Got this phone for the camera. Didn't use anything else other than phone, text and Bluetooth.
The flash was so bad that the indoor photo's were all too dark. If anything moved it was blurred so taking photo's of my children was impossible.
Now found out that it's a common problem with most phones that have an LED flash so now waiting for a phone with a decent camera and a Xenon flash.

Design is not very pleasing, but the camera obviously being an 8MP camera phone, is excellent, internet works well but slow at times which is a real let down, games work fine. Audio is good.
GPS is very fast, and seems reliable, although we are warned not to depend on it, but it seems reliable. I recommend this if you want a sleek, handy phone, with good quality camera, and clever GPS.
*audio quality is good only through headphones
*internet pages often freeze
*GPS very fast, clear, clever, and reliable, no matter where you are
*excellent camera
*design not to pretty, but sleek and scratch resistant

It has been 2 months since my first review. The phone is still going without any significant problems with regard to call functionality. The slight looseness in the slider mechanism has not gotten any worse.
I would have hoped the GPS would improve after the latest firmware update but it is still poor. It takes at least 3 minutes to get a satellite lock and I live out in the country with clear blue skies above me. There is no way this will work in the city or in a car.
The music player and radio is quite good with lots of sound output even from the speakers. The camera is average for 8 megapixel. I have the very first Canon Ixus at 2 mp and the performance is far superior so I think this whole megapixel number is just a lot of rubbish. Having said that the panorama function works well but forget about geo tagging, it does not work.
So if you want a good camera phone with gps I suggest you look elsewhere.

I have had my N86 for 3 days now and already the slider is loose and rattles a bit. The GPS does not work. The camera works well though and the panorama feature is really cool. Low light performance is average. Menu setup and symbian OS is easy to work with. However, overall I am a little disappointed.
