The weather application is funky

I just love this phone - it has a huge capacitive touchscreen, responds very well to touch. Has a five megapixel camera, and you can flick through the photos really easily, with just a little pinch you can zoom in or out of the pictures.

The weather application is funky, with animated graphics appearing on the homescreen. I'm geekish enough to set up the weather for all the different places where my relatives live.

Web browsing is really easy, like the pictures you can zoom in and out of web pages, tilt the phone sideways and it automatically shifts to landscape view. Can access the internet anywhere you get a mobile signal, but it really comes into its own when you use a wi-fi connection.

I use it to watch BBC iplayer and it works really well, with the screen being big enough to enjoy watching. Comes with mobile office built in too.

Only small downside I have come across is the on-screen keyboard, but with predictive text, this is a small matter.
Groups messages from contacts, making it really easy to follow a text conversation. All in all, a great phone.

So brilliant on the internet

The HTC HD2 is the most advanced phone until recently, it has a enormous size screen. The touch screen is so smooth and sensitive, its unimaginable.

So brilliant on the internet. It has a 5 megapixel camera with a flash. Also you have Microsoft Office Mobile so you have a mobile version of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Note, allowing you to create files on the move. Also you have the Microsoft Marketplace which is similar to the Apple App Store but they do have fewer but very similar apps.

nice phone which I get on with well and would recommend

A nice, slick phone but some of it is a bit of a pain. I find myself on the phone to someone whilst my face is touching buttons on the screen which you cant really stop. Also, there is usually a bit of a delay so you press end call but then find yourself calling someone else without really knowing. Apart from that, nice phone which I get on with well and would recommend.

The picture quality and also the sound is superb

Excellent features and exciting applications embedded with the phone. The large screen is an added advantage to the number of features it has. The picture quality and also the sound is superb. Apart from this the slim size it has attracts more with the fine metallic finishing.

you can have several applications open at once

I've had this phone for a week now and using YouTube I have found out how to understand every function on the HTC HD. The screen is great, the touch sensitivity may not be the best HTC have ever made but mine works fine. Media player works great, generally I think it is better than the iPhone because you can have several applications open at once. The only downside to this phone is the lack of apps compared to the iPhone.

Only one minus point I've found is the battery.

The list of features is so long that I could write a book. It's a small computer in your hands. It has almost everything you'd dream of (doesn't serve the beer though). The screen is just brilliant, the size of it and quality HD, it's unbelievable. I don't need my mp4 any more. It also can be use as a "router" to your computer. It's quite big but that's the cost if you want to have a big screen. Only one minus point I've found is the battery. That's the major problem because it lasts only a few hours if you use it quite often.

What I like best is that its so simple to use

I've only had my handset for a month now and cannot find any fault with it. What I like best is that its so simple to use. In fact, my mother who's in her mid 60s recently got one and shes not up with todays technology but found it very easy to use and to navigate her way around.

What I like most about the handset is Word and Excel feature with the choice of two templates. Its so simple to send a document using email feature. On the downside receiving ones email could be better dont you think! Guys, make it a true 'instant email' and do away with the minimum five minute setting: seriously dont understand why its there in the first place!

Other than that well done. You're up with the very best of them. Keep up the good work. I'm one happy bunny.

the battery has quite a short usage time if you use email

Waited ages for this phone coming out on o2, and it was well worth the wait. Couple of minor issues though, the camera makes a pink splodge on the center of some pics that are taken. Also the battery has quite a short usage time if you use email. Have it set for emails to arrive as they are received, this can be turned down to check for emails every 60 mins and is a lot better for the battery.

All in all a very good phone with lots of features, would definitely recommend it.

If you just want a lovely, fast, powerul and productive phone get this

Great phone with the best screen yet and fast processor. Great connectability even connects your ipod or laptop via the wireless router, plus the usual, facebook, twitter, WiFi, Explorer and Opera browsers with pinch zoom etc.

Camera is good, most apps work great, the odd doubling up of some apps is strange. The complaint about shutting programmes with task manager is unjustified. Do you leave all your programmes open on your PC or Mac when you have finished with them as that would slow down too, it is because it is able to run all these at the same time instead of one by one like the i-phone that it is so powerful wth its 1GHZ plus processor.

If you just want a lovely, fast, powerul and productive phone get this. If you want a phone wth a built in egg timer, pet puppy trainers and toilet roll spinning apps get an i-phone.

Home sreen looks great, but all downhill after that

Home sreen looks great, but all downhill after that. Adding contacts shows that HTC has glued a veneer of usability over an interface that reminds me of DOS in the 1980's.

But then it gets worse. I had this phone for two days before I sent it back. I would guess that I got an error message from Windows Mobile every 10 minutes of use. Worse: about every 10 mins I got an "out of memory" message. The solution seemed to be to go into task manager every time to stop running tasks, and/or to clear browser cache etc. EXCUSE ME! I just want a phone that WORKS. After two days I sent it back and phoned O2 to ask them to reinstate my iPhone - which is still brilliant even if I had to pay £87 for it!

Incidentally I don't blame HTC - I blame Microsoft.

my mates with iPhones are very impressed with this phone

Had this phone for 2 months now and I have to say I am very pleased. When I first opened it looked huge but now just looks normal. Took a while to get used too with so many features, even my mates with iPhones are very impressed with this phone. Battery life is good as is listening to my mp3 tunes, great phone.
