This Sony Ericsson phone is an entry level phone with good design and features. It is often offered with Pay As You Go packages due to it's very low price point.
The phone features polyphonic ringtones, colour screen, mms supprt together with a couple of games. The phone is well made and of a good quality. Battery life is superb with it requiring a charge about once a week.
I like 90% of this phone, the only flaw I have is the circular navgation button (with 4 features). It can be a bit fiddly but that might just be my fat fingers!

A good general purpose mobile phone that is simple to use. The screen is mainly black and white with a bit of colour thrown in. The screen is quite small compared to the size of the phone. What I like about this phone is that it has some good shortcuts (or Hot Keys). The large navigation button in the middle of the phone will take you to messaging, contacts, alarm clock or volume control. I find this quite useful.
This phone isn't overpacked with features but if all you are looking for is to make calls and send text messages then this is ideal. It has about 10 different ring tones to select from. This mobile holds its charge very well. You can leave it on for days and it will still respond when you need it. The overall feel is quite nice. fairly light, a simple, not over complicated keypad with quite large keys.
On the whole a very good basic mobile phone. I'm happy with this phone.

Received this phone for christmas 07 and for the first 4 or 5 months worked ok, but since then have had problems both calling and receiving calls, although I do receive some calls, also I keep getting emergency only (perhaps a network issue), although I can still send and receive texts.
It is only a basic model but was ideal for the way I used a mobile, only phoning and texting, the extras are useful such as stopwatch and the reminders section. Would be ok for a child at school to keep in touch with parents if they went out.
All in all I would recommend this handset for people who need just a basic phone with no extras such as a camera ect.

The SE J110i is available on a cheap deal and complete with £10 PAYG airtime. This is a very basic phone (no camera, no video recording, no polyphonic ring tones) which would suit older people, children or technophobes as a first time buy.
If anyone needs a spare phone for the car or cutlery drawer at home this is the perfect cheapy mobile device to buy.
It is a plasticky case, has terrible lcd screen and very unlikely to appeal to any streetwise kids or fashionistas who dont want a phone but need to make a statement.
On the plus side it is Virgin Mobile on the version available from CarphoneWarehouse so the network is reasonably good and the Virgin website as you would expect offers lots of extras and even a £2 registration bonus on this offer.
