Quite simply the best phone ever made, it is perfect for the novice and phone buff alike. With a fairly basic camera yet a great sounding speaker this model caters for everything on a budget. A secondhand 6230i these days are easy to pick up and I strongly recommend buying one for a parent who has little experience of mobiles yet wants a picture of the family, perfect.

The 6239i is a great little hardwearing phone. With the typical Nokia durability and ease of use coupled with a long battery life it is a great phone for doing the basics and doing them well plus has some extra features that mean you don't feel like you are out of touch with technology.
I have one of these as my travel phone, anywhere I think I shouldn't take a posh touchscreen phone for fear of loss, theft or breakage (such as camping and running) this is the one that comes with me. Being triband it also works abroad without any fuss.
As well as all the basic call functions, calendar, notes and so on it also has a reliable 1.3 megapixel camera which also shoots video clips. It takes MMC cards up to 512mb so you can store your photos and videos and easily move them to your computer later.
The XHTML browser is not the fastest, but works competantly and is fine for checking your emails on the move. MP3 player has all thew standard functions and decent sound quality, as does the FM radio meaning you never get bored on long journeys.
Overall, a great little phone, much overlooked in favour of the new iPhones and other touch screen options - but if you need long battery life and the basic features this is a much better option.

The Nokia 6230i was a fantastic phone in its day. With its camera and Nokia ease of use it was a lot better than much of its competition at the time.
However, it's starting to look a bit dated now with slimmer competition offering easier to use and more flexible menus. I still like it as it is one of the last of the old fashioned Nokia's which I have used for a long time and don't want to learn different ways of doing the same thing.
Overall its still a good bog standard phone, but don't expect it to do as much as the more recent offerings.

Still use this for my works phone, never had any issues and can easily change the covers to give it a bit of a new look when I get bored of it. Great battery life, one of the best from all the phones I've had and still got some good features for using a phone as a phone and not a media centre.

By far the best mobile phone I have ever owned. It's tough, it's got a great battery life and above all it's the most reliable phone I have ever used.
Even now, to this very day, I still carry mine along side my PDA. It's such a light little thing. I know I can always depend on it when my PDA battery goes dead. Even with regular use, I can go for 3 days between charges.
The keypad doesn't have any silly design over function nastiness. It's just simple and clear.
The screen is clear and a good size. The camera function is of a good quality, even though it's VGA.
I honestly don't know what I would do if God forbid, anything happened to my 6230i.
I cannot rate this phone highly enough. If you're looking for a phone that's cheap, reconditioned and something that will last, you will not go wrong with this!
