The battery life is appalling

I too have had nothing but problems with my storm 2 which is only 8 weeks old. The features on the phone are great but I hardly get to use them because of the software errors (missing buttons off the keypad, deleting things etc) and the freezing, now I can't hear anybody on the phone so its got to go back again.

I was told by a T mobile rep that its very common for software errors on these phones and that other customers have had to return their phones several times. The battery life is appalling. I generally use the phone a few times per day for calls, but have had to stop using it during the day in fear that the battery will completely die before I make it home from work.

Overall I am very disappointed with the Storm 2 and would advise people to avoid it like the plague until Blackberry sort out these software issues. Knew I should have gone for an iPhone.

I've had to have it replaced three times due to faults

This phone has good features however I've had to have it replaced three times due to faults. The first two phones I received had issues with the calls disconnecting after about 20 seconds thus making it impossible to speak to anyone.

On the latest phone the screen often freezes, usually when I'm making a call and it goes to voicemail - I end up not being able to disconnect the call therefore leave a pointless message while I struggle to get the battery out. Also, sometimes when I call people I'm unable to do so and have to attempt it 2 or 3 times due to an error message 'No Circuit Channel Available'.

If these faults were fixed then I would aboslutely love this phone with all of the features.

easy to use with a choice of three keyboards

Very easy to use with a choice of three keyboards. Large viewable screen and lots of apps to download. Email is quick to access and very good camera. All functions easy to use. Comes complete with magnetic leather holder and mains charger. Fairly quick to recharge although could be quicker if you leave the battery to run almost flat.

Maybe I have just been unlucky twice

Having taken a 2 year contract out with the Blackberry Storm 2 I was less than impressed with it freezing and crashing and then wiping off all my contacts and appointments within two weeks of ownership, this while I was just looking through the phone.

Even less impressive were Phones4U customer services who were totally unhelpful and refused to work with Vodafone who gave me their word that they would remove the Blackberry side of the contract. If done I could have had a different manufacture of phone to resolve the issue.

As Phones4U refused to make any effort I was left with a 8900 Curve I didnt want as a replacement. That is now faulty within a week as the roller ball wont scroll up properly only sideways and down. Maybe I have just been unlucky twice. I treat my phones like gold and I am hopeful that the Blackberry phone is still a good phone.

As for Phones4U I will never deal with them again, after years of buying phones through them everything was great right up until the vital moment I needed their support and they brushed me off without a second thought.
