The user interface is easy to learn

Small but powerful and attractive, the LG Pop is perfect for anyone who wants and needs a simple to use phone with all the right features if they need them.

The user interface is easy to learn. Texting is a pleasure with large characters and intuitive predictive texting, and the large touchscreen is responsive and bright.

The 3MP camera is also impressive and this mobile is a superb fashion accessory.

the camera isn't great, and there is no flash

This phone is great if you wish to browse the internet, download apps and for texting. The only problem I have had is that when you have loads of apps like I do, it can take a few seconds for that page to load. Other then that, the phone is great.

The reason the features was given a 4 from me was because the camera isn't great, and there is no flash, but that seems standard on the new style 'smart' phone.

It has easy internet access on the go including built in apps

I purchased this phone as it was under a very cheap monthly contract and seemed to have all the features of the lastest smart phones.

It has easy internet access on the go including built in apps with direct access to Facebook, Twitter and Myspace. It also takes 3mp photos, can record video and works as an mp3 player.

It also has the option to add your own SD card which is useful. Battery life is good, only downside it the size of the screen, isn't as big as some other smart phones but if you're not using it to view video much then this is not an issue.

Features is the Pop's strong point

LG has proved simplicity is the key with only two things that stand out at you straight away - a button and the screen. The multifunction button has a few responsibilities considering it is only one button. "Green" means go ahead or takes you to your call log which shows recent calls made or received. "Red" means go back or hang up.

Features is the Pop's strong point. On the home screen there is a bar at the bottom with widgets. You can drag these up from below. This is otherwise known as the "Widget Page". The second screen is what LG call the live square. This is where you keep your favourite contacts. You can call, send messages, edit or delete number. You can also change the avatars and the backgrounds on this page. On the third and final screen you can add speed dials.

Another neat feature is the organiser function. Once you have dragged your widgets, contacts and speed dials to the 3" screen, simply shake the device to organise the page. Also when you get to the main menu you can view it either portrait or landscape simply by turning the phone. Around the phone you have multifunction keys or dual function keys.

The button at the top acts as a power button and standby button. The button on the left side also has two jobs. Hold it down to get the camera on screen. Alternatively, press the button and your personal favourite applications come up.

The final feature which I think is amazing is the silenced call. If you want to silence a call just turn the phone on it's front and it will silence. The call will not cancel the call either. You can also set this as a snooze function. Just turn the phone to silence the alarm.

There is nothing special about the Pop's usability. It is small enough and light enough to fit into your pocket easily. The upsetting thing is the screen, it is not sensitive enough. Also, when you are typing, you will find the keys are too small even if you have average size fingers. However, you can buy a stylus for it.

The screen texting and sensitivity let me down but what let me down the most was the camera. It does not have auto focus or a flash. However, the picture quality is good enough. The camcorder on the other hand, is terrible.

Overall the LG is Pop is a great phone. You'd expect a phone like this to cost hundreds of pounds but it does not.

easy to use menu and a good camera too.

The LG Pop phone is marketed as a budget phone but actually has all of the features of its more expensive competitors in a slim case with full size screen. The handset looks good in silver, is well made and so easy to use, with great speakers and a single button call send/receive feature so that you don't get confused when your mobile suddenly rings and you cut the caller off by mistake.

Excellent features, bright touchscreen, easy to use menu and a good camera too. Very good value for money.
