HTC Touch Diamond 2 Reviews

The HTC Touch Diamond II is a smart looking touch screen device, running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Sporting the excellent TouchFlo 3D user interface, the Touch Diamond II is a sheer joy to use, enabling smooth transition between applications. Interacting with the handset on the large, resistive TFT Touch screen is a real joy, and underneath the classy UI is a real powerhouse of a device. Email setup on the device is straight forward, and support for attachments is enabled with the inclusion of Pocket Office. Web browsing present well on the 3.2 inch display and data is transferred over high speed 3.5G mobile broadband. The Touch Diamond II comes complete with a media player, GPSsupport and sports a high quality 5.0 Megapixel camera.

keyboard is far too small and delicate for a man's size hand
I've had my Diamond 2 for 2 months. The keyboard is far too small and delicate for a man's size hand, and is too sensitive with double characters all the time. You have to use the stylus if you want to be accurate.
To my mind too much has been packed in, the screen should be bigger as style is less useful in business use than functionality. Sync to MS Office is a joy however and for the first time I have my mobile diary.
That said, the 5 mp camera is not supported by flash which renders it useless a lot of the time, and sending mms is a nightmare as mine will only allow me send the poorest quality photo files.
I totally regret upgrading to this device and cannot wait to get my hands on an iPhone or Blackberry Storm 2. Sorry HTC, give us a business phone and stop worrying about size and style.
recently upgraded from my Diamond to the Diamond 2
I just recently upgraded from my Diamond to the Diamond 2. 2 weeks old and the screen is already faulty - looks like oil between the glass and the LCD. Bought it in Malaysia, live in Thailand, so cant get it fixed under their limited warranty. Not good for a 2 week old US$700 handset. Last HTC for me! Blackberry next.
the grass isn't always greener on the other side
The HTC Diamond is the successor to the touch and the HTC Touch Pro the successor to the Diamond. Confusing I know. I am not sure where the Mogul fits into it.
That, combined with a keyboard-handset relationship that is lacking at times, means that while this is probably what most people thought they wanted from the Diamond, the reality is that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
