This is the worst handset I have ever come across. I was forced into taking it by T-Mobile when my Sony Ericsson died, and as it was no longer in production was given peanuts as a change value (joys of being on a contract!!) and ended up with a choice of two phones - the N79 or something really basic. I think I should have chosen the latter.
It vibrates constantly, changes colour at the same time and suddenly needs recharging when it gets to 4 (out of 7) bars otherwise it dies on a call. The menu function is awkward, and the response time is so slow, I frequently press twice, ending up on something I didn't want to get to. It is very plastic, which I think highlights the build quality, and the problems I've suffered.
I can't think of any reason to recommend it. It is the first Nokia I've had in over 12 years, and never again !!!

I have had nothing but problems with my N79 since I upgraded around May this year. I had intermittent freezing with odd colour changes and vibration when no-one calling, T-Mobile had the handset for a month, upon returning it, with the same problem, I solved it myself.
The back cover governs what colour the display shows, ie if the blue one is on then its blue. The one I had on was faulty, confusing the smartphone. I now have another problem, it seems to eat batteries, why I dont know, but cant cope without my phone for another month, so I do not rate the handset as much as I thought I would.

The N73 has everything more or less everything I want in a phone. Customizable menu, light, fantastic Mp3 player and an excellent auto focus camera with dual flash. Also has a FM transmiter, a nice little feature so you can play your tunes through your own or someone elses radio. The sound is suprisingly clear once youve found a clear frequency.
Not the best for playing games (too small) and would love a phone with an Ogg Vorbis player but overall a very VERY impressive phone.

Although I like the interchangeable back covers, you are limited as to which ones you can get - the phone is only on T Mobile, and they only offer black or white, whereas Nokia will sell you the silver one which has far girlier colours... but does cost you £300!
Its an OK phone. Its tricky to text, probably hence its mainly girly, and the camera is 5 megapixels but is just as poor as my last one which was only 2....
You can't change the settings on the front screen which is annoying, as I like mine clean, but it does force you to use the calendar feature!
Its OK, not fab but I wanted a Nokia and I didn't want a slide phone... so its the best of a bad bunch really!
