It looks good and the apps on Google Market Place are amazing

I love this phone it is so easy to use. It looks good and the apps on Google Market Place are amazing. The only downside is the battery life, sometimes I have to charge it twice a day and the fact that the camera has no flash. I would definitely recommend this as an alternative to the iPhone.

relatively easy to send a text or email.

A great phone with lots of features. After having used a Motorola V3 for 2 years, this is definitely a much more capable phone. I am particularly impressed with the sleek and slim design for this touch phone, which neatly fits into my top pocket.

The email function is excellent and it is relatively easy to send a text or email. GPS function is a real bonus. For my business use, this phone is a real asset. I would prefer a louder ringer, but other than that I would definitely recommend.

This phone is brilliant all round

This phone is brilliant all round. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good phone, and ease of use but with lots of accessories to go with it.

It is also very reliable, haven't had a problem in the whole time that I have had the phone and that is coming up to 6 1/2 months, where as previous phones have all had faults within the first 4 months of use.

Battery life can be poor at first but gets better after a few times charging. Get an app which manages all your settings at a touch of a button so you can turn off bluetooth, syncing, wifi etc and the battery life becomes fine

With this phone I have free GPS from Nav4All, a great compass that really works, a reasonable camera that works well even in very low light, ebook reader. Wifi and 3g works great.

much more compact than an iPhone

An absolutely brilliant phone which is stylish, easy to carry in your pocket (much more compact than an iPhone). It has email (I have connected to my home email account so that emails are also sent to me) but you can set up a separate google account if you want.

The phone and other features are easy to use on the responsive touch screen. The apps are quick to navigate through. Internet connection is quick and the GPS facility is really handy.

Only little downside is that I have the white cover which has become very shabby looking very quickly. I would recommend the black cover, which my friend has and looks great. Overall a great phone which I would highly recommend

Like the free apps that you can download and the browser is a dream

For the money an excellent phone. The best I have used. What I would say to those who complain amount the camera, doh...it is a mobile phone!!

The keyboard takes a little getting used to. I now select the predicted word instead of hitting the space key. It avoids the first predictive word replacing the word you have typed and wish to keep.

Like the free apps that you can download and the browser is a dream. I can recommend TouchDown for those who want to connect to their Exchange mail server.

great phone, except for the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack

I have an issue where the microphone has stopped working altogether (before it was intermittent and I had to reboot the phone to get it working again), have to return it, apart from that it's a great phone, except for the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.

After a few days I should change to another phone

I have been using the HTC Magic for 4 days now.

Although at first it seemed an excellent phone I am beginning to think I should change it for something else.

The qwerty keyboard is a nightmare and the predictive text just inserts a predicted word without 'asking'.

It would be nice if I could have the option of a numerical keyboard for writing texts (although I am a speedy 60 wpm on a normal laptop keyboard, I can write texts quicker with a numerical pad than I can with this qwerty) - in fact it is nigh on impossible to type with the keyboard in portrait and is only marginally better in landscape - and my fingers are pretty dainty!

Accessing the internet, googlemail etc is fantastic - can't fault it. But the battery life is apalling. If I didn't have my TomTom charger in my car I think I would run out of battery half way through the day.

AND last thing the camera is not just bad, it's terrible. Unless you have great light, a steady hand and a motionless subjects all photo's are blurred and the delay on pressing the button and taking the photo is beyond annoying!

typing texts and emails is a breeze on the touch screen

I have had this for a week now and I have to say its the best phone I've ever owned. Having bought and returned an iPhone (did not like it, and cost far to much) I wanted something that would at least give the iPhone a run for its money. I did with this handset!

The design is simply stunning and the screen resolution is amazing, people may complain about the battery but for a phone as advanced as this its more then capable. The apps are amazing too and typing texts and emails is a breeze on the touch screen. I would highly recommend this phone.

All in all a very good but not great phone

Firstly I would like to start by saying that the reason I didnt give it a five out of five for the features is because of the poor camera that is built into the phone. The qwerty touch screen keyboard also takes some getting used to but I found that if you turn the phone sideways it was much easier.

The phone is lightweight and slim so fits in the pocket with ease. There is also no flash on the camera. There are hundreds of downloadable apps and games available using the Android market. The phone also looks great. All in all a very good but not great phone.

want a good high mega pixel camera? give this one a miss

Well nice try but if your looking for features and a good high mega pixel camera give this one a miss. It has no flash the camera and its only 3.5 mega pixels.

As for the "so called funky features you see in the advert well if that's want go ahead. Me I like a bit more definition in my pic's and free downloads for the Pro so I will stick with my Nokia N96 which is far superior for extra free download applications and the Carl Ziss, 5 Mega pixail Camera with good high power flash not to mention the other goodies.

Mobile phones are constantly being updated in a constantly evolving industry with huge demands. Where camera phones go up by the megapixel on a monthly basis and the next big feature just around the corner, it certainly can be confusing finding the right mobile phone.
