Apple has released a small update to iOS, bringing the most current version of the firmware up to 5.1.1. The small update delivers fixes for HDR photography and general OS bug fixes. One of the previous updates to iOS set shortcuts to activate the camera from the standby screen. Whilst this has generally worked well, some people experienced issues when using HDR settings for pictures. This OS update has made that less of an issue, making it more stable and reliable. The New iPad bug of not switching correctly between 2G and 3G networks has been fixed, as well as bugs affecting...

Figures from the US show that downloads from the Apple App store fell by almost 30 percent in March, down from 6.35 million per day in February, to 4.45 million. Pretty much since the debut of the original iPhone, there has been speculation that a Nano version was in the pipeline, but to date nothing has materialised. The idea does sound appealing, and if Apple were looking for a new direction to keep the iPhone at the top of the most wanted handset list, then they could do a lot worse than release an iPhone Mini. If, as expected, a Mini iPhone was...
