You could almost regard this phone as a 'poor man's Blackberry' - hell it even looks like one. The domed keys are easy to use, Google maps works with or without 3G, although it's more accurate 'with', battery life on standby is a few days. Wizards to set up push and pull mail work well. There's none too many 'apps' for it, well not like an iPhone let's say, but there's a £24 GPS adapter to make Google or OVI maps works properly as you move. Good solid performance for those that want a 'business phone' on a budget. Fashion victims need not apply!

The phone is good for receiving emails, texts and phone calls. If you want to surf the net then this is not the right phone for you. It is slow and complicated to use. The screen is too small and just going back is ridiculously complicated. It's really annoying when you want to know the time and you can't see it because you're browsing the net. It is really good for emails though. You can sync them so you receive them immediately. Battery is good. Menus are easy to use. Getting apps is just annoying and I have given up on them.

Good structure, very strong. Not the most entertaining phones of today, too slow opening applications and even then they are limited. The microphone used to speak into isn't the greatest, half the time it cuts in and out even when you have full bars of signal. The display is fair, nothing special but allot thicker and well supported than allot of the rubbish that's out there these days. Nokia have made a decent go at copying the Blackberry's 'business phone' appeal but missed out some key features that meet minimum requirements of today's buyers. The phone for example has no volume control on the exterior, its things like this that show the Nokia E63 was built on a less than mediocre budget.

I am extremely pleased with my E63. Got it on an excellent deal with Three, £18 per month unlimited internet. The net works really well, though that may be because I live in London. Have not used it outside the city yet. The keyboard works well, and there are some decent apps. Nokia has have never let me down. Slightly chunky, but I don't keep it in my pocket so it is fine.

The phone sits perfectly in your palm, extremely easy to use, hope Nokia keep making them like this, with the shortcut buttons, the widgets and nice qwerty keyboard. Suitable for professional people, due to the preloaded software, whilst also appealing to others as they can access the internet via wi-fi.
