Personally I find this phone to be highly reliable when it comes to wear and damage, as its the only phone I have seen that has not broke after dropping it a fair few times, which I believe is an essential, if your an active and social person. Previously owned phones Ive had haven't lasted for longer than 6 weeks. The options are simple yet there is always room for improvement, as the space is limited and the battery runs low rather quickly. There is also room for more undated applications such as web browsing, and a updated camera. This Phone is rather stiff when using on a day to day basis, texts and phone calls run fairly well but overall I think its a great choice for something simple yet strong.

This is one of the worst phones I have owned. Phone comes with no accessories - not even memory card!! This phone has put me off touch screens and LG. Camera is OK. The phone in general is very slow and not so easy to use. Poor battery! I got this on 3 contract as an upgrade over the phone and can't wait to get a new phone!! The speaker is loud which I like, but I would not recommend this phone to anyone!!!! The phone does not look that good and quite difficult to use Internet on this phone. I use this phone on a daily basis to text and use Internet like ebay / facebook and hotmail. I have now put the contract on its lowest tariff and I am about to get a new contract to run alongside this one. I have had enough of this phone.

The LG Viewty is a nicely sized and weighted phone with the whole of the face being one large touch operated screen. This works great for taking and viewing pictures/video clips.

Although boasting a 5MP camera, the resulting photos do not often reflect this. The camera will sometimes inexplicably change the settings and reduce the picture size, which may be fine in darker situations but it does not return to normal (higher resolution) settings when the light improves.

The camera can also 'jolt' just as the shutter takes a picture. Resulting in a slightly blurred image. There is an image stabilizing function but it only reduces the effect slightly, not fix it. In my opinion a 3MP in focus picture would be better than a 5MP out of focus one!

However, all this said, the camera is fairly decent for a phone one. The flash works well and the video camera gives good results. There is also a good panoramic setting, which once mastered gives impressive pictures. You just need to check your current setting every time you start using the camera to make sure you're getting what you want.

The usability of the phone is extremely poor for two main reasons. The warning it gives you when the battery is low and the general usability whilst taking a call. Many a time my phone has run out of battery in my pocket and I am none the wiser. It will give one inaudible notice of 'low battery' a minute or two before it shuts down. Unlike Nokias where I've known them to keep people awake half the night with their low battery warnings!

When on the phone and the keypad is required, first the user has to unlock the phone, then press another button to bring up the keypad. This makes it very hard to hear what is being said on the phone whilst trying to find the correct buttons. It is also VERY hard to find the speaker phone function which could make this process a lot easier.

Another disappointing feature of the phone is its general processing speed. It is slow to load up after switching it on and it can be very slow loading up the photo gallery. Although this could be greatly improved, I suppose it's not too bad considering the age of the model.

All In all, a phone that has its frustrating points but could be considered a good value phone considering its camera now that newer similar models are available but at a higher price.

The applications on it are alright for a standard phone, although the LG Cookie, which I believe to be the older model has many more cool applications on it. The calibrator can mess around with you if you are a quick and frequent texter like I am. I got mine from Three and it never came with software, PC connection or Stylus.

Phone is extremely good quality for its price. A brilliant phone for messaging and internet use.

The handy pen attachment is really useful as a storage place for the stylus. Both the outter and inner camera's are good and music quality was great on this phone.

Really good value for money. The only problem with this phone is the fact that the charger socket broke so I was unable to charge it. I would however purchase another one.
