could be far more user friendly and functional.

All in all worth the money

A great phone and easy to read instuctions, I dont like the touch kepypad, however it is a very good easy phone, personally I think it is more suited to teenagers, it is a very nice tidy phone unlike those great big bricks that are out there. All in all worth the money, but as I have said I prefer using a keypad not a touchtone phone, it is a good phone

while it is good, you do get what you pay for

I received this phone free on a £15 a month contract from Orange, and while it is good, you do get what you pay for. The keyboard for it is great, and sending texts is so much easier this way.

However the phone struggles to multitask, for example if you receive a text while trying to type one you have to wait to recieve the text until you can carry on typing. I have also had the phone turn itself off sometimes, but that might just be my phone.

not one of these phones that he is embarrassed to be seen with

I bought this phone for my 11 year old son as an early xmas present and I must say its great, he is thrilled with it. It is very easy to use with a good deal of gadgets on it to keep him amused and its not one of these phones that he is embarrassed to be seen with. Its hip and his friends think its cool.

I think it should either be fullly touch or no touch at all

Turns itself off, I have friends who have experienced other difficulties with the phone, ie phone stalls when either making or receiving a call.

However I do like the design of the phone, with the qwerty keyboard it is easy to create text messages,
on the other hand I do not like the partial touch function of the phone. I think it should either be fullly touch or no touch at all.

Overall I give the phone a 2 out of 5.

Don't let all the negative comments put you off

I was worried after reading through these reviews, but I bought this phone and have had ZERO problems.

I have mates who have had problems, but mines fine. It can be a little slow at times, but I expect that as it has so many features. I mainly text, so the keyboard is excellent. I was surprised with the touch screen as I didnt even know it had one. Plus I'm not keen on touchscreen, so I was happy that it was just a small feature.

People also keep saying that there is not much battery life, but I charge it every 2/3 days, and thats after I've used the MP3 and internet everyday, so thats pretty good if you ask me.

I would definitely advise others to get this phone, as its cheap, has great features and the speakers are great quality.

Don't let all the negative comments put you off, because I almost took mine back, but its absolutely fine!

Poor battery quality

Poor battery quality, have had a replacement battery and still poor. Only lasts about 10 hours when it's supposed to last 48. I hardly ever use the internet on it either which I would expect to use up the battery time. The rest of it is fine .

have had numerous problems

I have had numerous problems. When making a call, you don't always hear the person on the other end and sometimes takes 3 - 4 attempts, by this time the person you are ringing is well annoyed as they have answered it already. It keeps shutting itself off, nightmare.

has been taken back on numerous occasions

Its okay but has a few faults, the little circle mirror at the back is very easy to scratch off (not a major issue). It switches itself off (well mine does anyway, it has been taken back on numerous occasions and coming back with the same fault).

The look is rather boring actually compared to other phones. I was a bit disappointed when the only part you can use touch screen was when you dial to call someone. however I do like how you can change the font and size of writing for the main menu and messaging.

an excellent value mobile phone

The LG KS360 is an excellent value mobile phone. It is pakced full of decent featues such as 2mp camera and the impressive slide out keyboard makes texting a joy - something found on phones which are much more expensive. The one gripe I have with the phone is that it has a heat rather than touch sensitive screen, so only fingers and not pointing devices work, but overall this isn't a major problem.

when the phone works fine, I really love it

I think that I have just been unlucky with this phone. I have had many problems. I have had to get it replaced due to the phone battery refusing to hold despite charging it to the full extent. Now I am also having trouble with my second one. The screen seems to be faulty and it has habit of cutting out on me. I am becoming rather frustrated because when the phone works fine, I really love it and think it is an amazing phone.

only problem I have found is that the battery doesnt seem to last very long

The LG KS360 is a nice looking handset which is great for texting as it has a slide out keypad which is layed out the same as a computer keypad. I think this phone would be very popular with teenagers. The only problem I have found with it is that the battery doesnt seem to last very long.

The design is smart and the choice of colours is good. The keypad is so easy to use, its like having a mini laptop. The touch screen is easy which you can put onto vibrate so you know that the numbers are beeing typed in. Alarm sounds are good too with some good sound. Doesnt come with many ringtones but i have found it easy to download them. I would defo recommend this phone.

I'm no tech person and I found it easy to use the internet and access emails

Got the phone a few months now and no trouble at all. Easy to use especially with the keyboard. Camera is ok for a quick picture or two. Easy to put your own ringtones on, however have noticed you can't press ok to access messages untill the ringtone has stopped. Lasts a while on the battery which I am very impressed about. I'm no tech person and I found it easy to use the internet and access emails. More than a happy customer

camera is ample for a phone of this price as is the MP3 player

What a great phone the LG KS360 is! Its undeservedly maligned in the reviews I have read elsewhere. My son originally got me a touch-screen phone but as a spectacle wearer of tri-focals I found I was often missing the mark and my texts were gobbledygook. Also I found myself sending texts to the wrong people and even on one memorable occasion to my entire phonebook!

