Although the Walkman w550i is on the chunky side, it is still an excellent all round performer from Sony Ericsson. The swivel head design is neat and aesthticallly pleasing though perhaps some of the buttons are fiddly.
There is a great selection of games which if you don't be careful will eat up your time, and the mp3 player has a very good menu set out and is very easy to use, I found it easy to listen to all my favourite tunes.

I love this phone! It is quite old now and perhaps new models have snazzier features, but it has lasted well and it has everything I need.
It has a very good quality camera and a mp3 player so if my iPod battery runs down I can still play some tunes! It is lovely to look at in my opinion and it comes with different skins so you can change its look.
Overall, very lovely!

I actually just replaced this phone, but I did have it about 3 years and its a good phone if you aren't too bothered about the latest camera. It doesn't have space for a memory card, but does have a lot of internal space and is very good for music (loud). Also, I never had to send it to get repairs even though I dropped it quite a lot.

The Sony Ericsson W550i certainly stands out from the crowd. The standard orange cover and unique design sets it apart from the rest.
It is a little bit difficult to get the hang of at first, but like all new phones it soon comes naturally. The features of this phone when it was released were second to none, and they still remain very good for a mobile in this price range.
The camera is very good quality and easy to use but the main feature has to be the walkman/mp3 player (after all this is marketed by Sony Ericsson as a Walkman phone and it does exactly what it says on the tin).
One thing I will say when considering this phone is take a look at more recent Ericsson models, as they have many of the same features as the W550i but are more streamlined in design. Also, previous flip phone users may find it hard to get the hang of the sidewards opening of this model.

This is a chunky, well designed and appealing little phone that is durable and has lots of character for a small phone.
The ergonomics give it a quality feel, and even though it is slightly heavy by modern phone standards it is fairly small.
The features are impressive and include bluetooth, mp3 player (with limited memory), fm radio, triband, wap, infra red, camera, and video with light. It also incorporates built in stereo speakers and comes with wired earphones which also act as the antannae for the radio.
The screen is a good size and the polyphonic ringtones sound excellent. The pc software to connect to and transfer photos/music works well, and Sony stands up to it's reputation for making desirable, quality electronic goods. A good all-round phone that has lasted well with no complaints.
