Blackberry 8100 Pearl Reviews

Blackberry 8100 Pearl Overview
The Blackberry 8100 Pearl is one of Blackberry's smallest mobile handsets. It is particularly designed for the business minded with its instant email application and ability to run other applications. It has a media player and a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and 64MB of of memory plus MicroSD. It has a very useful rollerball for operating in the middle of the 2 letter per button keyboard. This is a great little phone which packs a good punch.

Excellent handset, easy to use, able to view multiple e-mail accounts
Excellent handset, easy to use, able to view multiple e-mail accounts (work & personal for example) & lots of downloads available. Able to back up and sync to your computer, so calender dates, contact details, tasks and notes don't go missing if your phone does.
The push e-mail facility is fantastic compared to any others
I love this phone, (although it may be slightly too complicated for me!). The push e-mail facility is fantastic compared to any others which I have used. I recommend this to anyone who needs easy and regular access to their e-mail account on the move.
Slick and easy to use business style mobile
Great mobile, cool, slick and easy to use business style mobile for use of email, calls, and much much more.
Very light and easy to navigate and call, the best phone i have had to date. I would give this phone a rating of four out of five, with not many faults.
Not really impressed overall, waiting for the new Nokia solutions to come out
I've found that the keyboards are very prone to faulty keys. Also the battery life is slightly less than average at the start, very quickly deteriorating to very poor, I charge mine fully everyday and it is always on one bar by the end of the day.
The camera is very basic, and enterprise activation is hit and miss, not really impressed overall, waiting for the new Nokia solutions to come out that have advanced BES support
Overall, I have found it very difficult to use
It is not the easiest of phones to use, it doesn't have simple calling and texting services and my battery doesn't last long either.
This phone maybe ideal if using for business and access to email, but for using just as a basic phone, I don't believe it is very good.
However, the camera is very good, except for some reason I am not able to use the zoom anymore.
Overall, I have found it very difficult to use and have not been able to use all the functions as I do not understand them.
Not bad very simple to make calls
The Blackberry 8100 overall is not bad but it lacks reception in most of the south east.
This is not due to my network as I have had better reception on the same network with a different phone.
The phone is very simple to find addresses and to make calls.
Call quality is very clear when in a good signal area.
Stand out phone! It almost washes the dishes it is that good
The Blackberry 8100 Pearl is one of the best phones I have ever had - easy to use and great email.
Very stylish but a bit large and heavy - but it has all the features you could ever want! Will nearly even wash the dishs...
You want a phone to use for work or social this is it. Stand out in the crowd.....
Countless features
I finally opted for the Blackberry 8100, previously I had the old blackberry just on a data contract and a separate phone, 2 devices was becoming a pain! Im very happy with it but agree with an earlier review that you do need to read the manual before setting it all up.
There are countless features some not really used at all like memo, calculator, but for emails and voice it does the job, battery life is good too.
Disappointed to see they now do them in white after purchasing mine as I would have preferred white, seems to be in at the moment :)
Features are comprehensive
The Blackberry 8100 isnt your typical plug and play phone, its a great phone packed with features but you do need to spend some time during the set up and perhaps a learning curve if you havent had a Blackberry before but its worth the effort.
Design is very slick with a good size screen.
Features are comprehensive, email, (personal & business accounts easy to set up) calender, camera, organiser, I particularly like the calender which I can sync with the pc, reminders are then displayed on the homepage of the phone.
My only gripe is the spam filter with my network isnt comprehensive enough to stop me receiving spam on the Blackberry which is a nuisance and the camera feature is very basic, other than that a great phone for business or personal use and means I dont have to carry 2 devices and always have access to the office email if required.