The LG KS360 has a touch screen for calls but also a slide out qwerty screen which makes everything nice and easy. No more mistakes! The camera is ample for a phone of this price as is the MP3 player. Memory is plentiful with the addition of a memory card. It looks quite trendy in any of the 3 colours, is light weight and I highly recommend it to all!

I find it quite difficult to text from

Although a stylish phone, the advertising 'for the high message user' isnt accurate, as I find it quite difficult to text from, and also you will quite often find that the message you have supposedly sent...ends up in the outbox.

My mother-in-law, husband and myself have all bought this phone, from different retailers, and have all experienced similar problems with the messaging function! It is not for a high message user....unless you are willing to drop whatever you are doing to reply to or send a text - as both hands are needed, especially if you want to include numbers or symbols in the message.

The battery life isn't great either, if you have a game on it, you are guaranteed after a few minutes play that the battery will start to drain rapidly, and it is not a user friendly phone while charging, due to the location of the charger on it.

As for the 'touch screen' function - small fingers are a must! the pin can easily be put in wrong, and not because you enter it in wrongly, the edge of your finger might hit the tip of the wrong number.

On the plus side, the options available for viewing your albums is great! And the camera has a superb quality! Although you would need a massive memory card if you use the video regularly, as it fills up very quickly.

Overall, I would advise to think carefully before purchasing this phone, unless you just want to be seen to have a phone with a qwerty keyboard....then, with affordability....it is the one for you!

packs a lot of decent features into a phone which is pretty cheap

The KS360 is a reasonabe phone but is not quite what it seems. For example the "touch screen" is actually heat sensitive, not truly touch sensitive so you can't use a pointer for example to control it - the heat screen also only works for dialing and nothing else.

Ths is the major gripe I've had with the phone as otherwise it packs a lot of decent features into a phone which is pretty cheap. The slide out keyboard is great and very sturdy and feels of similar quality to that found on more more expensive models.

Overall it's a good average for a good price.

Good pay as you go phone, good value for money

Good pay as you go phone, good value for money. Battery life could be a bit longer but its not too bad having to charge every three or four days. The keyboard takes a bit of getting used to but is worth it as it makes texting so easy! Also had a nice clear colourful screen.

Has some issues with reliability

The LG KS360 is a very attractive phone and looks very proffessional.

The devices on the phone are really good as well but I was very disappointed by the reliablity of this phone as there have been a number of occasions where it has turned its self off.

Also if you are in the middle of replying to a text message and another one comes through then the phone will crash!

Recently the phone has started to be slow at changing the screen from portrait to landscape when I open it and I get lines across the screen some times.

such an easy mobile phone to use

I really like this mobile phone. It is such an easy mobile phone to use, at first I found it strange using the full keypad on it as I have always used mobile phones which have the standard keypad. But once you get the hang of using the full keypad it is so so easy and useful, makes texting or emailing quicker. In my opinion I would recommend this mobile phone to someone who sends texts rather than talking.

the best value phone currently available with a qwerty keyboard

Probably the best value phone currently available with a qwerty keyboard and large screen, which aids easy texting and internet browsing. The camera takes good quality pictures and the Mp3 player sounds great. The ability to use 4Gb micro sd memory cards makes this a good phone for data storage. A slim sexy phone which is only compromised by the small battery. For the price, a great phone.

It makes calls, it texts brilliantly

The phone has a wonderful design and the size of it is perfect for an abrasive person like me. The touch screen option when dialling a number is fantastic, and I only wish it were available for the menus too.

The rest of the phone is all very much unknown to me, probably as much as it is to you. I'm not particularly a phone person. It makes calls, it texts brilliantly, with the sliding QWERTY keyboard which was surprisingly simple to get used to. It takes the occasional momentary snap. That's all I need a phone.

especially social network sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Bebo

This phone is great for people who love socialising. It has a wonderful slide out QWERTY keypad which is really ease to use, and it is really clear which keys are used for what.

I love the design, the main buttons are raised so it is easy to press them without accidently catching the wrong one, and most features are only a click away.

You can easily connect to the internet with this phone, especially social network sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Bebo, and there is a threaded text messages feature which keeps all your messages tidy. Overall I think this phone is great and ever so easy to use.

main downside of this is the touch screen feature

The keyboard feature is great, this is a good phone for texting making, it easier and faster to type.
The main downside of this is the touch screen feature, its only used to type numbers to call & cant be used on the menus making it practically pointless when it could have been useful.

The slide feature is smooth and the rating screen upon sliding the phone is great. It is a good buy, I have it in blue & my girlfriend got the pink one. The camera button on the side is in a convenient location. It has micro SD expandable memory which is useful as it doesn't have a huge built in memory.

I really like the design and everythink about it

This is a boss phone, I really like the design and everythink about it, the only thing I would like to add to it is video calls, that would make it the best phone ever.

I usually change my phone every 2 months and I have always wanted to buy a t-mobile side kick one day, I was walking past the Orange shop and saw this phone advertised on the window.

I checked it out and it has free myspace and facebook access and has everything that a t-mobile side kick has, the t-mobile side kick usually sells around £200 and this one only costs £89 so I bought it and I'm so in love with this phone.
